UAE, Armenian Presidents discuss bilateral ties

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Armenia's President Vahagn Khachaturyan have discussed ways to strengthen economic and investment cooperation.
During their meeting at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, both leaders emphasised the importance of supporting the development priorities of their countries.
They also discussed regional and international issues, including recent peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Sheikh Mohamed expressed hope that the agreement would enhance stability and prosperity in the region.
The Armenian President thanked the UAE for its continued support in strengthening their partnership.

Speaking on the occasion of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, observed annually on July 30, Minister of Justice, Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi called the crime a violation of human dignity. Al Nuaimi, who also chairs the National Committee for Combatting Human Trafficking, highlighted the UAE's efforts to build a robust digital framework rooted in justice and transparency. He noted the UAE's use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to streamline procedures and strengthen coordination among authorities, ultimately supporting victims and ensuring justice is served. The minister also called for stronger international cooperation, saying the UAE is committed to working closely with global partners and sharing expertise to tackle trafficking on a broader scale. He concluded by calling for unified global action, noting that ending human trafficking is a shared responsibility.
