Man dies after being found seriously injured on Gourock street as cops launch probe
A man has died after being found seriously injured on a street in Gourock.
Emergency services raced to the incident on the Inverclyde town's Shore Street after receiving reports of an injured male at 3.45am on Sunday, July 13.
Crews attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers from Police Scotland say his death is currently being treated as unexplained. Inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
Images from the scene on Sunday afternoon showed a significant police presence in the residential area. A team of forensic officers were spotted scouring the area behind a large cordon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.45am on Sunday, 13 July, 2025, we received a report of a man injured in Shore Street, Gourock.
"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
