IF the next Club World Cup is held during winter it would play havoc with the Premier League schedule.
Qatar have expressed an interest in hosting Fifa's expanded tournament after its inaugural showing in the United States this summer.

But due to extreme temperatures during Qatari summers, the nation would have to host the Club World Cup in December, like they did with the 2022 World Cup.
Qatari representatives held talks with Fifa's highest ranking officials in the US about a possible swap last week, according to The Guardian.
The Middle East nation has shown a desire to stage the next edition in four years' time in December 2029.
But this would be fiercely opposed by European leagues, including the Premier League, because of the disruption it would cause to domestic seasons.

Qatar's summer bid for the 2022 World Cup was moved to winter due to the extreme climate, forcing every domestic league to pause for more than a month.
But those in the Middle East have put forward a strong sales pitch to Fifa, claiming they could host a carbon-neutral Club World Cup.
The current tournament has involved teams flying all over the US with venues in 11 different cities.
The nine stadiums Qatar built to host the World Cup remain in place, and could be used meaning they could minimise staging costs and travel for fans.

Players have complained about the weather conditions at the Club World Cup, with Chelsea's last-16 win over Benfica suspended for TWO HOURS due to "the risk of lightning in the vicinity of Bank of America Stadium".
It was the sixth game of the tournament that has been suspended due to seasonal summer thunderstorms, with players launching huge complaints.

Stars from several clubs have complained about the conditions and the global players' union FifPro is due to address their welfare concerns in a press conference on Monday.
Experts also warned players to prepare for frequent weather-related delays at the 2026 World Cup hosted in the US, Mexico and Canada next year.
And while the date has yet to be confirmed there is widespread expectation that the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia will be shifted to the winter.

The Diamonds' new signing on the club's clash with the Welsh side and settling in at New Broomfield Airdrie defender Sean McGinty feels the Diamonds have already shown glimpses of how good they can be this season after impressing against Welsh Premier League outfit Penybont on Saturday. 'They have been back for a few weeks. I think they are four weeks ahead of us in terms of schedule because they are preparing for a European game next week. 'But we showed a few good passages of play and we scored a really good goal through Jamie Barjonas so there are a lot of positives to take from it. 'It's only the first game to blow the cobwebs off so we are ready for the real stuff starting against Dundee in a couple of weeks. 'I'm settling in well. I was captain just for that first game and it was good to be back out there because I've not played a game since May 2. 'We've only been back training for a week so everyone is still building relationships and seeing how everyone plays. There were a few trialists in as well so we had a bit of a split team in the game. 'But we've got a really talented squad and I'm excited for what the season brings. I'm really enjoying it, long may that continue.' Former Hamilton ace McGinty has been joined at the club by fellow ex-Accies stars Barjonas and forward Euan Henderson and it helps to have some familiar faces around. The Englishman added: 'We all know each other well and how we like to play so it is good to have that and play with Hendo and Barjo again. 'There will be a lot of double sessions this week and we look forward to the game with Albion Rovers this weekend to build on what we've been working on. 'We play St Mirren on the Tuesday [July 8] as well so that will be a really good test for us.' Twins sign first senior contracts Airdrieonians have announced twin brothers Cole and Dylan Williams have been rewarded for their academy endeavours with their first senior contracts. The 17-year-old midfielders gained some valuable first-team experience last season, each making two substitute appearances as they trained with the senior players and featured in a number of matchday squads. However it was in the Under 18s squad that the former St Johnstone youths regularly caught the eye, Dylan ending the season with the player of the year award as he grabbed 23 goals in 32 appearances, while Cole managed five in 33 appearances. Amid interest from elsewhere, the players have chosen to continue their career with Airdrie as they make the well-deserved step up. Manager Rhys McCabe was delighted to add the youngsters to his first-team squad, saying: 'Cole and Dylan are two exciting prospects for the future. 'They're young boys who have already benefitted from their experience in the first-team environment, and they'll continue to learn from the senior players as they try to push their way into contention.' Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola immediately turned his thoughts to next season after his side crashed to a shock defeat to Al-Hilal at the Club World Cup. The Premier League side were beaten 4-3 in extra time after a pulsating clash at Orlando's Camping World Stadium to exit the competition at the last-16 stage. City were left to rue a succession of missed chances as they failed to add to Bernardo Silva's ninth-minute opener before Marcos Leonardo and Malcom turned the game around. Erling Haaland sent the game to extra time but City needed another equaliser from Phil Foden after Kalidou Koulibaly headed the Saudi Arabian outfit back in front. City, who were repeatedly caught on the break, could not regain the initiative and Leonardo secured a major upset – and a statement victory for Saudi football – with 112 minutes on the clock. Guardiola said: 'It is a pity. We have been on incredible journey together and were in a good place. The vibe was really good. 'I cannot thank the players enough for training and playing how they have been. 'But it was a difficult game. The margins were minimal. We created a lot and (Yassine) Bounou made incredible saves but we were so open. 'We would have loved to have continued, it will only be once every four years, and we had a feeling that the team was doing well. 'But we go home and now it is time to rest and rest our minds for the new season.' City had been strong favourites to prevail and go through to a quarter-final clash against Fluminense, the side they thrashed 4-0 in the 2023 final, but Guardiola conceded there were shortcomings at both ends of the field. He said: 'We regret a little bit that we allowed them to run a bit more. They defended so deep, the wingers were so quick and Bounou made a lot of saves. 'In the end, we have to score and be clinical. They arrived more in the transitions. They did not create much in the first half but we did but could not finish it. 'I had a feeling we could go through but they punished us on the transitions.'
