Zeenat Aman, being one of the leading stars in the 70s, has worked with most of the A-listers of those times. She was often paired against actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra. In an old interview with Shemaroo Lifestyle, the actress talked about her experience working with these stars and their behaviour on set.
In an interview with the publication, Zeenat Aman shared how her Ajnabee co-star would control things on set. 'He was in control and everybody used to hail the hero and wait for him. I remember shooting Aashiq Hu Baharon Ka. We would start quite late. And he would be incharge-when I am going to come, when I am going to shoot, and when I am going to leave. It was all decided by Rajesh Khanna.' In the same interview, the actress shared, 'Rajesh Khanna used to always be late on set.'
Zeenat Aman was first paired against Rajesh Khanna in the 1974 film Ajanabee. They were paired again in 1977 for the film Aashiq Hoon Baharon Ka. By this time, the Rajesh Khanna fever had died down among the audience, but he continued to get the star treatment on sets. In 1982, they collaborated again for the film Jaanwar, which became a hit at the box office.
Comparatively, she appeared in more films with Amitabh Bachchan than Rajesh Khanna. Speaking about the Don star, Zeenat called him 'extremely professional.'
Amitabh Bachchan, who shot to fame with Zanjeer in 1973, became the next big thing in Bollywood, stealing the spotlight from Rajesh Khanna. But, he never threw a tantrum on set. Zeenat, in the same interview claimed, 'Amitabh Bachchan is very professional. He is producer and director's actor.'

Amitabh Bachchan, who is still active in films, is known for surrendering himself to his directors. Just last year, his Kalki 2898 AD director Nag Ashwin revealed how the veteran star would take his permission before using the restroom. He told India Today, 'I think we were shooting, and were delayed. We were trying to catch up and he came up to me and I was trying to make an excuse to him about the delay and he's like, 'Can I just use the restroom and come?' I said, 'Why are you asking me, sir, you can do whatever you want.' So he's just he's just that great.'
Later, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to share the reason behind taking his director's permission. He wrote, 'It is not being humble of setting example .. it's just an act of extreme normality .. and the hullabaloo is deafening ..And the director saying it was one hellava thing that I asked him permission to go to the washroom during the shoot ..Yes I do need to take permission .. it is his set, his time , he is the Captain, I am the servant that has been employed, if I need to go for nature's call , I must seek his permission!'

This 'Bhoot Bungalow' changed Rajendra Kumar's fate, was lucky for Rajesh Khanna, left Rajesh Khanna crying after… In the glitzy and glamorous life of Bollywood, its usually the dazzling and picture perfect lives of celebrities that takes the center stage. However, what happens behind the sparkling life, is a lot more than what meets the eye. One such similar tale is of Bollywood's legendary actor who dominated the golden era of Hindi cinema. The person that we are talking about is none other than Rajendra Kumar, famously known as 'Jubilee Kumar'. He had everything from fame, wealth, to blockbuster success, but despite that, a story of his emotional loss stayed with him in his final days. Rajendra Kumar Film Debut, Early Life, And More When Rajendra Kumar ventured into the dreamland of Mumbai, he had merely Rs 50 in his pocket. He even sold his father's watch to make ends meet. But through enough dedication and hard work, he started his career assisting director H.S. Rawail. Small roles in films like Jogan and Patanga led him to his big break in Mother India (1957), where his performance caught the audience's attention. Slowly and gradually, his career evolved. He made his debut as a lead actor in the year 1959 with the film Goonj Uthi Shehnai. Later, he delivered a streak of hits like Dhool Ka Phool, Mere Mehboob, Sangam, and Aarzoo. His movies ran in theatres for 25 consecutive weeks, earning him the title 'Jubilee Kumar'. Why did Rajendra Kumar Sell His House, Dimple? To celebrate this mammoth of success, he bought a beautiful bungalow and named it Dimple. This house showcased his dreams, but later, due to financial constraints, he had to sell his house. The person who bought the house was none other than the rising star, Rajesh Khanna. Rajesh renamed the house Aashirwad, and from that house began his journey to superstardom. Rajendra was very attached to his house, and as per reports, he even cried the entire night after leaving it. Despite his glittering legacy and legendary films, the pain of parting with Dimple never faded.

