Imposter govt website spreads fabricated poll ahead of Philippine midterm vote
It appears to show Azucena Huervas, currently the mayor of the province's Valencia city, ahead of four rival candidates including incumbent Governor Rogelio Roque.
"Good evening Bukidnon, this is a post from Radyo Pilipinas, an official survey," the Visayan-language caption to the graphic says, referring to the state-run radio station (archived link).
The post links to website claiming to be Radyo Pilipinas News.

Similar posts surfaced on Facebook as campaigning kicked off for the archipelago's Senate and candidates for so-called party-list seats.
Electioneering will kick into higher gear in March when candidates for House seats and thousands of local positions launch their bids for office (archived link).
'Deceitful article'
Radyo Pilipinas, however, has disowned the circulating graphic and branded the supposed survey results as "fake" in a statement on Facebook on February 14 (archived link).
"A deceitful article is spreading on Facebook, pretending to be from Radyo Pilipinas," the statement reads. "Do not be duped -- always verify information from official sources."
The genuine URL of Radyo Pilipinas is radyopilipinas.ph but its imposter site is hosted on a .com page (archived link).
The state radio also changed its logo in December 2024 but the bogus site still features the old one (archived link).

The graphic also contains numerous errors, for example misspelling the nickname of Governor Roque "Oneil" as "Oniel" -- and his party "Partido Federal ng Pilipinas" as "Partido Rederal ng Pilipinas" (archived link).
Azucena Huervas, who the fabricated poll claims is leading the race, separately denounced the circulating posts.

AFP has previously debunked another fake survey that misused the name of local polling organisation.

Ukraine to receive Patriot air defence systems via NATO, Trump says
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that Washington will send weapons, including Patriot air defence systems, to Ukraine via NATO. "We're going to be sending Patriots to NATO and then NATO will distribute that," Trump told US TV channel CBS News, adding that the alliance would pay for the systems. Posts falsely claim UK issued warrant for South African opposition leader
'Why is this news not headline news?' reads a Facebook post published on June 6, 2025, in Afrikaans, adding a headline: 'President Ramaphosa Breaks Silence on UK Arrest Warrant for Julius Malema: Unbelievable.' Malema is known for his controversial stances, including singing 'Kill the Boer', a song originally chanted during apartheid in protest against the brutal system of white-minority rule (archived here). The post, which features the date "June 5, 2025", is styled as a news article, and claims that 'Ramaphosa has publicly addressed — for the first time — the international arrest warrant issued for Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema by the United Kingdom,' reads the opening paragraph. According to the post, Ramaphosa was 'speaking at the Union Buildings in Pretoria during a joint press conference with visiting EU dignitaries,' where he said that his office had been 'formally briefed by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) and the South African Police Service (SAPS) regarding the UK's legal request'. A Facebook post published on June 11, 2025, features a screenshot from an Instagram account named 'goodluck_ebelejonathan' with a picture that appears to show Jonathan shaking hands with Trump. The text in the Instagram screenshot reads: 'Since our current leaders are pretending to sleep, we pray that we will get our good leadership back in 2027; your choice will determine the betterment of our future." Some posts also include a short video clip showing the same scene. Several local media outlets picked up the Instagram post and reported it as genuine, as seen here and here. Goodluck Jonathan was Nigeria's president between 2010 and 2015. He conceded defeat to Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 election (archived here). He is still eligible to contest for office, having served only one term. However, the photo and video showing Jonathan shaking hands with Trump were generated using artificial intelligence, and the post attributed to the former Nigerian president did not come from official sources. AI-generated images In the purported video from the meeting, Jonathan's fingers disappear upon shaking hands with Trump, a sign that the video was created using artificial intelligence. The video also contains other errors common with AI-generated content, including cartoonish faces and blurred faces in the background. Furthermore, Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan's spokesperson, told AFP Fact Check that the account that posted the image did not belong to Nigeria's ex-president. 'The former president does not have an Instagram account,' Eze said.
