Kerry Katona sparks huge debate with very bold take on Coldplay kiss cam scandal

Daily Mirror3 days ago
Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has shared her thoughts on the positives of infidelity in a marriage following CEO Andy Byron's antics at Coldplay's concert in Boston
Kerry Katona has shared her unpopular opinion on infidelity after Tech tycoon Andy Byron and his Astronomer colleague Kristin Cabot went viral at a Coldplay concert last week.

The now viral clip in question showed CEO Byron and HR staffer Cabot appear on a 'kiss cam' during the band's show in Boston last week. The pair had been in an embrace, but once they realised they were on the big screen, they leapt out of each other's arms, seemingly in a panic.

Cabot covered her face with her hands as Byron crouched down to stop his face being in view. He also appeared to say 'f****** hell, it's me."

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had some theories, and speaking into the microphone, he quipped: 'Oh, what… either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."
Following the incident, a statement claiming to be from Byron hit out at Coldplay for showing the moment. But his company has since revealed the statement was fake.

The CEO has since resigned after he was caught appearing to canoodle with his Head of HR at the Coldplay concert in the US, the company confirmed over the weekend. The tech firm said its boss had tendered his resignation, and the board of directors had accepted it.
Following the controversy, Kerry, 44, has shared her own unique perspective on infidelity. Speaking of the CEO's alleged affair with his employee, Kerry said: "I can't believe Chris Martin caught a couple looking cosy at one of Coldplay's concerts in Boston and they ended up on a big screen in front of millions of fans. Then the video went viral. There were rumours of an affair."
Kerry then lifted the lid on the affair she had while married to her ex husband Mark Croft, admitting that it was the 'best thing' she ever did. The mum-of-five even went as far as to say that the affair 'saved' her life.

"Yes, I had an affair myself once, while I was married to my second husband, Mark Croft, and it was the best thing I ever did. I'd say it probably saved my life," Kerry confessed when comparing her affair to Andy Byron's alleged infidelity with his employee.
Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry split from Mark in 2011 after less than four years of marriage. Kerry cheated on him with ex Royal Marine Kevin Greent after they met at the GI Jane Bootcamp, but she has said the affair was "the best thing I ever did".

Speaking candidly about her affair with Greent, Kerry previously said: "We were both married we both fell madly in love with each other he did leave his wife for a little bit but for me that just... It saved my life."
Kerry and Mark, who have children Heidi and Max together, had a turbulent relationship, and Kerry previously blamed him for contributing to her drug use and accused him of stealing her money.

Kerry was also previously married to Westlife singer Brian McFadden from 2002 to 2006, Mark from 2007 to 2011 and the late George Kay from 2014 to 2017.
Reflecting on her love life and failed marriages, Kerry previously told GB News: "I have loved and I've often ended up marrying them, bearing in mind I was only 18 when I met Brian and we were together for seven years when Brian left me.
"With Mark I thought 'oh my god my kids are from a broken home' and I was trying to fulfil my dream as a broken child, and not so much what they needed but not realising that I was enough for my kids and I thought I need to get married and Mark asked me to marry him and I said yes."I thought that will fix everything, that will fix the problem. I thought I'll get married, I'll have some more kids and I'll try and fix what's been broken, and that's a pattern that I continued to do. I did it with my third husband too, and I had another amazing child as well."

Female executive caught on Coldplay cam resigns after embrace went viral

The female executive who was caught on camera embracing the chief executive of her company at a Coldplay concert, in a moment that went viral, has resigned. The company, Astronomer, confirmed that its executive in charge of human resources has left. 'Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she has resigned,' spokesman Taylor Jones said in a brief statement. Her departure follows the resignation of chief executive Andy Byron, who quit after the company said he was being put on leave pending an investigation. The episode resulted in endless memes, parody videos and screenshots of their shocked faces filling social media feeds Cabot and Byron were caught by surprise when singer Chris Martin asked the cameras to scan the crowd for his 'Jumbotron Song' during the concert last week at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. They were shown cuddling and smiling, but when they saw themselves on the big screen, Cabot's jaw dropped, her hands flew to her face and she spun away from the camera while Byron ducked out of the frame. 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy,' Martin joked in video that spread quickly around the internet. When the video first spread online it was not clear who they were, but online sleuths rapidly figured out their identities. The company has previously confirmed the identities of the couple in a statement to the AP. Both of their profiles have been removed from Astronomer's website and a November press release announcing her hiring has also been deleted. Astronomer was a previously obscure tech company based in New York. It provides big companies with a platform that helps them organise their data. Online streams of Coldplay's songs jumped 20% in the days after the video went viral, according to Luminate, an industry data and analytics company.
