The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested three people for stealing electrical cables from a commercial store in the Wilayat of Al Khabourah.
The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command also arrested a man for stealing livestock from a farm in the Wilayat of Suhar.
The Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Tasks Police Units in Bausher and Seeb, seized 65 vehicles and arrested a number of people late at night for drifting and disturbing the peace and tranquility.

Salalah Airport customs foils attempt to smuggle 15.5kg of marijuana
By OUR CORRESPONDENT Salalah -Customs officials at Salalah Airport, in coordination with the competent authorities, have successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 15.5kg of marijuana into the sultanate. According to the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the narcotics were discovered concealed inside electric water heaters stashed within the personal luggage of two individuals of Asian nationality. The smugglers had meticulously hidden the drugs in an effort to deceive customs inspectors. The suspects were immediately apprehended, and legal procedures have been initiated to refer them to the competent judicial authorities. The ROP reiterated its unwavering commitment to combating drug trafficking in all its forms, stressing ongoing efforts to tighten control over border crossings and ports of entry in cooperation with relevant entities, in order to safeguard the security and well-being of society.

ROP arrests three for trafficking, 47 women for immoral acts
Muscat: Three people, including an Omani citizen and two Egyptian nationals, have been arrested on charges of human trafficking in Muscat. The operation was carried out by the Muscat Governorate Police Command in cooperation with the Special Taskforce Police Command. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) also arrested 47 women of various nationalities for engaging in acts contrary to public morals and decency. The group comprised 21 Egyptian nationals, 10 Iranians, eight Pakistanis, four Thais, two Uzbeks and two Moroccans. The ROP said legal action is being taken against all those involved, and investigations are continuing.

Two expats die in Bausher building collapse after gas leak
Muscat: Two Asian nationals died after a residential and commercial building partially collapsed in the Wilayat of Bawshar due to an explosion following a cooking gas leak in a restaurant. The relevant authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Rescue and ambulance teams from the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority in Muscat Governorate responded immediately to the incident.