For those grappling with the challenge this Saturday, here's a deeper look into the clues, answers, and strategies surrounding the July 19 puzzle. What is NYT Connections? A follow-up to the viral success of Wordle , NYT Connections is a digital word association game that tasks players with categorising 16 seemingly unrelated words into four groups of four. Each group, marked with a distinct color, Yellow (easy), Green (medium), Blue (hard), and Purple (tricky/obscure), is connected by a shared trait or thematic link. The challenge lies not only in the associations themselves but in the subtle traps laid out by misleading groupings and double-meanings. Before jumping to the full solution, here are some hints for solvers to nudge them in the right direction, as per a report by Beebom. Hints for July 19: Live Events Yellow: Where your water comes from Green: Common actions in football training Blue: Found in the office supply drawer Purple: Linked to an iconic Saturday cartoon series These subtle nods formed the basis for sorting the puzzle's 16 words into four logical groups, each with its own twist. NYT Connections Categories Revealed For puzzle #769, the categories turned out to be: Yellow: Sources of Drinking Water Green: Things You Can Do with a Football Blue: Sharp Fasteners Purple: Starts of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles From the mundane (like well and tap) to the nostalgic (Don, Leo, Mic, Rap ), the groupings reflected a blend of daily life, sports, stationery, and 1980s pop culture. Each category contained subtle cues for solvers willing to look beyond surface meanings. NYT Connections Answers: Puzzle #769 Those still puzzling may want to stop here, but for players seeking confirmation or clarity, here are the complete answers for July 19, 2025: Sources of Drinking Water (Yellow): Rain Spring Tap Well Things You Can Do with a Football (Green): Pass Punt Snap Spike Sharp Fasteners (Blue): Brad Nail Pin Tack Starts of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Purple): Don Leo Mic Rap These groupings, though ultimately logical, left many scratching their heads — particularly the final purple category, which played cleverly on the shortened names of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Strategy and Tips for Solving NYT Connections As the game's fanbase continues to swell, so too does the need for clever solving strategies. Veteran players shared a few useful tips for those hoping to improve their solving streak. 1. Keep It Simple: Many players trip overthinking connections. The editors often lean toward intuitive or common-sense categories. That means "rain" and "well" are likely connected by something as basic as "water" rather than complex metaphors. 2. Use the Shuffle Feature: Shuffling the grid before attempting to solve is a recommended tactic. The original placement of words often misleads, and new word alignments can trigger recognition. 3. Manage Your Guesses Wisely: With only four chances per day, accuracy is critical. Take your time and weigh your choices carefully before hitting submit. 4. Look for Outliers First: Some words don't quite fit anywhere at first glance — but they might belong to the most obscure category. Start there to narrow the playing field. The Puzzle's Cultural Pull The July 19 edition also highlighted a growing pattern in the NYT Connections strategy — using generational nostalgia. Today's Purple category nod to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise drew knowing chuckles from fans familiar with the Saturday morning lineup of the 1980s and '90s. At the same time, the office supply category provided a more tactile and contemporary anchor. The balance of universality and specificity is a hallmark of Connections , and it's this blend that keeps players coming back. FAQs What is NYT Connections? NYT Connections is a daily digital word association game by The New York Times . Players must organize 16 words into four groups of four, with each group connected by a shared theme. Categories vary in difficulty from Yellow (easy) to Purple (tricky/obscure). How does NYT Connections work? The game presents a grid of 16 seemingly unrelated words. Your goal is to identify four groups based on shared traits. You only get four incorrect guesses, so strategy is key. Themes can be broad (like 'Office Supplies') or pop-culture-driven (like 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles').

Aamir Khan Is An ‘Interfering Actor'? Sitaare Zameen Par Writer Reacts To Claims

Sitaare Zameen Par writer Divya Nidhi Sharma refutes claims of Aamir Khan being an interfering actor, calling him respectful, involved, and open to discussion. Aamir Khan has been in the headlines for the past many months, most recently for his movie Sitaare Zameen Par. The film, a spiritual sequel to his blockbuster Taare Zameen Par, was one of the most talked-about movies of the year. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film hit the big screen on June 20. While the conversation around the movie was largely positive, online chatter around Aamir being an 'interfering actor" continues to surface. However, Sitaare Zameen Par writer Divya Nidhi Sharma has addressed these claims and clarified that Aamir Khan is involved, but never interferes. In a conversation with India Today, Divya Nidhi Sharma opened up about the claims, revealing that he had also heard such things before working with Aamir Khan on Laapataa Ladies. But his experience proved otherwise. 'Honestly, I had also heard about these things, but after being part of the Laapataa Ladies writing team, and now Sitaare Zameen Par, I can assure you that while he remains involved, there is no interference. Because I was also on set during the shoot, I can even say from Prasanna's side that there was zero interference. It was perhaps one of the finest experiences of our lives," Sharma said. He added that with Aamir, 'there was room for discussion and debate. He does take time to trust, but once that trust is built, it's a smooth ride. Even if he has a counterpoint, it never came across as an imposition. There was always room for discussion and debate, and he was more than willing to concede. He is one of the few actors who respect the written word. Even if he had to change a comma, he would ask the writer, and not once did he impose himself on the director." Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy drama film directed by R. S. Prasanna, and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar will make their Hindi cinema debut with the film. The film also boasts a strong supporting cast with seasoned performers like Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and Ankita Sehgal. The film follows the emotional journey of Gulshan, a once-celebrated basketball coach played by Aamir Khan, who's sent to teach the game to a group of neurodivergent kids as part of his community service after a DUI charge. What begins as a reluctant punishment soon turns into a powerful transformation for both the coach and his students. Genelia Deshmukh plays his wife, Sunita. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
