When and Where to watch Kankhajura
The intense and gripping drama KanKhajura is available for streaming exclusively on Sony LIV starting May 30. This web series is an original production by the streaming platform.
To build anticipation for the release, Sony LIV has posted multiple updates on its social media handles. In one of its recent posts on X (formerly Twitter), the platform teased the upcoming show with the caption, 'What you hear might not always be the truth. Get ready for a narrative that creeps into your mind... much like how the KanKhajura creeps beneath the skin.'
Plot of Kankhajura
KanKhajura tells the story of Ashu (played by Roshan Mathew), a man granted early release from prison under the condition that he serve as an informant for the police. Upon returning to his hometown in Goa, Ashu attempts to rebuild his relationship with his estranged brother Max (portrayed by Mohit Raina).
However, their fractured bond soon unravels further as they become ensnared in a complex tangle of deception, hidden truths, and shifting realities.
The series, whose title KanKhajura refers to the Hindi term for a centipede, also features standout performances by Sarah Jane Dias, Mahesh Shetty, and Ninad Kamat. Trinetra Haldar adds a deeply personal dimension to the narrative by portraying herself, bringing authentic LGBTQIA+ representation into the storyline.
The plot kicks off with a suspected criminal being released from jail, only to begin collaborating with the police. This sets the tone for Roshan Mathew's character, one who, much like a centipede, strikes with venom when threatened but remains vulnerable in a world of larger predators.
Forced to hide or move strategically, the character's survival depends on secrecy and timing. KanKhajura powerfully delves into this idea of covert existence, where danger and duplicity lurk in the shadows. Stay tuned with Pinkvilla for more updates!

Ed Sheeran lookalike fools Indian fans, they call him ‘humble'; real one is rocking Oslo jamming with Sigrid
'Humble' Ed Sheeran, a lookalike of the singer, who gets great reviews for mingling with crowds who don't know he's not real, made an appearance at the Old Trafford Test match. Test Match Special and Barmy Army also registered his presence on their official accounts. The British singing sensation is a genuine fan of Test cricket and has attended matches at Old Trafford. But on Sunday, even as Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja went about resurrecting hopes of a draw on a pitch that has seen many centuries, the crowds managed to entertain themselves posing for selfies with the fake Sheeran. England Cricket, official ECB handle tweeted, 'Always pleasure to have @EdSheetan with us at cricket', as the figure with no tattoos (the biggest giveaway of unauthenticity), dressed in fuschia pink with glares, posed with mostly Indian ethnicity fans. Always a pleasure to have @EdSheeran with us at the cricket 😅 — England Cricket (@englandcricket) July 27, 2025 The Castle on the Hill, I don't care and Shape of You songmaker is a cricket fan but was performing right that moment with Norwegian star Sigrid in Oslo and his doppelganger did not have tattoos Most in the crowd knew that the redheaded TY Jones, a bonafide doppelganger, is not Ed Sheeran. But selfies don't sing, so even with his hair not messy and the individual not being the Shape of Him, fans happily amused themselves posing with the gallivanting lookalike who was Thinking Out Loud. A celebrity lookalike agency rents out artists, and Jones is one such. He even sported a accreditation. In April, the lookalike turned up at a nightclub but didn't know words to all Sheeran songs, and spent the evening avoiding the real Justin Bieber so as not to be caught. More recently an Arijit Singh lookalike created a parody video of his collaboration with Sheeran, as reported by Express. Sheeran earlier in the year had a Bhangra Collab on the Kapil Sharma show, and the Indian drum beats have reverberated, be it with Wonderwall or a Sheeran single. There was also a Fernando Alonso flukealike immersed in watching the match, who was not aware of his likeness with the F1 driver.
