Erdogan warns: Iran-Israel war risks mass migration to Europe
In a phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Erdogan condemned Israel's strikes on Iranian territory, arguing they have sharply intensified regional instability, according to the Turkish Presidency.
He also warned of the growing risk of nuclear fallout and urged that disputes over Iran's nuclear program be resolved through diplomacy.

Russian attack kills displaced Ukrainian family, officials say
Odesa – A Russian overnight attack on the border region of Kharkiv killed three members of a Ukrainian family who had earlier fled their homes to escape Russian advances, authorities announced Thursday. Moscow has stepped up its drone and missile attacks on Ukraine more than three years into Russia's invasion, even as the warring parties meet for face-to-face ceasefire talks. 'The bodies of three people were found under the rubble of the house. A family was killed: a 57-year-old woman, her 58-year-old husband and their 36-year-old son,' regional officials announced. They added the family killed in the village of Pidlyman had fled the settlement of Boguslavka which was captured by Russian forces when they invaded in early 2022, but was later retaken by Ukrainian forces. A strike later on Kharkiv city wounded 33 people, including a 10-year-old girl, a 17-year-old boy and girl, the governor said. A separate Russian drone and missile barrage wounded seven people including a child in the central Ukrainian region of Cherkasy, emergency services said. And in the southern port city of Odesa, a Russian drone attack wounded four people and badly damaged a market. Ukraine's prime minister said some of the buildings targeted were UNESCO protected. 'Russia continues its terror and obstructs diplomacy, which is why it deserves full-scale sanctions responses, as well as our strikes on their logistics, their military bases, and their military production facilities,' President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media in response. He said Russia had launched 103 drones — mainly the Iranian designed Shahed type of unmanned aerial vehicle — and four missiles. In Russia, a Ukrainian drone strike left two women dead and several others wounded in Sochi in Russia's south, regional authorities said. The Russian defence ministry said its air defence systems had downed 39 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles mainly over southern regions of the country.

Israel kills displaced journalist in central Gaza
Shafaq News – Gaza An Israeli airstrike on central Gaza killed journalist Adam Abu Harbid on Thursday, after a missile struck the tent where his displaced family had been sheltering in the Yarmouk area of Gaza City. According to Palestinian media outlets, Abu Harbid's children were injured in the same strike, with varying degrees of wounds. The killing comes amid ongoing Israeli strikes that have repeatedly targeted media workers. Just a day earlier, Israeli forces reportedly killed pregnant journalist Walaa al-Jaabari, her husband Amjad al-Shaer, and their five children in a strike described as so powerful it expelled the unborn child from her womb. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate reported that 35 journalists were killed in Gaza between January and the end of June 2025 alone. Israel, Syria reach US-brokered de-escalation agreement for Southern Syria

Local security committees composed of residents will be created, but must operate without heavy arms. 7-Restriction on Syrian Government Presence Syrian government institutions and affiliated organizations will be barred from operating in Suwayda. Only United Nations agencies will be allowed access. Earlier, Axios reported that Senior Israeli and Syrian officials met in Paris on Thursday for a rare four-hour dialogue aimed at easing tensions, in a meeting brokered by US President Donald Trump's special envoy Tom Barrack. The meeting is the highest-level official contact between the two countries in over two decades. According to Israeli officials cited by Axios, the talks sought to establish security understandings in southern Syria to preserve the fragile ceasefire and prevent a repeat of last week's flare-up. Israel was represented by Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, a close aide to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while Syria's delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Assad al-Shaibani.
