It's renowned for showcasing some of the most luxurious homes across Britain, including one penthouse in London with a hefty price tag of £80m. And now a stunning Welsh mansion has featured on Britain's Most Expensive Houses.

And among the latest properties showcased on the programme is a beautiful Welsh mansion that's being marketed by the estate agent who previously sold Charlotte Church's home.

Nestled in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, one of Wales' most coveted counties, Fine & Country agent Sorcha Rodbard-Hedderwick has partnered with fellow agent Jemma Friday to market the stunning £2.2 million Llywynhelig House.
This 17th-century Grade II listed manor with five reception rooms and six bedrooms features a log cabin, a shepherd's hut, and a swimming pool, but it's the meticulously landscaped garden that Jemma believes could be the key to securing a sale.

After successfully showcasing the garden to sell Charlotte Church's property, Jemma is eager to work her magic once more.
To enhance the property's appeal, she has enlisted the expertise of local horticulturist Bob Priddle, who will join Sorcha, Jemma, and her social media followers to share his insights—drawing even more attention to this extraordinary home.

During the show, the estate agent said of the home: "It's one of those properties people driove past and go 'wow, who lives there?'" It was revealed that the seller had retired to the property but was now downsizing after her husband had passed away shortly after they'd completed the renovations on their forever home.

During the same episode of the show, viewers were also transported to Jersey where the combined fortune of the island's three wealthiest residents totals £10 billion and Fine and Country agent Margaret Thompson was showcasing the £17 million Sunningdale Manor.
Following a lavish multi-million-pound renovation, this stunning country estate now features five grand reception rooms, eight luxurious bedrooms, a wine cellar with an exclusive tasting area, a labyrinth-inspired topiary garden, and a flourishing kitchen garden.
But Margaret's agency wasn't the only one vying to market Sunningdale. To stay one step ahead of the competition, she and her trusted agent Rebecca planned an exclusive soirée to give select guests an insider's tour. With a private chef preparing dishes made from the estate's garden and well-connected guests providing valuable feedback, the evening promised to be a memorable one. But could they outshine the competition?

And international buying agent Constance Cunningham was back in her Chelsea stomping ground, tasked with finding the ideal apartment for Argentian lawyer Ramiro and his family to add to their International portfolio of properties.
Constance presented him with three exceptional options - ranging from £3.15 million to £5.15 million - but only one was in their preferred Chelsea location. The contenders? Cadogan Gardens, Hyde Park Gardens, and Queens Gate. But would Constance seal the deal and secure a sale?

Thousands of visitors flock to this year's Royal Welsh Show

This year's Royal Welsh Show welcomed thousands of visitors as the most popular agricultural show in the UK kicked off. The show was officially opened with a ceremony that celebrated the richness of Welsh culture, the strength of rural communities, and the enduring importance of the agricultural industry in Wales. Chair of Council, Mrs Nicola Davies FRAgS, welcomed members and dignitaries to the event, reflecting on the pivotal role of the Society in championing Welsh agriculture and rural life. 'The Show is a very important platform to promote the very best of the agricultural industry that we all hold so very dear,' she said. 'It underlines its importance, not only economically, but socially and culturally too.' Mrs Davies paid warm tribute to the 2025 Feature County, Caernarfonshire, and thanked its fundraising committees for their outstanding work in raising awareness and vital funds to support capital developments at the showground. Mr John R Owen, the Society's President for 2025, then addressed the audience, expressing his pride and honour in representing Caernarfonshire as Feature County. 'I have no doubt that the founders of the Society are looking down in much admiration of today's standards and achievements,' he said. A special highlight of the day was the visit of HRH The Princess Royal, who was attending in her capacity as President of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth (RACS). Her Royal Highness attended the AGM of the RASC and then toured the showground, engaging with exhibitors and visitors, and seeing the many new additions to the show since her last visit in 2022. During the afternoon's Awards Ceremony, Dylan Jones, Castellior, Menai Bridge, Anglesey was announced as the winner of the prestigious Sir Bryner Jones Memorial Award, which featured the beef industry for the first time in 30 years. The were changes to this year's show with the introduction of a new Heavy Horse Village — a dedicated area celebrating the legacy and ongoing role of working horses in Welsh agriculture. The village featured interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and opportunities for visitors to meet these gentle giants and their handlers, along with new turn-out competition classes. The opening day's main ring programme was headlined by the Ukrainian Cossacks, whose dazzling displays of traditional horsemanship and acrobatics captivated showgoers. Other main ring attractions included the Bolddog FMX display team, the Tristar Carriage and the RAF Falcons Parachute display team.

