Carew crush Llangwm as title race begins to take shape
The 2022 champions were ruthless against Llangwm, piling on a massive 365-5 before skittling the visitors for just 102 — winning by 263 runs. Nick Davies struck a classy 101, supported by 88 from Shaun Whitfield and 62 from Tim Hicks. In reply, James Hinchcliffe tore through the Llangwm batting with figures of 4-8, while Iori Hicks chipped in with 2-15.
Cresselly remain on their heels, comfortably beating Lawrenny by eight wickets. After bowling Lawrenny out for 119 — with Tom Arthur taking 3-29 and Charlie Arthur 3-32 — Morgan Lewis (60) and Charlie Arthur (41*) saw them home in just 21.5 overs.
Neyland kept pace near the top with a hard-fought four-wicket win over Burton. Ashley Sutton's 76 and Dai Davies's unbeaten 23 proved vital after Burton posted 147 all out, with Luke Hayman contributing 22 and taking 3-35 in a losing effort.
Saundersfoot also chalked up a win, chasing down 102 to beat Whitland by seven wickets. Prashant Gautam was the pick of the bowlers, taking 5-10, while Nick Cope took 4-21 and hit 26 not out to complete a fine all-round display.
Haverfordwest edged past Herbrandston by four wickets in a nervy low-scoring affair. Herbie were dismissed for 98, with Chris Phillips taking 3-11 and Fin Ateyo 3-13. Ben Field guided Town to victory with a patient unbeaten 50.

DIVISION TWO: Narberth and Pembroke unbeaten
Narberth stay top with a dominant 155-run win over Johnston. Jamie McCormack smashed a stunning 175, before Ryan Williams (4-49) helped bowl Johnston out for 169.
Pembroke are hot on their heels after chasing down Hook's 230 with six wickets in hand. Jack Harries was the standout, finishing unbeaten on 125.
Carew II and Llechryd also enjoyed wins, while St Ishmaels crushed Burton II by 217 runs, with Brennan Devonald (136) and Peter Bradshaw (83) in the runs.

DIVISION THREE: Fishguard flying
Fishguard top Division Three after an eight-wicket win at Stackpole. Nigel Delaney anchored the chase with 63 not out.
Jake Davie's unbeaten 96 helped Pembroke Dock beat Hundleton by 72 runs, while Steve Williams (73) and Charlie Holder (54) powered Hook II past Laugharne.
Elsewhere, Lamphey edged out Kilgetty by 3 wickets, and Neyland II held off Haverfordwest II in a tight contest.

DIVISION FOUR: Saundersfoot II stay perfect
Saundersfoot II made it four from four with an eight-wicket win over Narberth II. Lewis Treadway-Williams top-scored with 44 not out.
Pembroke II were equally dominant, thrashing Haverfordwest III by 131 runs with Paul White unbeaten on 118.
Crymych and St Ishmaels II also recorded big wins, while Carew III saw off Lawrenny II by 70 runs.

East tennis teams surpass expectations
Mission accomplished and a bit more besides has to be the verdict on the East women and men's tennis teams after another Summer County Cup brought together teams from up and down the UK. East women surpassed themselves as a side promoted the previous year by climbing higher up the scale into Division Two for 2026. As for the men it was no secret that they could struggle into Division One shorn of several key players but the squad dug deep and not only finished third but could have actually taken the title on the final day had Surrey opponents not proved too strong. So, with wins over North Wales, Essex, Norfolk and Lincolnshire the East women go up again, their only defeat this year coming against Warwickshire on the Cheltenham courts. Leading performers were Mhairi Beattie (10 sets won out of 13 played), Hanna Augustynska (9-11) and Sarah McFadyen (9-14). Key was winning a series of tight matches by five ties to four. Victories over North Scotland, Northamptonshire and South Wales while losing to Warwickshire and Surrey meant the men will return to Division One next year and if American based pro's Jake Fearnley and Matt Rankin were to become available that would boost their chances hugely. Top individual performers on the Eastbourne grass were James MacKinlay (12-15) and Scott Duncan (11-15). Jenkins has been a brilliant addition for Northop Hall
Fresh from their triumph against Division Two leaders Ainsdale, Hall are looking forward to their trip to St Helens Town. Jenkins, who returned to the club ahead of the current campaign, took five wickets in the success against Ainsdale and he now has 57 for the season, at an average of just 11 apiece. It was Jenkins and James Hurlin who shared all the wickets last time out and skipper Ben Slater said: 'They bowled really well together. It was a great partnership between them both. They got the 10 wickets between them. 'Carwyn (Johnson) and Fin Jenkins put on a 60-odd partnership. It just shows the depth in the squad. 'They could have batted on for a lot longer. It's one of those, you've got to take a positive approach and they ran well.' Northop Hall Seconds will have home comforts for their meeting with New Brighton Seconds. There's a return to action for Chirk after they sat out last weekend's matches in the Shropshire League. A win will be the aim for Chirk, who pay a Division One visit to Newport. Liam Walker's side could do with a positive outcome, having lost their last four contests. In Division Seven, Chirk Seconds are at home to Harcourt.

Brymbo and Gwersyllt Park up for the cup... and the league!
The rivals will return to 50-over Premier Division action on Saturday, before they face each other on Sunday in a big Welsh Cup showdown. It's Brymbo who will have home advantage for that match-up and the winners will join Colwyn Bay as North Wales' representatives in the quarter-finals. Brymbo skipper Dan Parry is anticipating a tough encounter in the cup and he said: 'They have got dangerous men. The overseas has found his feet. 'They have got a few of our old players in Ryan Collier and Jake James that are very dangerous. 'Then you've got the wily Iroshan de Silva.' As an added bonus, the winners know they will receive home comforts in the last-eight, with Pontarddulais their opponents. It's possible Brymbo could claim the North Wales Cricket League and Welsh Cup crowns before the summer is out, but Parry has stressed: 'I would say don't get too far ahead of ourselves! 'We have still got eight more weeks to go.' Of immediate concern is getting into a 50-over frame of mind on the back of a month of T20 action, with Brymbo returning to the longer format with tomorrow's match-up at home to Denbigh. 'I think it's going to be interesting to see how people are going to tackle the powerplay,' said Parry. 'We have had a bit of a chat about it. It's going to be back to how we were.' Brymbo are expected to make two changes for Saturday's side, with an additional amendment to Sunday's side. Gwersyllt Park will warm-up for their cup derby with tomorrow's trip to tackle Mochdre. With the T20 points now shared out, the race for the Premier Division title has just got a lot tighter.
