Cebu Pacific rolls out P188 promo fare for domestic flights
In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said the promotional fares, exclusive of fees and surcharges, started on Monday, July 21, and will last until Thursday, July 24. These will cover flights from September 1, 2025 to December 15, 2025.
Cebu Pacific flew 2.233 million passengers in June, up from 2.069 million the same month last year. Majority of the passengers or 1.675 million were on domestic flights.
This brought the year-to-date figure to 13.905 million — 10.356 million domestic, and 3.549 million international. The set load factor stood at 85.4%, slightly higher than the 85.3% last year.
'For the first half of 2025, our load factors have increased despite seat growth of more than 20%. This reflects the continued strength of air travel demand within our network,' Lao said.
'Capacity for the second half of June was reduced due to the commencement of the leaner season. This also aligns with ongoing proactive management of engine and supply chain issues, and as such, we would expect capacity growth levels to stay at similar levels through the third quarter before rising again in the fourth quarter,' he added.
The company last week announced the arrival of its latest aircraft, a brand new A330neo, making it the Philippines' first carrier with a 100-strong fleet. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News

Canceled flights on Saturday, July 26, 2025
Some flights were canceled on Saturday, July 26, 2025 due to inclement weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon and tropical cyclones Dante and Emong. In an advisory, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said the following flights were canceled: Philippine Airlines PR 2932: Manila - Basco PR 2933: Basco – Manila Cebu Pacific Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific said that its flight operations are now returning to normal. However, the budget carrier said some delays might still be expected, particularly on the following destinations: Cauayan, Laoag, San Jose, Tuguegarao: July 26 Taipei: July 26-27 Kaohsiung: July 28 'Passengers are advised to check directly with their airlines for real-time updates, rebooking options, or refund procedures,' the CAAP said. The aviation regulator, moreover, said that glass panels and a portion of the ceiling at the San Fernando Control Tower sustained damage due to the typhoon, resulting in the exposure of all communication equipment to water. 'Pending completion of repairs, the San Fernando airport will remain closed and the Authority has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM),' it said. The CAAP said it continues to closely monitor weather developments and is in active coordination with airline operators and airport authorities to ensure the safety and welfare of the traveling public. PH Pavilion at Expo 2025 on track to hit 600,000 visitors
OSAKA, Japan — The Philippine Pavilion at the ongoing Expo 2025 is on track to hit 600,000 visitors soon, organizers said.
