Owagik launches new visual identity
In this context, Eng. Mohamed Emad Kassem, CEO of Owagik, stated: 'The launch of the new visual identity is not merely a cosmetic change, but a strategic move aimed at expanding our business scope and delivering integrated, innovative real estate projects that meet the aspirations of the Egyptian market and keep pace with its evolution.'
He added that this relaunch coincides with the announcement of a fully administrative tower featuring 12,000 square meters of saleable space, as part of a new phase of administrative units within the Owagik Towers project — one of the most prominent mixed-use developments in the heart of Downtown, New Administrative Capital. The project spans 8,000 square meters.
Eng. Mohamed Emad confirmed that the investment volume of the new phase of the administrative tower amounts to approximately EGP 2.5 billion. The project consists of three towers, each rising to G+15 floors, in addition to four underground levels covering the entire plot area. It enjoys a strategic location on two main streets, near key landmarks such as Central Park, the Tourist Towers, Egypt Mosque, Al-Massa Hotel, the Gold Market, and the Monorail Station. The project also includes the largest open plaza in the area, covering 5,300 square meters.
Kassem revealed that the new phase includes operational administrative units starting from 50 square meters, with prices starting at EGP 66,000 per square meter (after discounts for installment plans up to 7 years), along with flexible payment options extending up to 10 years and discounts reaching up to 50%. This offers real opportunities for investors and companies to combine prime location with financial flexibility and credibility.
He noted that construction progress on the project has surpassed 50%, affirming the company's commitment to timelines and execution quality, leveraging the extensive experience of its parent company, Global Integrated Contracting, which boasts over 20 years of expertise and a proven track record of more than 15 integrated urban projects with a total business volume exceeding EGP 7 billion.
Eng. Mohamed Emad Kassem concluded his remarks by emphasizing: 'Owagik holds a distinguished land portfolio in several key cities, and we are working on developing diverse projects with an innovative vision in the coming period. Our goal is to meet the demands of the evolving Egyptian market and strengthen our role as a trusted real estate developer and active contributor to shaping a sustainable urban future.'

UAE: India's Titan to open 75 Tanishq, Damas stores across GCC, create 675 jobs
Titan Company, the parent firm of renowned jewellery brand Tanishq and the new majority stakeholder in Dubai-based luxury retailer Damas, plans to open up to 75 additional outlets across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) over the next five years. This expansion is expected to generate approximately 675 new jobs in the region. Currently, Titan owns and operates over 100 Damas outlets and 15 Tanishq stores throughout the GCC. 'We foresee opening 40-50 more Damas stores over the next five years, with significant focus on Saudi Arabia, which is underrepresented,' said CK Venkataraman, managing director of Titan Company. "For Tanishq, we have 15 stores in the GCC and plan to scale up to 40. Until now, our focus has primarily been on the UAE, so there's a limited presence outside the Emirates. Our next targets are Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia." Venkataraman emphasised the importance of understanding the unique staffing requirements in Saudi Arabia, where only nationals can be employed in retail roles. 'With Damas' local expertise, we'll be better positioned to recruit skilled staff familiar with the jewellery sector,' he noted. 'Saudi Arabia is an exciting market. Cities like Jeddah have a strong Arab consumer base, while places like Dammam are more Indian-oriented – allowing room for both Tanishq and Damas to grow.' Job creation by Titan This announcement marks Titan's first media briefing in the UAE since acquiring a 67 per cent stake in the century-old Damas brand from Mannai Corporation for Dh1 billion on July 21. The Indian conglomerate, Tata Group, owns Titan. The acquisition is expected to be finalised by January 31, 2026. Titan will also have the option to purchase the remaining 33 per cent stake after December 31, 2029. Damas currently employs just over 1,000 people. In contrast, Tanishq operates on a franchise model. 'If we open 25 new Tanishq outlets, and each employs around 15 people, that would result in about 375 jobs. Damas stores, which operate on a smaller format with 5–6 employees each, could add another 300 jobs if we open 50 more locations,' he said. This brings the total estimated job creation across both brands to 675 positions over five years. Venkataraman also confirmed that no job cuts are planned at Damas following the merger. 'We're here to grow the business. This is not a distressed acquisition. Layoffs are not part of the strategy,' he stated, adding that Damas will continue operating under its existing brand identity. 'With Titan's support, we gain access to global retail expertise and a forward-looking vision,' said Alekh Grewal, Group CEO of Mannai Corporation. 'This partnership allows us to invest in our people, innovate our offerings, and enhance customer experience across the board.'

Dubai's Al Mal Capital REIT raises AED 210mn in oversubscribed public offering
Al Mal Capital REIT, the first real estate investment trust listed on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), has successfully raised AED 210 million through a follow-on public offering (FPO), the company announced on Tuesday. The offering drew strong demand from both existing and new investors, highlighting a growing appetite for regulated income-generating real estate vehicles in the UAE and broader Gulf region. Units were priced at AED 1.125 per unit, inclusive of a subscription fee, with trading of the newly issued units expected to begin on the DFM between August 8 and 15, subject to final regulatory approvals. 'This successful raise demonstrates the trust investors continue to place in our vision and portfolio,' said Naser Al Nabulsi, Vice Chairman and CEO of Al Mal Capital. 'The capital infusion will enable us to further expand our holdings, continue our growth trajectory and deliver attractive returns to our unitholders.' The REIT, regulated by the UAE's Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), focuses on income-generating real estate assets in resilient sectors including healthcare, education, and industrials. Since 2023, it has maintained a steady 7 per cent annual dividend distribution, attracting investors seeking stable, long-term returns. According to Al Mal Capital, proceeds from the offering will be deployed to acquire additional high-quality assets across the UAE and wider GCC, in line with the fund's strategy of sector and geographic diversification. Priority allocation in the FPO was given to existing unitholders to preserve ownership, while a secondary tranche was opened to new subscribers. Al Mal Capital REIT remains subject to UAE investment regulations, including a 25 per cent cap on assets held outside the UAE. The transaction comes amid a broader uptick in investor interest in REITs across the region, as real estate investment trusts continue to gain traction as an accessible and transparent vehicle for real estate exposure.
