Demi-Leigh Tebow and husband Tim announce arrival of their bundle of joy
In a joint post on Monday, the couple shared pictures of their newborn baby girl Daphne Reign .
Demi revealed the meaning behind her names, saying Daphne was inspired by her mother's sister who stepped in as a grandmother figure to her growing up. Her second name Reign was inspired by a little girl she and Tim loved deeply for years.
'Here she is — our daughter. Our answered prayer. Daphne Reign Tebow — created in the image of God. Royalty as his princess. Our biggest prayer over her is to reign in God's purpose for her life,' Demi wrote.
' Our daughter is here! We couldn't be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life. We're grateful to the whole medical team that assisted us in the best way possible during my labour and delivery. From our doctor to our nurses and all the hospital staff — we are so grateful and thankful for you. Thank you to everyone who's been praying with us over her arrival. We are incredibly thankful for all of the love and support we've felt. '

Malusi Gigaba loses court bid to block airing of former wife's TV interview
Former home affairs minister Malusi Gigaba's urgent bid to block his ex-wife Nomachule Mngoma's TV interview about their failed marriage, allegations of infidelity and pornography has been struck from the roll. MultiChoice attorney Dario Milo told Sowetan on Wednesday that the matter was thrown out due to a lack of urgency. 'Accumulative costs were awarded against Mr Gigaba. This means that the broadcast can go ahead because he was unable to stop it,' Milo said. End of an era: Miss SA CEO Stephanie Weil steps down
Miss South Africa (Miss SA) CEO Stephanie Weil has stepped down from her position in a move that has shocked the pageant industry. In 2019, the rights to the competition were sold to Weil's company after it was previously helmed by Sun International, a hotel and entertainment group. Earlier this year, creative director Werner Wessels parted ways with the organisation to pursue other interests. On Wednesday, 9 July, the Instagram pageant fan account @allthingsmissa posted a statement that Stephanie Weil had stepped down as CEO. It confirmed that Weil would continue to helm the pageant until her successor had been named. 'Miss Weil will be staying on for as long as is required to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership and to ensure that the best interests of the Miss South Africa organisation are served'. Although the pageant has yet to make the official announcement, comments from industry insiders confirmed the news. Former Miss SA creative director Werner Wessels posted: 'Proud of having stood behind this woman for so many years! THE Golden queen of Miss South Africa!' Miss SA 2001 Vanessa Carreira commented: 'Wishing you everything of the very best for the future. You have been phenomenal.' Pageant photographer SJ van Zyl added: 'So many amazing shoots, opportunities and things I've learnt from her. Big shoes to fill'. In recent months, the Miss SA organisation has sparked speculation that something is amiss. This is related to concerns over the delay in 2025's Top 30 announcement, pulling out of Miss Supranational licence, and rumours that it may cut ties with Miss Universe as well. Werner Wessels' departure, a rumoured fraught relationship with former title holder Zozi Tunzi, and criticism of reigning queen Mia Le Roux have also been hot topics amongst pageant insiders. WHO OWNS NATIONAL BEAUTY PAGEANT? According to its website, hotel and hospitality conglomerate Sun International acquired full ownership of the Miss SA pageant in 2000. Before that, the pageant was sponsored by publications including the Sunday Times, Rapport, and the now defunct Afrikaans newspaper , Die Landstem. In 2019, Sun International sold the rights to the pageant to Weil Entertainment, whose owner is CEO Stephanie Weil. Weil, who took over the reigns from her late mother, Suzanne Weil in 2019, has been the driving force behind the prestigious national beauty pageant. In a statement, Miss South Africa said: 'The organisers of Miss South Africa wish Stephanie Weil everything of the best with her new endeavours as an agreement has been reached that Ms Weil will be leaving the organisation after many years as CEO of Miss South Africa. 'Ms Weil will be staying on for as long as is required to ensure a smooth transition to new leadership and ensure that the best interest of the Miss South Africa organisation are served,' they added. Under Weils leadership, there has been many inspiring changes at Miss SA, which has become a a space that champions women inclusivity and advocates for women's rights. This announcement comes after fans have expressed concern online as many noticed that there aren't any updates on the Top 30 contestants, which is usually revealed around this time of the year. 'We would love a professional communication regarding Miss SA 2025 top 30,' @folafakathi wrote. 'Soo Miss SA is usually in a month, apparently the pageant plans are underway?? How though? Like please @official_misssa can you give us something? Anything? Smoke signals? Beacons? Just something to feel hopeful about,' @leane_vanessen said. While @dantedefreita added: 'When will the top 30 be announced?' The Miss SA organisation added in their statement that in terms of this year's contest, the organisers are making progress with the preparations. 'The organisers of the Miss SA contest are making good progress with the preparations for the Miss SA contest, which will be a huge success,' they shared. Weil's resignation comes after the organisation announced early this year that they will not be participating in the Miss Supranational international competition because they did not renew their license. Meanwhile Werner Wessels also announced earlier this year that he is resigning from his position as the creative director of Miss SA.
