During Anime Expo 2025, Netflix and CD Projekt Red officially announced Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 — a brand-new installment of the acclaimed anime series set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Revealed during the 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners — Behind the Scenes With its Creators' panel, the new season will feature 'an entirely new story, fresh characters, and a raw, realistic take on the most dangerous city of the dark future.' Bartosz Sztybor, story writer and producer of the original series, confirmed the news alongside voice actors Emi Lo (Lucy Kushinada) and Zach Aguilar (David Martinez), host Joey 'The Anime Man' Bizinger, and Edgerunners director Hiroyuki Imaishi. During the panel, fans were treated to exclusive reveals of the official Season 2 logo and poster artwork, according to The Verge. 'David's story might be over, but there's plenty more to discover in Night City,' Sztybor said. A synopsis teases what's to come: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new standalone 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077 — a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.
