If you're looking at this PlayStation-exclusive arena-based vehicular combat game and wondering why the title above doesn't have the words 'Twisted' and 'Metal' in there, then you've got a good eye. After a messy contract dispute with Sony, Twisted Metal developer Singletrac left to create this spiritual sequel. And the spirit in question appears to have been an unlicensed blend of moonshine, gunpowder and gasoline.
Set in a post-apocalyptic 2012, Rogue Trip turned a series of US locations into warzones as you tore around the place unloading a barrage of explosives at your opponents. Predictably, it played a lot like Twisted Metal, only with tighter, less drifty handling which made it easier to draw a bead on a rival car.

As you'd expect, there was a colourful collection of heavily armed vehicles to choose from. The loose connective tissue was a satire of Americana, whether that's a Sunday school bus driven by a scantily clad nun, an alligator wrestler in a modified airboat or a 1967 Chevrolet Bel Air piloted by an overweight Elvis impersonator.
The pièce de résistance was a hotdog themed Weinermobile-inspired car called Meat Wagon, driven by a character called Dick Biggs, whose special ability was smashing opponents flat with a gigantic fibreglass sausage. Had he not died some 59 years before the release of this game, Freud would have had an absolute field day.
And if you're still wondering about the slightly confusing vacation theming, it's because the Rogue Trip added a unique wrinkle to the gameplay to keep you occupied. In every map there was a tourist who, once collected in your vehicle, could be ferried between photo opportunities to earn you extra cash, but made you the prime target. This is less Crazy Taxi and more Certifiably Insane Taxi.

To mark Moses' birthday this past April, the proud mom used her social media platform to pay tribute. She shared three FaceTime screenshots of her son with her nine million Instagram followers, and added a heartfelt caption. 'Happy birthday @mosesmartin ❤️,' she began, 'Honestly, you are a dream come true. You are deeply kind and brilliant. You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented.' Gwyneth added, 'I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college. And today more than ever. I love you my boy. ❤️mama.' I'm a Disney adult... but I have found an alternate theme park that's CHEAPER and less crowded
A self-proclaimed Disney adult has admitted that has has found a new favorite theme park - and it has got nothing to do with Mickey Mouse. Frank Olito, a longtime fan of Disney World, recently revealed that he was blown away by his experience at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. He told Business Insider that the park, founded by country music icon Dolly Parton, boasted more affordable ticket prices, fewer crowds and great rides. Starting with the cheaper prices, he explained that he usually spends a whopping $150 or more for a single ticket to Disney World. But, while planning for his Tennessee excursion, the adventurer only paid $99 for admission to both Dollywood and Splash Country - which is adjacent to the main theme park - saving more than $50 right off the bat. Frank then said that once he arrived, he was shocked by how the park's grand entrance 'rivaled' that of Disney World. 'It was my first indication that Dollywood could stand against Disney World,' he wrote. His excitement only continued as he made his way through the 160-acre attraction as he gushed about all the features that set it apart from his former favorite hotspot - including a museum dedicated to the country star's life. 'This wasn't an amusement park set around an IP of movies and TV shows. It was a place to celebrate Dolly Parton's life,' he reflected. Instead of a slew of different characters, the entire park focused 'solely on Dolly Parton.' 'This helped the park feel cohesive and completely immersive in a way Disney does not,' Frank told the outlet. 'From the moment you enter the park, you explore different parts of Dolly's life. 'I entered replicas of her childhood home and schoolhouse. The whole park is a celebration of her hometown: the Smoky Mountain region.' Frank revealed that since he is not a fan of rollercoasters, he was happy to see Dollywood offered calmer rides similar to those at Disney World. He also said there were 'plenty of shows to keep me busy throughout the day.' But how did the food at Dollywood measure up? Frank candidly explained that although he missed Disney's iconic frozen treat, Dole Whip, 'Dollywood arguably had something better: cinnamon bread.' 'The fluffy dough was the perfect treat in the middle of the day. Though it wasn't as refreshing as Dole Whip, it was as delicious,' he shared. The theme park expert also reflected on how busy and 'unimaginable' the crowds can be at Disney in the summer. But was pleasantly surprised to see that Dollywood was the 'opposite.' 'Even though it was July, the park was not packed, so I felt more relaxed. It was easy to move around. Lines for rides were manageable, too. None of them exceeded 45 minutes,' he shared. He did offer one criticism of Dollywood though - and that was the lack of nighttime activities, such as the fireworks show and illuminated castle in Magic Kingdom. 'At night, Dollywood seemed to lack any energy. The park emptied out entirely. While the rides were still open, all of the restaurants and concession stands closed,' Frank revealed. 'There was a fireworks show at night, which also included a drone show, but we didn't stick around because the park just didn't seem lively enough.' Despite this, Frank concluded that he was 'pleasantly surprised at every turn.' 'Since I saved money and felt more relaxed at Dollywood, I might think twice before booking my Disney trip next time,' he concluded.

Kaia Gerber excitedly took a bow during curtain call of the play reading for White Girls Gang during the Williamstown Theater Festival in Williamstown, MA on Tuesday night. The project combined two of the 23-year-old DNA Model's passions - acting and book clubs - as she's co-founder of the Library Science book club. '[White Girls Gang] is a satire about a book club gone incredibly wrong,' playwright Rianna Simons explained to the Royal Gazette in 2023. 'It's about this group of White women. They're in a book club and they're trying to understand Audre Lorde and in so doing, end up revealing all of this stuff from their past that they use to destroy each other and themselves.' At one point, Kaia intimately touched the shoulder of director Gus Heagerty and leaned her head towards his while posing with the cast onstage The Clark Art Institute's Auditorium. On Monday, Gerber and the 36-year-old maestro were seen strolling side by side while carrying similar totes after rehearsal for the $20/ticket production. The Overcompensating actress was also seen hanging outside the venue with co-star Lily McInerny, playwright Rianna as well as co-stars Omari K. Chancellor and Gus Birney. Kaia - who relies on professional stylist Siena Montesano Gones - was dressed down in a baggy red T-shirt, navy-blue shorts, and black ballet flats for the 29-hour rehearsal process. Susan Sarandon and Kate Walsh are set to star in a play reading for Worms, which will be held at the MainStage Theater in Williamstown this Thursday at 1:30pm.
