Prince Harry's team bites back after claims William could 'banish' Sussexes
Prince Harry's team has bitten back at claims he is 'seriously worried' about being exiled from the UK by his brother Prince William when he takes the throne. "Harry is seriously worried that when his father dies one day, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all,' said royal author Tom Bower in a recent interview with the Mirror.
But Harry's team rubbished the claims and a spokesperson said Harry retains a desire to reconnect with his family following a long-running and very public feud. Harry continues to live in the US with his wife Meghan Markle.
'It's funny how the people who know the least about him always have the most to say,' the spokesperson told GB News. Recently, Harry himself said he would 'love reconciliation' with his family. 'There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious,' the Duke of Sussex said.
Of the feud with his father King Charles III, Harry said that disagreements regarding his security when he is in the UK has left the two not being on speaking terms.
Harry's level of security changed in 2020 when he and Meghan stepped down as working royals and moved to California for financial and personal freedom, and he suggested the royal family and officials hoped his realisation of the increased safety risk 'would force us to come back'. The duke failed in an appeal against the dismissal of his High Court claim against the Home Office, over the decision of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC) that he should receive a different degree of protection when in the UK.
Harry, a father of two, said he wants the feud to end because he "does not know how much longer my father has".
Harry said he has now 'forgiven' his family. But he added: "I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point."
Some steps have been taken to close the rift. The Sussexes' chief communications officer Meredith Maines and their UK PR chief Liam Maguire were seen with communication secretary for the King, Tobyn Andreae. Photos of the meeting at the Royal Over-Seas League near Clarence House were obtained by the Mail on Sunday, which cited an insider saying there were "things both sides wanted to talk about" but no 'formal agenda' for the talks. The Mail reports that it is not known which side initiated the meeting.
The rift between the Sussexes and the royal family widened significantly following their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which they alleged a member of the family was concerned about their son Archie's skin tone before he was born.
Then the duke claimed in his controversial memoir, Spare, his brother the Prince of Wales had physically attacked him and that the King put his own interests above Harry's and was jealous of Meghan.

Ozzy Osbourne's funeral details 'revealed' with moving nod to his beloved hometown
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on Tuesday morning after his family shared the news last night and tributes have poured in celebrating the life of The Prince of Darkness A tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne is reportedly being planned for his hometown of Birmingham, ahead of a smaller private funeral. This news emerged just a day after the musician's passing was announced. The Osbourne family revealed last evening that the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath had passed away at 76, surrounded by his family yesterday morning. His wife Sharon Osbourne, 72, and four of his children released a collective statement. The announcement sparked a flood of tributes for Ozzy, who reunited with his former bandmates for a farewell concert in Birmingham earlier this month. Since then, flowers have been placed on the Black Sabbath Bridge bench and the bridge itself, as fans visit the site to pay their respects, the Mirror reports. It's now been reported that a high-profile celebration of Ozzy's life could be held in the coming weeks, before a smaller, private funeral. Among those rumoured to be involved with the memorial event is Yungblud, 27. Yungblud, who performed at Ozzy's farewell concert Back to the Beginning, earlier this month, was believed to have developed a close bond with the late singer-songwriter. He shared with fans that he was "truly heartbroken" upon hearing the news last night. A source told The Sun: "There are conversations about a celebration of his life in Birmingham, the city that meant so much to him. Artists like Yungblud, who was seen by Ozzy as a musician who could carry on the mantle of what he started all those years ago, is expected to have a role in it." They added that many celebrities will want to pay their respects alongside countless fans. The source said, "There are hundreds of big names who will want to pay their respects and celebrate his life and legacy, as well as thousands of fans who would line the streets to say goodbye." It was announced yesterday that Ozzy, who had battled various health problems over the years, had passed away. His wife Sharon and four of his children - Louis, Aimee, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne - released a statement. The statement read: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis." Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, was one of the many who paid tribute to Ozzy after the news broke. He shared a heartfelt post on Instagram reflecting on their friendship, accompanied by recent backstage photos of the two together. The 27-year-old wrote in his tribute: "I didn't think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room. But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don't." "I will never forget you - you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough," continued. Yungblud, who recently released a charity cover of Black Sabbath's song Changes, ended his tribute with: "You took us on your adventure - an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time."

Love Island fans concerned for Shakira as emotional star tipped to quit villa
Love Island 2025 viewers were left divided over Harry and Shakira's chats a day on from him becoming 'exclusive' with Helena, with Shakira struggling to move on Another Love Island star could be about to walk from the show according to fans after emotional scenes. Worried fans said Shakira Khan appeared "drained" as her ongoing situation with 'ex' Harry in the villa took its toll - amid a double return on the series. As she confessed to pal Toni that there were unresolved feelings there with Harry, who has moved on with Helena, she realised she didn't want to pursue things with current partner Conor. Pals Shakira and Conor decided to give romance a go, but a week in Shakira has realised she "can't give him what he needs". While she made it clear Harry "wasn't right for her" and she didn't want to go back there, she confessed to Toni and then Conor that she wasn't over the situation. Harry is now "exclusive" with Helena, after weeks of Harry playing the two girls against each other, flipping between both of them more than once. As she spoke with Conor, who said he'd been dragged along and then left, Shakira confessed she didn't want to be with anyone. She said she was finding it hard to put everything with Harry to bed, with viewers saying it was "obvious" she was "hurt" badly by Harry and what happened there. Accusing Harry of "ruining" Shakira's time on the show, they watched as Shakira broke down in tears during a chat with Toni and Yasmin. Shakira seemed devastated by what had happened, and was seeming to question her future on the show. She said she was finding it difficult to be "present" in the villa, as well as having to try and move on while being in the bed next to Helena and Harry. Making a comment about staying single, she left fans concerned for her with many viewers sure it could lead to her quitting the show. Believing it would be best for Shakira to be away from the villa, some fans pleaded with the Islander to consider leaving the show. Taking to social media, one worried fan said: "I feel like Shakira might walk soon," as another agreed: "I think Shakira is going to walk to be honest, poor girl she's deserved so much better." A third fan said: "I think Shakira is gonna walk. It's so sad seeing her so miserable for weeks," while a fourth added: "Yeah I think Shakira is gonna walk. It's so obvious she's over the experience at this point." Others called for her to make the decision, with one fan saying: "Shakira time to pack it up babe.. Bow out with your head held up high.. Just tell them you want to go." Another said: "Shakira is drained, you can tell. She just needs to go home tbh." A further post read: "I really do think Harry's ruined Shakira's experience but damn she looks like she needs to go home." Another said: "She needs to go home, I'm worried about her now." There was a shock for both Conor and Shakira by the end of the episode, as former Islander and Conor's ex Megan walked through the villa doors. She'd just been on a date with Conor where he told her about him and Shakira cooling things. Megan wasn't the only return, with Blu also making a comeback. The Islanders screamed when they saw the duo back in the villa after weeks away.
