Ryan Lochte is embracing his next chapter amid his ongoing divorce from estranged wife Kayla Rae Reid.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, July 6, Lochte, 40, could be seen wrapping his arms around a new woman, whom he tagged as Molly Gillihan. The pair were smiling as they posed for the camera.
In another photo shared in the carousel, Lochte laughed as he rested his head on Gillihan while in a separate image, the duo laid on the couch with a toddler. Lochte also uploaded a video of a celebratory fireworks display and a group pic, where Gillihan placed her hand around Lochte's chest.
'Daytona Beach weekend! @mollygilli @d_lochte78 @c_lochte22 @lyssapaigeee and my lil niece Isla,' he captioned his post.

Lochte's post comes one month after Reid, 33, announced the pair's divorce. The twosome, who tied the knot in 2018, are parents to Caiden, 7, Liv, 5, and Georgia, 23 months.
'Earlier this year, I made the hard decision to end my marriage after deep prayer and reflection,' Reid wrote via Instagram in June. 'I hold marriage in the highest regard, so this has been one of the most painful, revealing and challenging seasons of my life. I've been hesitant to share until I could do so from a place of healing — not from fresh, open wounds.'
She continued, 'Sometimes we face trials we didn't choose or see coming. And in those moments, we're forced to make the hardest decisions to protect our peace, our children and our future. I've come to understand that staying isn't always the most loving decision someone can make. For me, leaving was an act of love — for those around me and myself.'
The Olympian, for his part, addressed the split in a separate statement and noted that he's 'grateful' for the time he shared with Reid and the life they 'built.'

'Although this decision hasn't been easy, I believe it's the right step toward peace and well-being for us both,' he wrote via Instagram at the time. 'I remain committed to healing, growth and coparenting with care and respect as we move forward separately. Thank you to our family and friends for your continued support. It truly means a lot as we begin this new chapter.'
Shortly after the pair shared their divorce news, Us Weekly obtained court documents revealing that Lochte and Reid have more than $250,000 in debt. Us reached out to Lochte and Reid for comment at the time.
Reid requested primary custody of the kids but noted she was OK with sharing legal custody with Lochte. Reid listed the pair's date of separation as March 7 and noted that their marriage was 'irretrievably broken.' Lochte, for his part, claimed that the twosome split in April and asked the court to set a custody schedule as well as child support.

A'ja Wilson exits game in first half vs. Liberty with wrist injury, will not return

NEW YORK — Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson suffered a right wrist injury in the second quarter of Tuesday's game with the New York Liberty and was ruled out for the game's second half, the team announced. She sustained the injury on a drive to the basket with 4:13 to play in the second quarter and fell hard after attempting a shot over Liberty center Nyara Sabally. Advertisement Wilson remained on the floor for more than a minute, and the entirety of Las Vegas' bench emptied and surrounded her. She was able to walk off the court under her own power and made one of two ensuing free throws. Wilson played less than two more minutes before exiting the game once again. The reigning WNBA MVP, who is set to appear in her seventh All-Star Game next week, sat the final 2:22 of the first half and was not on Las Vegas' bench as the third quarter began. Her pair of free throws from earlier in the game were her only points of the night. Wilson missed all three of her field goal attempts in the first half and finished with four rebounds and two assists. The Aces led 42-40 at halftime. This story will be updated.

