Elisabeth Moss wrote a heartfelt letter to Taylor Swift in a bid to get permission to use one of her songs in an episode of The Handmaid's Tale.
The 42-year-old actress has revealed she penned a note to the pop star explaining what "her music means" to her and how the inclusion of the track Look What You Made Me Do would help the show - and she was delighted when Taylor agreed for the song to be used.
Elisabeth told Entertainment Tonight: "We've been so excited ... Honestly the feedback was her saying yes. For me, that was really, truly such an honour that she took the time to read, you know I wrote her a letter about what I felt the song meant for the episode and her music means to me and our cast.
"So the fact that she said yes to me was all the feedback that I needed. "
The song was featured in episode nine of the sixth season of The Handmaid's Tale, which aired in May, and Elisabeth previously revealed she'd wanted to include a Swift song in the series for years and she'd finally found the "perfect moment".
Elisabeth told Billboard: "I've been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I'm so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment.
"Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it's such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show."
The Handmaid's Tale editor Wendy Hallam Martin added to the publication:"In trying many songs for this specific moment in our series and knowing how much Lizzie [Moss] wanted a strong female voice and message, Taylor was really the artist that delivered both lyrically and tonally.
"Our badass main character June in this scene, really was saying 'Look what you made me do' and the song couldn't have been more on point.
"A perfect pairing. When I laid the song up against the scene, it just landed perfectly thematically, rhythmically and magically hit all the edit points which sometimes happens if it's meant to be. I shared it with Lizzie and we both knew immediately that this was the one!"

Embarking on their first tour of Australia in a decade, the ageing rock legends tapped Melbourne punk outfit Amyl and the Sniffers as the support act for the five-city run of shows in the Power Up tour at the end of this year. 'One of the guys has got a huge AC/DC tattoo. They they love the band.' He said AC/DC fans can expect a performance which has good Australian pub rock energy. It's not the first time the band has been linked to AC/DC, with Taylor highlighting them as a major influence in previous interviews. The group covered AC/DC's Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap at Perth's Highway to Hell festival in 2020, to rave reviews. One critic said they could be Scott's 'bastard children'. After the announcement the band would be joining AC/DC on tour, Taylor took to social media dubbing them the 'the best rock and roll band in the world'. 'I just can't believe it I am so excited. Never ever ever would have dreamed this. Highlight of my literal life,' she wrote, before adding, 'a band's music that's been weaved through my whole life.' 'Mainly just excited to see them play multiple times.' Van Egmond also revealed that each concert would be opened by a local support act, backing in the Perth live music scene by finding an up and coming band to play Optus Stadium for the two nights 'It's going to be an amazing series of concerts, and at a great time of the year with, you know, Amyl and the Sniffers as a great special guest and then some great local openers in in each in each of the markets,' he said. 'We're supporting the local music scene by having local openers, and then we're, you know, supporting the Australian music scene by having an Aussie band like Amyl and the Sniffers.' It comes as tickets for the second and final Perth show on December 8 went on sale on Monday, with organisers saying sales were strong. After announcing shows across Australia last week, the band scheduled a second concert in each city after tickets sold at an average rate of 1200-a-minute Ticketek, the official ticketing provider for most of the Australian shows, said last Thursday marked the largest concert on-sale day in its 40-year history, eclipsing AC/DC's previous record for its Black Ice World Tour in 2009. 'This second Perth show will definitely be the final show that will be added to the Australian tour,' van Egmond said 'We can confirm that absolutely no further shows will be added to the Australian leg.'

Taylor Swift's company buy giant friendship bracelet for 13k
Taylor Swift has spent $13,000 on a giant friendship bracelet. The Bad Blood hitmaker's personal services company, Firefly Entertainments Inc., have reportedly splashed out on the 140-foot-long inflatable decoration which was draped over New Orleans' Caesars Superdome during her Eras Tour, local outlet 4WWL have revealed. The outlet explained the information came from the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District, the state board that manages the dome and is expected to approve the purchase during a board meeting. Firefly will be responsible for collecting, shipping, and delivering the bracelet - which read 'Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour' in white beads, with colourful gems in between the words - according to the purchase agreement. Shawn and Jules Kolodny of Kolossal Arts designed the piece and are thrilled Taylor is giving the bracelet a permanent home. They told Us Weekly in a statement: 'It's so fitting that the final trade of the giant friendship bracelet was to Taylor — she's the reason it exists. We love that it's with her now.' Making and trading friendship bracelets has been a favourite pastime of Taylor's fans at her concerts and is inspired by a line in her 2022 song 'You're on Your Own, Kid', which reads: 'So make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.' During one of her three shows in New Orleans last October, Taylor praised the giant bracelet. She told her audience: 'You've created traditions. You've created this mass movement of joy every time we play a show. And it makes me so proud, it really does. 'I just showed up one day and you guys were trading friendship bracelets and I was like, 'That's cool,' and now there is a giant friendship bracelet on the outside of this stadium.' 'Which is so nice of them to do for us — but it's even nicer of you guys to create things that went so far beyond what I ever expected for this tour.' Following the New Orleans concerts, the giant friendship bracelet was moved to other tour stops in other cities.
