In a move that should be absolute theater, former Eagles stars DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick will face off in their first year as D-I head coaches as Delaware State will play host to Norfolk State at Lincoln Financial Field on Thur. Oct. 30.
Calling it 'a potential paradigm shift for HBCU football,' Delaware State University Athletic Director Tony Tucker announced today that the Hornets will host their home game this fall against the Norfolk State Spartans at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Super Bowl LII and LIX Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
DeSean Jackson played the most significant role in the matchup, getting moved to the Linc, and here are his comments.
'I came to Delaware State University to start a new phase of my career with a unique institution that cares about its students and is helping to transform their futures,' said Jackson. 'I know Coach Vick feels the same way at Norfolk State.
'A part of that transformation is opening our students and scholar athletes up to a whole new set of experiences at the highest level. For our teams to be playing in Philly, at Lincoln Financial Field, on the field Coach Vick and I called home for many years will be special for our players, our coaching staffs, our alumni and fans, and for HBCU culture around the country,' added Jackson.
Vick said this about the matchup.
'This is a tremendous opportunity for our student-athletes to play in a world-class venue on a world-class stage,' said Michael Vick, Head Coach, Norfolk State University. 'Coach Jackson and I made so many unforgettable memories together at Lincoln Financial Field – this stadium holds special meaning in my NFL career. I am thrilled to be a part of this historic moment and want to thank the Philadelphia Eagles, Norfolk State, and Delaware State for their collaboration to make this happen.'

Jason Kelce's star-spangled stunt comes with a powerful purpose
There's only one Jason Kelce, and frankly, it's hard to judge how one should feel about that. There are days when it feels like it would be a whole heck of a lot of fun to have two of them. Imagine a pair of 'Jason Kelces' along the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line. But then it flips. How in the heck would the world ever manage having two G.O.A.T.s? Who's going to feed both of these jokers? How might the beer shortage be handled if it were to occur? Advertisement Once all the evidence is weighed, emotion wins by a landslide. Dang, it would be cool to have two Jason Kelces. Philadelphia would have won those rings earlier, but as it turns out, that wasn't fate's plan. We should be grateful for the one we were given. Jason Kelce raises money for charity in true Jason Kelce fashion Here's a recipe for a doggone good time. Mix Jason Kelce and a fifth-annual celebrity bartending event. Add Sea Isle City and an Eagles Autism fundraiser, and the result is the perfect soufflé for fun and charity. The 2025 calendar year marks the fifth time Team 62 at Ocean Drive hosted this event to raise funds for the Eagles Autism Foundation. The legend came dressed for the occasion. As the caption says, we have no words. This is Jason's world. The rest of us are just living in it. 30 Most Important Eagles of 2025: No. 26 Moro Ojomo
Every day from now until the start of training camp, we're counting down our 30 Most Important Eagles for the 2025 season. The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for Super Bowl defense, which features plenty of new and returning faces within the organization. Several players, coaches, and front-office members are crucial to the team's success this season. Every day from now until the start of training camp, we're counting down our 30 Most Important Eagles for the 2025 season. We'll recap their 2024 season, look ahead to 2025, and tackle the most significant question facing them this year. Next up is Moro Ojomo, a third-year pass-rushing defensive tackle looking for a breakout season after the departure of Milton Williams. Background Position: DT Age: 23 Experience: 3rd-year vet 2025 cap hit: $1,049,446 2024 recap Ojomo finished the 2024 season with 20 total tackles (six solo) in 17 regular-season games. 2025 outlook Ojomo returned to his home country just weeks after the Eagles' 40-22 win over the Chiefs, which secured their second-ever championship title. Ojomo significantly contributed to the Eagles' victory, logging a sack. Philadelphia didn't land Walter Nolen and waited until Round 4 to land Ty Brown out of Nebraska. The 68 defensive snaps Ojomo logged as a rookie swelled to 388 in Year 2. Many of those came on third down in pass-rushing situations. When he was on the field, he had the third-highest pass rush win rate in all of pro football and should be utilized in several different scenarios. Biggest question: Can Ojomo help replace Milton Williams' pass rush? Ojomo still maintains his role as a pass-rushing defensive tackle, who can play on the edge in specific situations, and potentially replace Milton Williams's pass-rush prowess. Ojomo's 82.6 pass rush grade was the fifth-best in the NFL, according to PFF. 30 Most Important Eagles of 2025 We're counting down our 30 Most Important Eagles of 2025.
