In a tragic turn of events, Shefali Jariwala, best remembered for the iconic Kaanta Laga song and show Bigg Boss 13, passed away on Friday. According to reports, the actress-model died after suffering cardiac arrest at the age of 42. Her sudden demise has left a deep void in the Indian entertainment industry.
Shefali became an overnight sensation during the early 2000s after she starred in one of the biggest remix songs of the year Kaanta Laga . With her confident persona and bold appearance, she quickly bagged the title of 'The Kaanta Laga Girl.' Following that, she signed her first film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. Although she had a limited role, but that became an extent of her Bollywood film career.
In 2011, she starred in one more film- a 2011 Kannada release called Hudaguru . She even participated in two seasons of Nach Baliye as well as Boogie Woogie between 2008 and 2016. Shefali later made a striking appearance in Bigg Boss 13, and grabbed headlines for reuniting with her former partner and late actor Sidharth Shukla.

She was initially taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, where doctors confirmed that the actress had passed away before reaching the facility. Later, her mortal remains were sent to the Cooper Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Actress Karishma Tanna also took to the Stories section of her Instagram to express grief over Shefali Jariwala's tragic death. 'Heavy heart. This is unbelievable!! Gone too soon'. Celebrity chef Kunal Kapur also took to his Instagram as he paid tribute to Shefali Jariwala. He shared a picture of the actress and wrote, 'Life is so fragile. Just forgive and forget. Hug those who you love and spend time being happy with the ones you care for. Shocked & saddened over this horrible news of Shefali passing away'.