Trust issues ground Scots' confidence in airport technology

Scottish air passengers are the most cautious in the UK when it comes to airport technology, showing strong preferences for printed boarding passes and hesitancy around new technology like AI and biometrics, according to IT services firm Getronics. The findings come from Getronics' 2025 Travel Trust Barometer, a UK wide survey that asked 2,000 people about their attitudes toward data security and technology in travel. The research found that Scots are more likely to favour physical boarding passes than people elsewhere in the UK, with 35% of Scottish passengers preferring printed passes compared to just 28% across the rest of the country. Another 23% of Scots said they use both physical and digital passes, highlighting a cautious, belt-and-braces approach to technology. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The survey also shows only 52% of Scots say they feel in control of their personal data when travelling which is the lowest level of confidence anywhere in the UK. Data security in airports The same proportion of Scots (52%) trust airports to keep their information safe, and a majority (61%) believe airports collect more personal information than necessary. Andrew Madigan, client director at Getronics, said the findings highlight a need to build greater public confidence in both airport technology and how personal data is handled. He said: 'Technology is becoming an increasingly central part of the airport experience, and that trend is only set to continue as the industry evolves. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'New technology can be a daunting prospect for all kinds of reasons. Reliability and safety are two key issues, which means airports are having to work hard to keep passengers informed and educated about how planned changes are going to make the air travel experience safer, more convenient and more enjoyable.' Andrew Madigan, client director at Getronics Getronics specialises in building resilient, industry-leading IT security systems that protect mission-critical operations, working with a range of Scottish and UK airports. Andrew added: 'We're seeing growing need to modernise whilst defend against a persistent increase in hacking attempts across the sector. 'Airports need to build that trust, particularly in Scotland, and building a strong digital infrastructure has to sit at the heart of this. 'Technology will continue to evolve, but airports must ensure that protecting personal data evolves with it.'

Sustainable souvenir scheme tackles single-use cup waste Sign up to our daily newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! Fringe-goers picking up a drink at one of the capital's busiest venues are being asked to make a small change with a big impact - as part of a bold new drive to reduce waste and support charitable causes. In a new initiative Surgeons Quarter, the commercial arm of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, has introduced a £2 reusable cup policy, replacing throwaway plastic with souvenir-style cups that support good causes. Customers pay a one-time £2 charge for a reusable cup, which is theirs to keep. When returning for another drink, they'll receive a fresh, clean replacement cup at no extra cost. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Surgeons Quarter has a longstanding reputation for leading with innovation through environmental initiatives and investing heavily in the wellbeing of its staff. Scott Mitchell, Managing Director at Surgeon's showcases new sustainable cups Ten Hill Place Hotel, part of the Surgeons Quarter portfolio, was first awarded a Green Tourism Gold Award in 2008 and has proudly retained this accolade for 17 consecutive years. One of the hotel's many sustainable efforts has been the removal of single-use plastic bottles from guest bedrooms. It's a change which has saved over 100,000 bottles to date. In their place, guests are gifted Scottish wildflower seed packets to take home, encouraging biodiversity in their own gardens and extending memories of their stay at the hotel. Other green initiatives have included a £20,000 investment for installation of EV charging stations at the hotel, as well as a £60,000 investment in new staff members uniforms made from Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad recycled plastic bottles with each uniform preventing 45 bottles from reaching landfills or oceans. Scott Mitchell, Managing Director at Surgeon's showcases new sustainable cups But sustainability is only part of the picture. Surgeons Quarter also goes above and beyond for its team. Recognised by the Living Wage Foundation (LWF), it ensures all staff, regardless of age, are paid above the LWF Living Wage. In addition, all employees contribute at least 12% of their salary toward their pension, with 7.5% of that contributed by the employer, more than double the required minimum. Surgeons Quarters Managing Director Scott Mitchell said: 'We're always looking at how we can help improve the planet, improve the guest experience and also improve the working environment for our team. That's why we continually invest in initiatives prioritising long-term sustainability and staff wellbeing. We believe these aspects go hand in hand.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The reusable cup policy reflects this commitment. Surgeons Quarter invested over £20,000 in the upfront cost of the cups, making the £2 charge fair and necessary, so it can continue running operations that pay staff fairly, reduce environmental impact and maintain the support for its local charity partners. New sustainable cups introduced by Surgeons Quarter for the Edinburgh Fringe Scott Added: 'This step is a part of a wider commitment to doing what's right, even when it costs more. That's why we're asking the public to support the reusable cup change as it helps us improve standards across the board.' Some of the reusable and dishwasher safe cups feature the striking silhouette of the iconic Playfair Hall, while others are branded with the logos of theSpaceUK, which hosts the largest and most diverse programme at the Festival Fringe, and Surgeons Quarter itself. The variety of designs provides visitors with eye-catching tangible reminders of their Festival experience as well as supporting the drive to reduce single-use waste. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Scott Mitchell said: " After testing the concept in 2024, we've streamlined the system and are excited to launch the full initiative. We're trying to shift the mindset. Rather than something disposable, we want people to see these as souvenirs that do good. 'We know some will be resistant to change but when it's a minimal cost for an item that supports local and global causes, we hope people will get on board.'' A portion of proceeds from cup sales will support three key causes: carbon offsetting initiatives through Ecologi; a special Supper Soirée hosted by Surgeons Quarter in support of Cyrenians, the homelessness charity tackling isolation and homelessness; and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh's global efforts to improve patient outcomes around the world. Under the new guidelines, festivalgoers are welcome to bring their own clean reusable cups for wine, spirits, bottled beer and soft drinks only — provided the cup is visibly clean. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad However, if the cup is not SQ-branded, it is your responsibility to ensure it is hygienic, as staff are unable to wash or handle personal cups. Single-use plastic cups, including supermarket-style cups, will not be accepted. Scott added: 'This isn't about jumping on a trend. It's a long-term commitment to reducing our footprint and boosting our social impact. 'A single-use plastic cup has an impact of 0.07kg CO2e, and a reusable equivalent has an impact of 0.0084kg CO2e per use. Every cup that isn't thrown away is a small win for the environment and every cup that helps someone in need makes that win even sweeter.' Surgeons Quarter promotes, sells, and manages all commercial activities held within the RCSEd campus. These include facilities for conferences, meetings, private events, parties, and weddings, as well as its own four-star hotel, Ten Hill Place, Café 1505, and SQ Travel.
