Ariana Grande's grandmother Marjorie Grande, known as 'Nonna', dies at 99
Ariana Grande's grandmother Marjorie Grande, known to fans as "Nonna," has died. She was 99.
"We are devastated to share that the beloved matriarch of our family has passed away," Grande's mother, Joan Grande, wrote in a statement shared to her Instagram Story. Ariana re-posted the image to her own Story, sharing the news with her 375 million followers.
"Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed peacefully in her home and was surrounded by her family and loved ones for every moment of her last few weeks. We thank you for your love, support and for respecting our privacy as we grieve and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life."
Ariana has spoken lovingly and often of her Nonna. At the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, Ariana told a reporter her grandmother was the second person, after her mother, she'd called after learning of her "Wicked" nomination.
Marjorie Grande had a cameo in the last track off Ariana's most recent album, "Eternal Sunshine." In "Ordinary Things (feat. Nonna)," Marjorie advises her granddaughter, "Never go to bed without kissing goodnight. It's the worst thing to do. Don't ever, ever do that. And if you can't, and if you don't feel comfortable doing it, you're in the wrong place. Get out."
Ariana explained in a March 2024 episode of The Zach Sang Show, "The album starts with a question and ends with an answer from a person that I love and trust so implicitly. I cherish what my family has to share with me."

Taylor Swift's Surprise Album Reaches A Major Milestone
Taylor Swift's Folklore celebrates 260 weeks on the Billboard 200, marking five years on the chart ... More and climbing to No. 68 as it hits half a decade. BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 05: Taylor Swift attends the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 05, 2020 in Beverly Hills, California. (Photo by) Taylor Swift shocked the world in the summer of 2020 when she surprise-released her album Folklore in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nobody was expecting a brand new full-length from one of the world's biggest artists, especially as she had recently been promoting her pop set Lover, which had its campaign interrupted by the global shutdown. Folklore was immediately welcomed as both a critical and commercial behemoth, and it went on to win her another Album of the Year Grammy. Half a decade later, the title remains present on several Billboard rankings, and it even reaches a special milestone this time around. Folklore Reaches Half a Decade on the Billboard 200 Folklore advances on the Billboard 200, pushing from No. 77 to No. 68 at the moment. This week marks its two-hundred-and-sixtieth frame on the most competitive albums tally in the United States, which means it has now lived on the roster for exactly five years. Luminate reports that as Folklore reaches the milestone, it moves another 14,000 equivalent units, almost all of which come from streaming activity. Taylor Swift's Sixth Time Hitting This Milestone Five years on the Billboard 200 is a major accomplishment, one that most artists will never approach…but it's something Swift has managed before. Folklore is her sixth project to rack up 260 stays somewhere on the tally. It follows 1989, Reputation, Lover, her self-titled full-length, and Fearless, which have all previously made it to that landmark. Folklore Nearly Ties Fearless At present, Folklore sits just one week behind Fearless in terms of lifespan on the Billboard 200. Fearless is nowhere to be found at the moment, while Folklore continues to live inside the upper half of the list. There's a good chance that next week, Folklore will tie Fearless as Swift's fifth-longest-running success on the Billboard 200. Then, just days later, it also seems plausible that Folklore will pass Fearless — perhaps for good — and continue to add to its cumulative total. Taylor Swift's Cross-Chart Success Folklore reaches 260 weeks not just on the Billboard 200, but also on the Top Alternative Albums chart, where this week it sits at No. 9. The project also climbs a few spots on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums list, jumping from No. 19 to No. 16. Swift's first pivot into the alternative space lags behind in terms of the number of weeks spent on that ranking, as it is almost exactly 100 frames behind its tenure on both the Billboard 200 and Top Alternative Albums rosters.

‘The Voice' Renewed for Season 29 With Format Revamp; Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Adam Levine Returning
'The Voice' is officially set to return for Season 29 at NBC with a format revamp and the coaching lineup set. Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine will all return as coaches for Season 29, which will air in spring 2026. Clarkson will film 'The Voice' and 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' concurrently. More from Variety NBC Orders Cheerleading Comedy 'Stumble' to Series 'Wicked' Special to Feature Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Singing Live, NBC Sets November Date Ahead of 'Wicked: For Good' Kelly Clarkson Postpones Opening of Las Vegas Residency Hours Before Show NBC is calling Season 29 'The Voice: Battle of Champions,' named due to the fact the coaching panel is comprised entirely of 'Voice' winners. Coaches will enter the competition with 10 artists per team. The new season will feature four rounds, each featuring a 'Voice' first. Those are: –Blinds: Coaches compete against each other in the 'Triple Turn Competition' (vying for the most three-chair turns) with the winner gaining a special advantage in the next round. –Battles: The coach with the most three-chair turns automatically earns a 'Super Steal' for the Battles. This can only be used once and trumps any other coach's attempt to steal, guaranteeing a win. –Knockouts: Each coach brings back two fan-favorite artists from their teams in previous seasons to compete in an 'In-Season All-Star Competition.' All-stars represent their former coaches as they battle in head-to-head sing-offs. The coach with the most sing-off wins is guaranteed a second finalist in the finale. For this special episode, coaches call upon original 'Voice' coach CeeLo Green to sit in on the competition and determine the winner of each All-Star Showdown. –Semi-Final and Finale Week: Kicks off with a Top 9 Semi-final and culminates in the Top 4 Finale. For the first time in show history, a new voting block comprised of super fans and past 'Voice' artists will have the opportunity to get in on the fun firsthand, experiencing the competition as part of the in-studio audience voting for their favorites in real time during the semi-finals and finale. Season 28 of 'The Voice' is slated to debut this fall. Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire will serve as the coaches.
