Watch - Road rage on Ireland's busiest motorway: 'He was like a madman'

This is the shock moment a Rambo-style driver launches a road rage attack on two motorists on Ireland's busiest road. Footage obtained by the Irish Mirror shows the driver in an incident with one female motorist – and then stopping his car and get out to confront a male driver who slowed down to see what was happening. 'His eyes were on fire,' victim Behçet Fikret Çavuşoğlu told us. The terrifying incident happened on the M50 on Dublin on Sunday evening – and was caught on the dashcam of a car driven by Mr Çavuşoğlu. Mr Çavuşoğlu has now reported the incident to gardai – and the force has confirmed to us that is now investigating The incident started at around 5pm on Sunday as Mr Çavuşoğlu was driving onto the northbound bore of the M50 at Sandyford in south Dublin. He was stopped at lights at a dual carriageway behind a car driven by a woman – and one with a man wearing a Rambo-style bandana behind the wheel. Footage from Mr Çavuşoğlu's dashcam shows the male motorist drive off first from the lights, but the woman then comes alongside as they approach the roundabout leading onto the M50. The man then cuts in front of the woman as they both come on to the ramp for the M50. Witness Behchet Cavusoglu pictured in Dublin following a road rage incident (Image: Collins Photo Agency) Once he is in front of her, he slows down to a crawl in front of her and she stops. Mr Çavuşoğlu slows down as he passes to see what is happening. The woman then overtakes the Rambo driver, but he speeds up and almost crashes into the back of Mr Çavuşoğlu's car – and narrowly avoids a safety barrier. He then abruptly overtakes Mr Çavuşoğlu – before coming to a stop.. He then gets out of his vehicle on the M50 to walk back and confront Mr Çavuşoğlu, who is a barber based in Dun Laoghaire. Mr Çavuşoğlu told us he knew he had to stay in his car during the incident. He told us: 'I knew If I got out of the car something really bad would have happened. We could have injured each other. 'Another car could have hit me or him. It was really dangerous. That is why I did not get out of the car.' And he said the man hit both of the wing mirrors on Mr Çavuşoğlu's car – before getting into his own vehicle and driving off. He said: 'He said loads of F words. 'He was really aggressive.' Mr Çavuşoğlu added: 'He kept saying the woman had cut him off but she hadn't and my camera recorded everything – she did nothing. 'I told him she did not do anything wrong and that I wasn't doing anything. He started to move again and I know if I got out of the car something really bad would have happened.' He also said the woman in the original incident was clearly frightened. He said: 'It all started when he got behind her. He was being really aggressive. When I slowed at first, he was trying to stop her. I saw her face and she was terrified. That is why I slowed down, she was trying to get away. 'I was afraid. I was worried he may have had a knife in his back pocket. That's why I did not get out of the car. He was like a madman. I thought he was on drugs or something. His eyes were on fire. I would have understood it if I did something wrong, but I didn't.' Nobody was injured in the incident. Mr Çavuşoğlu said he reported it two separate Garda stations. The force said it is investigating. A spokesman told us: 'Gardaí received a report of an incident at Sandyford Roundabout, Dublin, on 27th July, 2025. Enquiries ongoing.' US Police say shots reported fired inside Park Avenue skyscraper in Manhattan

A person who opened fire inside a midtown Manhattan skyscraper housing several financial firms and the headquarters of the National Football League, police said, has been "neutralised," the New York city police commissioner said. Police did not immediately make details of the shooting public, but a law enforcement source told Reuters at least one New York Police Department officer and two civilians were struck by gunfire and that the suspect was believed to be dead. The source said the information was preliminary, and the condition or extent of injuries sustained by the police officer and two others was not immediately known. The New York Post newspaper, citing unnamed police sources, reported that a gunman wearing a bullet-resistant vest and carrying an AR-style rifle had opened fire inside the Park Avenue skyscraper, wounding a police officer and a bystander. The Post reported they were in critical condition. The gunman, the Post reported, had barricaded himself inside the office tower, possibly on the 32nd floor of the building. A short time later, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Disch said on X: "At this time, the scene has been contained and the lone shooter has been neutralised." The skyscraper at 345 Park Avenue houses a number of financial firms, including Blackstone, KPMG and Deutsche Bank and the NFL headquarters. News media footage showed a large police presence in the area around the office tower. "There is an active shooter investigation taking place in Midtown right now," New York Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement on social media platform X as news of the shooting first surfaced. The FBI said agents from its New York field office were also responding to provide support at the scene.
