Did you know Baazigar's original ending had Kajol kill Shah Rukh Khan? Abbas-Mustan calls SRK's character 'out-and-out negative'
Baazigar, a thriller, marked a turning point for Shah Rukh Khan. Directors Abbas-Mustan revealed the original script's darker elements. The initial plot involved a more negative character and a different ending. Kajol's character was to deliver justice by killing Shah Rukh Khan's character. The directors later shifted the focus to emotional depth. Baazigar was a turning point in Shah Rukh Khan 's career and in Bollywood storytelling. The 1993 thriller dared to cast SRK as a morally complex anti-hero at a time when clean-cut heroes dominated the silver screen. Now, decades later, the film's directors Abbas-Mustan, in an interview with Lucky Bisht, have revealed that the original script was even bolder—with a darker plot and a completely different ending that had Kajol's character delivering justice by killing SRK's. A Risky Move for Its Time Abbas-Mustan admitted that Baazigar's concept was quite unconventional for its time. While many saw Shah Rukh Khan's character as a villain, the directors always viewed him as the film's hero. Mustan explained that although the character had a dark side, his actions were driven by a deeper motive. According to them, when a negative character is given emotional depth or a justifiable reason for their behavior, the audience is more likely to empathize with them — which is exactly what they aimed for with SRK's role. The Original Ending Mustan also revealed that the original draft of Baazigar was significantly darker than the final version. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Many Are Watching Tariffs - Few Are Watching What Nvidia Just Launched Seeking Alpha Read More Undo In that version, Shah Rukh Khan's character was portrayed as entirely negative—shaped by a traumatic childhood involving an abusive, alcoholic father. Driven by a desire to become rich, he manipulates his way into relationships with both daughters of a wealthy businessman, ultimately killing one of them to gain control over the family's fortune. The twist in that early draft? The second daughter discovers his true intentions and ends up killing him, bringing the story full circle with her act of justice. From Thriller to Emotional Drama Mustan further shared that while the original draft leaned heavily into a dark, thriller tone, they later drew inspiration from iconic filmmakers like Manmohan Desai and Prakash Mehra, who emphasized emotional storytelling. Realizing that the film needed a deeper emotional core to resonate with audiences, they reworked the script to give Shah Rukh Khan's character a strong backstory. This included his bond with his mother, the trauma of his father's death, and the loss of his younger sister. Mustan revealed they approached the producer to explain the shift in the storyline and asked for additional time to craft a more emotionally engaging screenplay. In his words, it was the emotional depth—and not just the suspense—that became Baazigar's most crucial element. Baazigar follows Shah Rukh's character as he seeks revenge against businessman Madan Chopra for ruining his family. Posing under a false identity, he dates Chopra's daughters, kills one, and later falls for the other. The film ends with Ajay's death in a violent confrontation.

'Don't get caught': Tesla, IKEA and several other brands recreate Coldplay's viral clip of Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot
The internet's latest obsession, an awkward 'kiss cam' moment featuring Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR Chief Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert has garnered massive attention — not just from netizens but also from several top brands. What began as a cozy moment between the two colleagues, captured by the concert's kiss cam and magnified by Coldplay's lead vocalist, Chris Martin's playful commentary has now inspired a wave of cheeky corporate homages. Global giants like Tesla and IKEA are leading the charge, cleverly fitting the 'Don't get caught' narrative into their own marketing campaigns, proving that even an HR-adjacent scandal can be turned into marketing gold. Several other companies have also used the 'kiss cam' scandal to their advantage and released some hilarious advertisements of their products. Furniture retail brand, IKEA posted a picture of a stuffed panda hugging an orangutan from behind, mimicking the 'viral colleagues' on their Instagram page. The caption read, "Don't get caught... without these! Drama-free cuddles guaranteed." The phrase "HR approved" was placed in the image. On the other hand, Elon Musk-owned brand Tesla posted on X, humorously stating 'Posting a pic of you enjoying your loaner Tesla while your own one is in service is the equivalent of taking it to a Coldplay concert. Your car will know.' Tesla's post Frido, a popular pillow and mattress company, photoshopped Andy Byron onto their cuddle pillow with the caption, 'Bro could've just used our Cuddle Pillow and avoided all that embarrassment.' Frido's post Even airlines did not miss out on the trend as Private jet charter service GlobeAir reposted the viral clip by adding a twist. "The quickest escape after a Coldplay concert," the text read, featuring a Boston-to-Hawaii escape. While most of the comments on the brands' marketing campaigns have been full of jokes and praises for the companies' marketing teams, some also showed concern about humourising a serious incident of adultery and broken families. Commenting on the Frido's satirical post based on the viral incident, an X user said, 'You and your team should be ashamed of this,@ganeshunwired. It's a new low, taking someone's personal life to hawk a product.' Another user commented, 'Pathetic to make fun of someone's relationship to sell your stuff.' The Astronomer CEO Andy Byron faced widespread backlash after a video involving him with his colleague, Kristin Cabot went viral. In the footage, he was seen sharing an intimate moment with the company's Human Resources (HR) head in a Kiss Cam segment during a Coldplay concert, despite being married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, who has mostly avoided social media after the 'work affair' surfaced. Kristin Cabot is the Chief People Officer of Astronomer and also reportedly married to a separate person named Andrew Cabot, who is a Harvard graduate.

Badshah asks his dad to break down his outfit—the hilarious response will leave you in splits
Rapper Badshah recently shared a BTS glimpse with his fans that has gone viral on social media. The rapper asks his dad for a "drip check" in a now-viral Instagram reel, but instead of receiving praise, he receives a dose of traditional dad-level transparency. No matter how well-known you are, a desi father will always keep you grounded. This is shown when Badshah boldly displays his attire and requests a style breakdown, and his father hilariously mocks every piece. Watch the video here: "How much do you think this coat cost?" Badshah asks as the camera pans in on his father's outfit. 'I think this is at least ten years old,' his father says without hesitation. His father gives the ideal response when Badshah presses once more, "How much did it cost?" "Someone gave it," he says without missing a beat. The rapper continues by repeating the question while pointing to his shoes. In keeping with his tradition, his father remarks, "Those are from your wedding—cost around ₹4,000 back then." When Badshah finally inquires about the tie, he is met with the final zinger: "Even this is also given by someone." The internet is in splits as the entire moment is delivered with the ideal balance of fatherly sass and sarcastic humor. On the work front, Badshah is preparing for The Unfinished Tour 2025, which will take him across the United States, with stops scheduled in Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, and other cities. He is also preparing to make his debut in a fashion show, which will be a significant milestone for Indian representation in international fashion. Following the success of his album Ek Tha Raja, which received over 350 million streams, Badshah is currently working independently on a new hip-hop album.