Caitlin Clark, Napheesa Collier draft WNBA All-Star rosters, trade coaches

In their first WNBA All-Star Game as honorary captains, Indiana's Caitlin Clark and Minnesota's Napheesa Collier had some fun and generated excitement while drafting their rosters for the contest, with highlights including a little bit of light trash talk, some obvious loyalties in their selections and a coach swap. Advertisement The first round consisted of a four-player draft to round out the starting lineups, while the second round consisted of picking six reserves. Leading off, Clark selected Fever teammate Aliyah Boston with her first pick and followed that up by choosing New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, Las Vegas Aces forward A'ja Wilson and Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally. Collier, meanwhile, picked New York's Breanna Stewart with her first pick and followed that with Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray, Seattle veteran Nneka Ogwumike and fellow UConn star and current Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers. THE STAGE IS SET 🌟 Team Clark and Team Collier have locked in their final rosters for the 2025 @ATT WNBA All-Star Game! Watch them take the court in Indianapolis July 19 at 8:30pm/ET on ABC. — WNBA (@WNBA) July 9, 2025 Collier received the nod to pick first in the second round, choosing Courtney Williams. The rest of her bench consists of Seattle's Skylar Diggins, Chicago Sky second-year forward Angel Reese, Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas, who earned an All-Star nod for her fourth straight season, Sparks guard and 2022 All-Star MVP Kelsey Plum and Atlanta Dream forward Rhyne Howard. Clark's bench is made up of Indiana teammate Kelsey Mitchell, Seattle's Gabby Williams, Washington Mystics rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, Las Vegas' Jackie Young and Golden State's Kayla Thornton. Following their player selections, Clark and Collier agreed to trade coaches. Liberty coach Sandy Brondello, who was originally set to lead Collier's squad, will now coach Clark's team. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve will head Collier's team. The All-Star Game is Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m. at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Clark brought together her Fever trio by taking Boston and Mitchell with her first starter and reserve picks, respectively. Collier not only drafted her Lynx teammate Courtney Williams but also attempted to assemble as many UConn Huskies as possible. She selected four-time national champion Breanna Stewart with her first pick, but then went with Nneka Ogwumike over rookie Paige Bueckers. Clark allowed Bueckers to drop to the end of the first round but got a little payback by taking the final Husky, Gabby Williams, with her second reserve pick. Advertisement Collier also managed to secure her head coach, Cheryl Reeve. Reeve had originally been assigned to Team Clark as the coach with the best record, but the two captains traded to keep the Minnesota crew on one squad. Liberty coach Sandy Brondello will now helm Team Clark. Captains have previously used the All-Star draft as pseudo-free-agency tampering — A'ja Wilson selected Chelsea Gray and Candace Parker with her first picks before the pair joined the Aces — but Clark and Collier were more focused on uniting current teammates than future forecasting. — Sabreena Merchant, women's basketball writer While Clark wore Indiana Fever gear to the draft, Collier went with an Unrivaled shirt. She selected her Unrivaled co-founder, Stewart, first and collected her entire Lunar Owls squad of Gray, Courtney Williams and Diggins. The only player Collier selected who wasn't at least partially affiliated with Unrivaled (Bueckers is already signed for 2026, and Kelsey Plum was scheduled to play before opting to rest during the offseason) was Ogwumike. Meanwhile, Team Clark has seven players who weren't part of the three-on-three league, including Clark herself and Wilson. — Merchant The star sophomores haven't had much of a team rivalry since joining the WNBA, as the Fever have won five of six games against the Sky by an average of 18 points. They were also teammates on Team WNBA during the 2024 All-Star Game. However, this matchup will put the two on more equal footing, though Clark is on her home court. — Merchant

Kevin Durant, Steve Nash reflect on issues that plagued Nets during turbulent run in Brooklyn

Kevin Durant will play for his fifth NBA team later this year. The 2014 league MVP officially became a member of the Houston Rockets over the weekend when the NBA's first seven-team trade was completed. On Sunday, Durant took a moment to look back on his time with the Suns, while also looking ahead to his new chapter in Houston. "Much love to Arizona. Houston, Can't Wait!" concluded a post on X over the weekend. However, during a recent candid discussion with his former coach Steve Nash, Durant looked even further back as he discussed some of the highs and lows of his stint with the Brooklyn Nets. "We had this conversation in Portland, I think, right before a game, and I'm like, 'Who am I spending my next five years with?'" Durant said during a recent edition of the LeBron James and Nash co-hosted "Mind the Game" podcast. "I had just signed that deal. You (Steve Nash) had just signed a deal. But I feel like we were secure, but everything else around us was going to s---. Not in a bad way. We got GMs going to other teams. We got coaches going to other teams. We got players forcing trades. We bring in Ben Simmons. He's back. Like, it was just so much stuff going on. A lot of bulls--- around us." Durant added that while he was on the same page with Nash, there were other factors that contributed to an atmosphere of dysfunction. "I feel like we were locked in on the same page and understand like, well we trying to do something special here," Durant said. "But I felt like your hands were tied a lot because you had to — as a coach you got to deal with so much." Nash acknowledged Durant's point by admitting, "I didn't get to coach as much as I wanted to." Durant responded by suggesting he was robbed of the best version of Nash as a coach. "That's what it was. I think we didn't get the full Steve Nash like I wanted… like you probably wanted. I just felt like it was just too many distractions in the way, and you know, you can't win that way," Durant noted. While Durant summarized his stint with the Nets as "weird," he did speak glowingly of his experience playing for the franchise. "That first year, man, the most fun ball I had. Some of the most fun ball I had playing my whole life," he said. "I enjoyed it. I enjoyed Brooklyn a lot. I loved playing for Brooklyn, but it's just so much around the guys committed to the situation and felt like we were committed, but everybody else wasn't. It just was weird." Durant signed with the Nets in 2019 after three seasons with the Golden State Warriors. He was part of two NBA Finals-winning teams during his time with Golden State, but he suffered an Achilles injury in what became his final season with the team. Durant ultimately appeared in 129 games during his three-year tenure with the Nets. Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X, and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.
