The Real Story: Admiration, Not Accusation
A teary-eyed Babil Khan , son of late actor Irrfan Khan , poured his heart out in a video that quickly set social media ablaze. Struggling to hold back tears, the young actor was seen speaking about the shallowness he perceives in Bollywood , calling the industry 'fake' and "screwed," while naming peers like Ananya Panday , Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi Raghav Juyal , Arjun Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, and Arijit Singh. But what many interpreted as a public takedown was, in fact, a misread moment of raw honesty. The clip, stripped of context, led to waves of speculation, clickbait headlines, and online gossip—prompting reactions from those named and a heartfelt clarification from Babil's family.Amid the frenzy, Ananya Panday kept it simple and sincere. She reshared Babil's story and wrote, 'Only love and good energy for you Babil, always in your corner.' Her gesture was subtle, but her message was crystal clear: loyalty over noise.Ananya's cryptic earlier Instagram post quoting Hagrid from Harry Potter — 'What's comin' will come and we'll meet it when it does' — only added to the intrigue. Was it a quiet premonition of the storm ahead? Or an early sign that she already knew context was about to be lost? But it was Siddhant Chaturvedi who came forward with the most direct and emotionally charged response. 'This one's personal,' he wrote, slamming gossip portals and online sleuths for weaponizing vulnerability. 'We love to hate and hate to love — is this what we've come to?'In a strong rebuttal to those fishing for controversy, Siddhant reminded everyone that actors work hard to bring stories alive onscreen. 'Shayad wahan thodi kami reh gai hogi ki aap hamari neeji zindagi mein wo dhoondhne lage ho?' he asked pointedly. His words echoed a truth many in the industry feel but seldom voice — the unrelenting demand for spectacle, even at the cost of someone's mental peace.Raghav Juyal, too, stood by Babil like a protective brother. Reposting the official clarification from Babil's family, Raghav wrote, 'BABIL is my family and I am always with him no matter what.' In a sea of assumptions and armchair judgments, the statement rang like an anchor of reassurance. To douse the wildfire of misinterpretations, Babil's family issued an official statement. 'The video has been widely misinterpreted and taken out of context,' it read. Rather than criticism, they explained, Babil was actually praising the names he mentioned for trying to restore honesty and heart in Bollywood.Their message was one of clarity and compassion: Babil was simply having a difficult day, the kind anyone is entitled to, especially someone carrying the legacy of a beloved actor while carving a path in an industry known for both glamour and grit. What began as a misunderstood monologue was, in reality, an attempt by a young artist to express deep gratitude for those he feels are building something real. Babil had spoken from a place of love — not condemnation. And now, thanks to the clarifications and the strong backing of his friends, that truth is finally coming to light. In an era when narratives are often shaped by viral moments and half-truths, this story is a reminder that not every emotional outburst needs to be dissected, judged, or repackaged into drama.

Gajraj Rao Compares Raanjhanaa AI Ending To Sholay: ‘We Got Lucky Back Then'

While reacting to Varun Grover's take on the AI-altered ending of Raanjhanaa, Gajraj Rao expressed relief that AI didn't exist during Sholay. In the wake of the ongoing dispute about the AI-altered re-release of Aanand L Rai's 2013 film Raanjahanaa, actor Gajraj Rao voiced his concerns over the impact of AI (Artificial Intelligence) on storytelling. He reacted to Varun Grover's video criticising the AI-edited ending of Raanjhanaa, in which he recalled his uncle suggesting a change to the ending of Masaan. Reacting to this, Gajraj Rao humorously remarked that he was glad Ramesh Sippy's uncle didn't have similar thoughts while making Sholay. He further expressed relief that AI was not available back then, or it might have altered the film's memorable moments including Amitabh Bachchan's emotional farewell. He pointed out that AI-generated approach could have ruined some of the best cinematic moments in Bollywood. Soon after Varun Grover shared the reel criticizing Raanjhanaa's AI-altered ending on Instagram, Gajraj Rao shared it to his Instagram stories and wrote, 'Shukr hai, Ramesh Sippy (director of Sholay) saab ke mama ji ke khayalat aise nahi they, aur AI to khair paida hi nahi hua tha, varna Gabbar ka nishaana chook jaata aur Amit ji ka kirdar, duniya ko alvida na kehta…Bach gaye hum log (Thank God, Ramesh Sippy's uncle didn't have such thoughts, and AI didn't exist. Otherwise, Gabbar's aim would've missed, and Amitabh Bachchan's character wouldn't have been able to say 'Alvida' to the world… We got lucky back then)." Check out his Instagram story below! What Did Varun Grover Say About Raanjhanaa's AI-Edited Ending? In the video, Grover humorously recounts his uncle's reaction to the first showing of Masaan. His uncle praised the film but suggested altering the ending to ensure its success. Grover amusingly describes how he had to invent logistical reasons to avoid making such a change, citing a lack of budget, time, and actor availability. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Varun Grover (@vidushak) He then wryly notes that someone else's uncle seemed to have the resources to use AI to edit Raanjhanaa, giving it a happy ending and re-releasing it. 'But apparently, someone else's uncle has enough to AI-edit Raanjhanaa, make it a happy ending, and re-release it. So, whoever's uncle it is, namaste to them," he said. Raanjhanaa AI-Altered Ending Dispute Twelve years after its original release, Aanand L Rai's Raanjhanaa is set to return to theatres in Tamil Nadu as Ambikapathy on August 1, 2025. Promotional posters for Ambikapathy suggest that the film now features an 'AI-powered" alternate ending in which Dhanush's character does not die, deviating dramatically from the original tragic conclusion. Director Aanand L Rai also expressed his disappointment, and said that the film did not need a new climax. He also raised serious concerns about the legal, ethical, and creative consequences of using AI to tamper with films and performances without consulting their original creators or actors.
