LEGO returns to Bay Beach with spectacular array of displays
The free 'Unplug and Play Day' gave families a chance to pause technology and tee off on the mini golf course.
'The idea actually came from our Board of Connectors, which is a group of kids of our associates and from Boys & Girls Clubs that came together with our CEO to come up with some great ideas about how to unplug a little bit better,' said UScellular Marketing Manager Katie Kircik.

T-Mobile Takes Friday Night 5G Lights to a Whole. New. Level: More Winners, More Ways to Win and $4M in Total Prizes Up for Grabs
The Un-carrier's nationwide competition to level the playing field for small towns returns with Patrick Mahomes and Rob Gronkowski rallying high schools to share their stories for a chance to win a game-changing football field makeover BELLEVUE, Wash., July 17, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) today announced the return of Friday Night 5G Lights, the game-changing competition turning high school football into a nationwide celebration of hometown pride. Last season, nearly 1,750 high schools from all 50 states brought unmatched energy and creativity, rallying their communities and the nation. Magenta was everywhere — football jerseys, signs and even hair — as small towns nationwide repped T-Mobile and showed off their school spirit on and off the field. Students called on celebrities like Jennifer Garner, Jamie Lee Curtis and Matthew McConaughey to hype up their schools. Entire towns packed stands, cheering their hearts out. Millions of votes poured in. In the small town of Inola, Oklahoma, home to less than 2,000 people, students at Inola High School hustled so hard, they called every other school in the state (that's over 1,700!) and even traveled to Oklahoma City to drum up support, ultimately winning the grand prize. After a wildly successful debut, the 2025 season promises to be even bigger, with more winners, more prizes and more chances for small towns to shine on a national stage. "Last year, we saw what happens when small towns get the spotlight they deserve, and the response blew us away," said Jon Freier, President, T-Mobile Consumer Group. "So this year, we're turning it up. We're shining a bigger spotlight with Friday Night 5G Lights so more communities can share what makes them special and get the support they need to bring their vision to life." This year's competition is putting over $4 million in total prizes on the line: 450 schools will win $5,000 through weekly $5K Fridays giveaways. 25 finalists will each score $25,000 for their football programs. 1 lucky finalist will win "Fan Favorite" as voted on by T-Mobile employees to receive an extra $25,000. 1 grand prize winner will receive a $1 million football field upgrade, a renovated weight room from Gronk Fitness, a consultation with stadium experience experts, an all-expense-paid trip to the SEC Championship Game for select school officials and students and a tailgate party revealing the finalized upgrades in 2026. Whew! Beyond the competition, T-Mobile customers can get in on the action and score a Friday Night 5G Lights water bottle on July 29 and a stadium bag on Aug. 26 through T-Mobile Tuesdays. Super Bowl Legends Champion the Competition To help make this year's competition even louder and prouder, three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes is joining the fun alongside returning ambassador Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski, as well as top college athletes and high school football heroes. "Growing up in a small town in Texas, I know what high school football means to these communities and how much love the players, parents and fans have for the game," said Mahomes. "This competition is all about recognizing that heart and giving these communities the kind of support they deserve." "Friday nights are about so much more than just football to small towns. They're about community, tradition and pride," said Gronkowski, four-time Super Bowl champ. "We saw so much passion and dedication last year with Friday Night 5G Lights, that we knew we had to take things further this time around. The energy is electric, and I can't wait to see what these schools do." How to Get in the Game High schools in U.S. towns with populations under 150,000 are eligible to apply. Authorized school officials, including teachers, coaches or administrators can submit an entry on behalf of their school at Submissions must include a short story or essay about why their school deserves an Un-carrier-style transformation for their football field. Applications open today and will be accepted through Sept. 12. Any school that signs up will automatically be entered for a chance to win $5,000 in our "$5K Fridays" sweepstakes running each week of the application period, with 100 winners selected in Week 1 and 50 winners in each of the following seven weeks. A panel of judges will select 25 finalists based on community impact, need, creativity and more. Public voting runs from Sept. 25 to Oct. 24, and anyone in the country can vote once per day through Finalists may also earn bonus votes by completing weekly "Social Plays" posted on the Friday Night 5G Lights website. The grand prize winner will be announced on Oct. 30. What 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' fans think of Season 3 so far — from 'Bonrad' shippers to 'Jelly' apologists
