CRDA nod for ₹1,052 cr. infrastructure works in Amaravati Govt. Complex area
The 49th meeting of the CRDA (Capital Region Development Authority) chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved the proposal to invite tenders worth ₹1,052 crore for providing infrastructure in 1,450 acres of the Amaravati Government Complex area.
Disclosing the details to the media here on Friday, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister P. Narayana said it was decided to invite tenders worth ₹682 crore to connect the Seed Access Road to National Highway-16.
During a visit to Uttar Pradesh, a study was conducted in Lucknow on how the river bund was constructed there and how their solid waste plants operate. U.P. officials have also expressed willingness to come here to study the solid waste plants, he said.
The Minister said discussions were held with experts regarding the development of the Green and Blue City.
The Government City will house major institutions, including a seven-storey High Court, a 50-storey Secretariat, and four 42-storey HOD (Heads of Departments) towers.
Green-blue capital
It may be recalled that the State government plans to develop Amaravati as India's first green-blue capital, and 30% of Amaravati's area is reserved for greenery and water bodies.
The government aims to meet 30% of its projected 2,700 MW energy demand through solar and wind power. Solar panels will be mandatory on one-third of government buildings. Features include GIS-based land management, smart signage, an ICT command centre, and mobile apps for grievance redressal.
The CRDA has already approved tenders worth ₹1,732.31 crore for constructing residential towers for gazetted and non-gazetted government employees in the core capital area in Amaravati. The key approvals include ₹514.41 crore for completing towers for gazetted officers (originally initiated during 2014–2019), ₹194.73 crore for external infrastructure works, ₹506.67 crore for nine towers for non-gazetted employees, and ₹517.10 crore for constructing 12 additional towers and related amenities.
Additionally, ₹560.57 crore was approved for a 190 MLD water treatment plant, including five years of operations and maintenance, and ₹494.86 crore for overhead water tanks.
In the 47th CRDA meeting earlier, approvals were sanctioned for road infrastructure as well. The authority gave the approval for inviting tenders for a 1.5 km elevated road on the E-3 Seed Axis, a 4.10 km extension to the E-13 road (₹384.78 crore), and a 3.98 km extension to the E-15 road (₹70 crore), all connecting to the national highway.

TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon the party leaders and cadres to prepare for the 2029 elections from now itself, as otherwise, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) would seize the opportunity to garner votes by waging a misinformation campaign, the kind of which it did effectively during 2014-19. The good work done by the TDP during those years came to a naught as the people believed in the machinations of the YSRCP, which went on to set new benchmarks in corruption and push the State backward by 20 to 30 years through its regressive policies and distinct brand of vindictive politics, he said. Rammohan Naidu and Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, State Ministers, MLAs and MLCs as part of the 'Suparipalana - Tholi Adugu' (The First Step in Good Governance) campaign on Sunday, Mr. Naidu said the NDA government in the State has done many good things in the last one year but the task of undoing the damage that had been done by the YSRCP during 2019-24 was far from over, as basically the public debt amounted to a staggering ₹10 lakh crore and the institutions that were undermined, had to be put back on the track one by one. The YSRCP was looking to mislead the people on what had been done by the coalition in the last one year, Mr. Naidu said. Revival of Central aid One conspicuous feature of the YSRCP regime was almost all the 95 Centrally-Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) becoming defunct during its term due to non-payment of the State's contribution, but the NDA government managed to revive 86 CSSs in spite of severe constraints. Attempts to stall Central funding for the construction of the capital city Amaravati was another audacious thing done by the YSRCP with political motives. After thwarting those attempts, the coalition government could garner support for Amaravati in the form of ₹15,000 crore assistance from the World Bank and ADB. Mr. Naidu said the TDP had done social re-engineering on the basis of caste and religion across the different regions and won the trust of voters, who gave the alliance (TDP - Jana Sena Party - BJP) a phenomenal strike rate of nearly 94% in the 2024 elections. The YSRCP spent huge sums to win the elections but had to be content with just 11 seats as the people were vexed with its style of governance, whereas the TDP-led alliance offered a new hope of progress and peace. In the last one year, the NDA government maintained a fine balance between development and welfare, he observed. The Chief Minister further said the YSRCP excelled in misleading people and it was evident from the manner in which the conspirators behind the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder made the whole State believe that the death was due to a heart attack but they could not hide the facts forever. The 'kodi - kathi' incident and the alleged attempt to murder Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy by throwing a stone at him reflected his deceptive mindset. Performance appraisal Mr. Naidu told the party's elected representatives to be accessible to the people and that he was getting real-time updates of their performances, saying that only those working with true spirit of service to the people would be able to win in the 2029 elections. He made it clear that he would not tolerate indiscipline and failure to fulfil the people's aspirations, while pointing out that he was pressing for the demonetisation of currency notes of ₹500 denomination. It would help in curbing the menace of money power in elections to a large extent, he asserted, claiming that the TDP had always used the Central government support for development of the State, be it the crucial role played by it in the formation of the National Front or the United Front governments.

Chittoor district officials gear up for Naidu's Kuppam visit
The Chittoor district administration is gearing up for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's visit to the Kuppam Assembly constituency. While an official schedule is yet to be released, District Collector Sumit Kumar held a meeting with the key officials on Sunday to coordinate arrangements. A press release said that the Chief Minister is likely to stay overnight at his Kuppam residence and take part in multiple public programmes the next day. The visit includes a visit to an anganwadi centre, addressing a public meeting, inspecting exhibition stalls, and distributing financial benefits and assets to the beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes. The District Collector directed municipal and panchayat officials in Kuppam to ensure cleanliness in the municipality of Kuppam and Santhipuram mandal headquarters. During the proposed visit, Mr. Naidu is expected to inaugurate the Digital Nerve Centre (DiNC) at Kuppam Government Hospital, designed and developed with the support of Tata Consultancy Services. Mr. Sumit Kumar instructed the department heads to submit a comprehensive DPR on ongoing development works in the constituency.

Pulsus CEO urges government to establish aviation university, MRO facility, near Bhogapuram International airport
VIZIANAGARAM Pulsus Group Chief Executive Officer, Gedela Srinubabu, on Sunday urged the Union and State governments to establish an Aviation University and a Maintenance-Repairs and Overhaul (MRO) facility adjacent to the upcoming international airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram which is expected to be operational by June, 2026. Addressing the media, he said: 'The proposed University and MRO would boost economic activity in Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam corridor within no time. North Andhra could witness $500 billion in economic activity over the next two decades if the government takes steps to quickly develop the region in tune with its Vision-2047 document approved by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.' He added: 'In the backdrop of the recent plane accidents, the Union government has been prioritising aircraft maintenance. Establishing an MRO facility for planes at Bhogapuram would create thousands of jobs quickly. Skilled man-power will also be available with special training programmes. The establishment of an Aviation University will also pave the way for students in the region to pursue various courses related to aviation. ' Mr. Srinubabu also highlighted other development projects that could transform the region such as pharmaceutical hubs in Vizianagaram-Srikakulam, the construction of sea port at Mulapeta and a cargo airport in Palasa in Srikakulam district, would make North Andhra the best destination for investment. He added: 'The backward tag of the region would be a thing of the past, if the goals of Vision-2047 are achieved in a phased manner. Pulsus group which is involved in health informatics will join hands with the government to conduct training programmes aimed at building skilled manpower in the State.'
