Marks and Spencer launch Marmite pizza and it's 'already set to overtake classic Margherita'
The new 'love-it-or-hate-it' pizza is set to top the charts as shoppers switch from marg to marm. It's the thick, dark, savoury spread that has long divided the nation, but now a top UK supermarket is hoping to unite people's taste buds by making it the base of a brand new pizza "set to overtake the classic Margherita". As the saying goes, you'll either love it or hate it, but Marks and Spencer has launched 3 Cheese & Marmite pizza that is already on track to overtake classic Margherita in less than one week, according to M&S Food sales. Marmite lovers rejoice, because in less than a week since it landed on shelves, the retailer's new must-have 3 Cheese & Marmite pizza, which costs £6, has instantly become one of their best-sellers. In fact, daily sales per store are set to overtake those of the beloved classic Margherita. The iconic cheesy-savoury collaboration has also been a viral hit on social media, with posts about the pizza already racking up over 10,000 likes, comments and shares from fans on the M&S Instagram and Facebook accounts. Rave reviews from shoppers were aplenty. Another gushed: "You have outdone yourself with the pizza!" Meanwhile, a third stated: "BEST PIZZA EVER – FACT". Sarah-Jane Large, Lead Product Developer for Meals at M&S Food, said: "Whether you love it or hate it, Marmite is undeniably the most iconic British savoury spread and one we know our customers love in combination with creamy, cheesy dishes. "Perfecting these savoury sensations required a great deal of time and expertise to get the balance of flavours just right, and we tasted hundreds of different versions to find the exact right percentage of Marmite in every bite." Hand‑stretched and stone‑baked, the new Marmite pizza is layered with lashings of creamy Marmite béchamel, melting mozzarella, sharp cheddar and nutty Red Leicester. It's also vegetarian, making it a great alternative to your usual Margherita or veggie pizza of choice. Marks uses specialty '00' flour for its bases and allows the dough to slow‑ferment for 24 hours, creating an authentic crust that's perfectly crisp on the outside and satisfyingly chewy within. And better yet, this new launch is available as part of the supermarket's popular Pizza Night Dine In deal where you can pick up two pizzas and two sides for just £12. "Over the past five years our teams have worked together to create some brilliantly imaginative launches to satisfy shoppers' savoury cravings, combining that high quality and innovation that M&S Food is known for with the popularity of Marmite – after all, these are two of the nation's best-loved brands," Sarah-Jane went on. "We can't wait to see what people think of our first sweet Marmite collaborations when they launch later this summer." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

Love Island's Tasha Ghouri celebrates new man's milestone birthday after Andrew Le Page split
Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri shared a sweet message with her new man as he celebrated turning 30 days after the duo made their new relationship public Love is back in the air for Tasha Ghouri following her break up from former Love Island flame Andrew Le Page. And she has sent her new man a sweet compliment as he celebrates turning 30 years old. The Strictly runner-up, 26, took to social media to share a gushing post in his honour. She had recently gone public with her relationship with YouTuber Cam Whitnall. Now, the big cat lover shared an image of himself smiling behind two big balloons showing his age. He wrote on the post for his milestone birthday: "Life at 30. Still wild. Just slightly more endangered. Thank you so much for all the lovely birthday messages everyone! Grateful for the people, places and wild moments that have shaped the last three decades. "Here's to the next 30 years… for conservation, rescue and for giving wildlife the future it deserves." Tasha sweetly responded in the comments section, referencing his love of animals and work as the managing director of The Big Cat Sanctuary. She wrote: "Happy bday dr dolittle!" And Tasha was far from the only one sending sweet birthday wished. Strictly's Karen Hauer and broadcaster Kate Lawler also sent well wishes on his post. The birthday update comes days after Tasha and Cam were spotted looking very close over the weekend. The duo were seen also holding hands on a sweet day out at Fearne Cotton's Happy Place festival at Gunnersbury Park. Tasha was wearing a short white dress with black cowgirl boots, complete with tassels. Cam donned an all back look for the occasion, while also sporting white Nike trainers. There was no hiding their connection as they walked hand in hand and wrapped their arms around each other. Previous reports say the reality TV star fell for Cam due to his drive and ambition in his career. It's thought the duo have been dating for a little over a month. Speaking to the Sun after their appearance, a source said: "She met him after moving close to where he lives and they connected on social media. They were all over each other at the Happy Place Festival where Tasha was giving a talk." They added: "Cam was in the audience and was grinning at her as she spoke with Fearne. It's clear there's a real spark between them." In recent weeks, both Andrew and Tasha have revealed their hope to "move on" from their relationship woes. In recent social media posts, the pair both expressed their wishes. In separate statements shared on their Instagram stories at the weekend, the exes also cooled any rumours of a feud.
