First look at the T-Mobile Revvl 8 Pro
Compared to the Revvl 7 Pro, the Revvl 8 Pro has a two-tone design on the back and keeps the quad-camera system from last year. However, with the Revvl 8 Pro, the cameras and the flash are mounted flush with the rear panel. Last year's model featured a camera module that protruded from the rear panel. The Revvl 8 Pro will probably carry a 50MP Wide camera, a 5MP Ultra-wide camera, a 2MP Macro camera for close ups, and a 2MP Depth camera that works with the Wide camera to collect depth information for create the blurry background known as the "Bokeh" effect, and to help create 3D images for AR use.

The Revvl 8 Pro will probably keep the 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. Last year's Pro model was powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 application processor (AP) and a mid-range Snapdragon or MediaTek AP. The upcoming Pro model should continue to sport a decent 5000 mAh battery. Like last year, we'd expect the Revvl 8 Pro to feature 256GB of native storage with a microSD slot that supports as much as 2TB of expandable storage. While the Revvl 8 Pro should keep the $249.99 price tag of its predecessor, you can count on T-Mobile offering several promotions when the device is released. A T-Mobile employee leaked an August release for the phone, which will no doubt be accompanied by the less capable but lower priced Revvl 8. Both models should come out of the box with Android 15 pre-installed.

Google has abandoned Samsung and is switching to TSMC for future Tensor chipsets – the first, the Tensor G5, will power the Pixel 10 series and is already doing the rounds on Geekbench. The upcoming Pixel Watch 4, however, is not changing chipsets. The latest report is that Google will reuse the same chipset as on the Watch 3 and the Watch 2, the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1. This 2022 chip is fabbed on a 4nm node and has four Cortex-A53 cores. We recently heard that Qualcomm is working on a Snapdragon W6, with one big Cortex- A78 core and four A55 cores, but it seems that Google has no interest in that. Instead, the company may just be biding its time until its custom Tensor chip is ready in time for the Pixel Watch 5. That's what we heard back in late 2024 and the leak indicated that the Tensor chip will have the same 1x A78 + 4x A55 setup as the W6 – that's also the same configuration as the Exynos W1000 that Samsung reused for the Galaxy Watch8 series. Back to the Google Pixel Watch 4. We've seen renders, which pointed to a thicker body – 14.3mm, up from 12.3mm. The latest info indicates that both sizes – the 45mm model code named 'kenari'/FK23 and the 41mm model code named 'meridian'/FME23 – will have larger batteries, which may explain the chunkier build. The Pixel Watch 4 41mm will have a 327mAh battery (+20mAh from the Watch 3 41mm), while the 45mm model will have a 459mAh battery (+39mAh). Those represent +7% and +9% increases, respectively. That's not much considering the W5 Gen 1 chip is not the most efficient around. Charging speeds will be increased too, but no concrete numbers have leaked yet. Besides offering a choice between 41mm and 45mm size, the Pixel Watch 4 will come in Bluetooth and 4G flavors. And it will be available in several colors with different bands ranging from two-tone leather through Active Sport band and to metal mesh bands. We expect that the new Pixel Watch 4 will be unveiled alongside the Pixel 10 series. Source

iPhone 17 now rumored to feature Apple A19 chip
A while back, we saw a rumor that claimed the upcoming iPhone 17 would be equipped with the same Apple A18 chip as its predecessor. Well, it turns out that GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu is now backtracking from his previous claim and expects the iPhone 17 to feature the all-new Apple A19 chip, which will also power the iPhone 17 Air. iPhone 17 renders in Green and Purple If you were also hoping for more RAM on the baseline iPhone 17, that's apparently not going to happen. The latest report from Pu suggests the device will once again feature 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. The other two models in the iPhone 17 series are expected to feature 12GB RAM, with the 17 Air offering the same LPDDR5 speeds. Meanwhile, the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will receive faster LPDDR5X RAM. iPhone 17 family dummy units The entire iPhone 17 series is also rumored to bring Apple's self-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip. The vanilla model is expected to offer a larger 6.3-inch OLED, which may finally get a 120Hz refresh rate though it won't be of the LTPO variety (ProMotion in Apple lingo) like on the Pro series.