It's a sound and image that fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty know too well: That gentle, melodic theme over sunlight glittering on water. Jenny Han's beloved coming-of-age series is back for its third and final season after a two-year hiatus that has tested even the most seasoned yearners. The season's first two episodes, which dropped at 3 a.m. ET on Wednesday, have already garnered a trove of opinions from diehard fans. Taking into consideration the fandom's deep investment in the show and its stars, both on and offscreen, The Summer I Turned Pretty's official Instagram and X accounts even issued a warning for fans ahead of the season premiere to 'keep the conversation kind this summer.' As with seasons past, the fandom is once again staunchly divided into 'Team Bonrad' and 'Team Jelly.' 'Bonrad' shippers, of course, believe Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) and Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney) are endgame, while 'Jelly' fans are convinced that Belly and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) should come out on top. While they desperately await the release of Episode 3 — episodes will drop weekly at 3 a.m. ET every Wednesday, with the series finale debuting on Wednesday, Sept. 17 — fans have flocked to social media to share their initial reactions. From 'Bonrad' shippers to 'Jelly' apologists and everything in between, here's what fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty — commonly referred to as TSITP — are saying about the season so far. Spoilers ahead! Christmas at Cousins flashback While there were minimal scenes of them actually together, Belly and Conrad shippers were satisfied with the crumbs they were given in the first two episodes. Fans were especially delighted by a specific scene, a flashback, in which Belly and Conrad serendipitously find themselves alone, together, at the Cousins beach house over the holidays. Their time together is fleeting — Conrad guiltily bails after just one day because he is, after all, still madly in love with his brother's current girlfriend — but the yearning is still very much apparent. When Belly slips and falls, Conrad lifts her up and carries her to the sofa. The moment triggers a realization in Belly: 'A part of me will always love you.' 'POV: TSITP season 3 only dropped two episodes so far, but Conrad and Belly's chemistry is already unmatched,' read one fan video, while another fan wrote, 'At least Conrad girlies had one win in the first two episodes.' 'P.S. I Still Love You' Easter egg In a move that one fan called 'the most brilliant thing jenny han has ever done,' members of The Summer I Turned Pretty fandom were quick to notice an expertly planted Easter egg during the 'Bonrad' Christmas flashback. Before abruptly leaving Belly and the Cousins beach house, Conrad leaves her a sticky note on his partially finished crossword. Belly glimpses a crossword clue, which reads, 'Novel by author Jenny Han, 'P.S. I ____ Love You.' She fills in the blanks with the word 'Still,' which Conrad appears to have also written but erased. Both a nod to Han's 2015 novel P.S. I Still Love You, the second installment in the To All The Boys I've Loved Before movie trilogy, and an acknowledgment of Belly still being in love with Conrad, fans clocked — and then swooned over — the very intentional moment. Jeremiah's confession In the final minutes of the first episode, viewers who haven't read the books were surprised to learn that Jeremiah cheated on Belly with Lacie Barone (Lily Donoghue) while vacationing in Cabo for spring break. Belly overhears Lacie speaking of their hookup at a party, which prompts her heartwrenching confrontation with Jeremiah, who admits to sleeping with her and hiding it. Jeremiah says he assumed he and Belly had legitimately broken up at the time of his alleged offense, though Belly asserts that they hadn't actually called it quits. ('You knew that we weren't really broken up, that that wasn't real,' she tearfully tells him.) Jeremiah later admits to being intimate with Lacie not once, but twice. Belly, however, ends up forgiving him, and the two of them get engaged at the end of Episode 2. The anti-Jeremiah camp was strongly assembled by this point, with many dumbfounded by his inability to take responsibility for his actions, and Belly's seemingly ill-advised decision to pick 'the guy that CHEATED on her' over 'the man that she will still forever love.' But some fans are still fiercely defending Casalegno's on-screen character, writing on TikTok, 'I can't with Belly 😭They break up! … Letting yall know he did NOT cheat.' Music cues for the pop girlies The Summer I Turned Pretty has been known to punctuate its most emotional moments with tracks by some of music's most beloved pop girlies, like Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo. Tracks by both Swift and Rodrigo have already played over poignant moments in the first two episodes of the season, from Swift's 'You're Losing Me' soundtracking Belly and Jeremiah's devastating confrontation to Rodrigo's 'Lacy' being heard as Belly deals with the aftermath of their breakup. Ariana Grande's breakup ballad 'i wish i hated you' also plays during the second episode. 'I just got whiplash because you're losing me and lacy being played BACK TO BACK,' one fan wrote on TikTok, while another commented, 'I was stopped in my tracks omg.' Solve the daily Crossword

Rachel Brosnahan Wants Lois Lane to Fly in a SUPERMAN Sequel — GeekTyrant
James Gunn's Superman has officially taken off, and with the film's warm reception, fans (and cast members) are already dreaming about where this new DC Universe could go next. David Corenswet has his eye on bringing Nightwing into the mix, hoping Clark Kent can offer some 'uncle energy' to a younger hero. But for Rachel Brosnahan, it's all about getting Lois Lane off the ground and flying. In a fun Wired Q&A, the cast tackled 50 questions about Superman lore, including one that asked if Lois Lane ever gets powers. Turns out, yes, quite a few times, actually, and Brosnahan is more than ready to follow suit. Gunn chimed in with a revealing comment: 'I think about it every time I see her with powers, I'm like, 'I know it. I know it's Rachel's.' She was so happy to be cast as Lois Lane, and another part of her was like, 'I want to be able to fly.'' Brosnahan didn't miss the opportunity to let fans know she's absolutely on board with that idea. With a smile, she added: 'Tell James you want a sequel where Lois Lane flies.' The idea isn't without precedent. Lois has suited up as Superwoman more than once in the comics and right now, she's doing exactly that in the current DC runs. Also, let's not forget All-Star Superman, one of the film's clear inspirations, where Lois temporarily gains powers and shares an unforgettable day with Clark in the sky. Will Gunn follow through and give us a powered-up Lois in the sequel? We don't know yet. But the request is has been made by Lois Lane herself.
