The film earned ₹ 2.75 crore as per early estimates on its day 13 since release. With this, the total earnings of the film now stand at ₹ 132.90 crore. However, the earnings saw a slight decline of about 26.67% on Wednesday compared to Tuesday. Sitaare Zameen Par had an overall Hindi occupancy of 10.69% on Wednesday. The occupancy was as follows: The film was also released in Tamil and Telugu. Two weeks after its theatrical release, Delhi NCR continues to lead with the highest occupancy and number of shows. Mumbai holds the second spot, followed by Pune and Ahmedabad. Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna. It also stars Genelia D'Souza alongside 10 neurodivergent actors who marked their debut with the Aamir Khan film. The film team held a special screening in Mumbai on Wednesday. It was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his wife Amruta Fadnavis. The event was organised for specially-abled students. Sitaare Zameen Par is a sequel to the hit movie Taare Zameen Par. Kannappa, the Vishnu Manchu starrer mythological drama, was released on June 27, with high expectations. Despite a good first day collection of Rs 9.35 crore Nett in India across all languages, the film has been facing an uphill climb at the box office. On its first Wednesday, Kannappa minted Rs 1.15 crore Nett in India, as per marking its lowest single-day collection so far. With this, the film's total 6-Day collection comes to Rs 28.65 crore. Looking at the numbers it is expected that the film could end its box office run with around Rs 30-33 crore in India. Although it is not a disaster, it's evident that the film is failing to maintain public interest after its opening weekend. The Vishnu Manchu-starrer has seen a significant drop in the numbers. It opened with Rs 9.35 crore on the first day, followed by Rs 7.15 crore on Saturday and Rs 6.9 crore on Sunday. However, Monday and Tuesday saw a decrease, with Rs 2.3 crore and Rs 1.8 crore respectively. Adding Wednesday's number, the total box office collection now stands at Rs 28.65 crore. Kannappa was released in several languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, although the Telugu version has done the best at the box office till now. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film featured several cameos from some of the biggest stars, including Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal. It also features an ensemble cast including Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Madhoo and Preity Mukhundhan. The film narrates the story of Thinnadu, a tribal hunter who becomes the celebrated Shiva devotee Kannappa. It depicts his transformation from an atheist to one of Lord Shiva's greatest devotees, known for his immense devotion and ultimate sacrifice. Vishnu recently opened up about what went wrong with Kannappa at a press conference in Hyderabad, revealing that some extremely fantastic moments had to be deleted from the film due to poor visual effects (VFX). While the makers initially assured that the film wouldn't release digitally before completing eight weeks in theaters, Thug Life has now ended up making its way to OTT. Years later, after Sakthivel is released from imprisonment, he finds altered dynamics in his kingdom, where a grown-up Amaran is being treated as the next leader. Unbeknownst to Sakthivel, Amaran is manipulated by falsities and hatches a plan to overthrow the former and assassinate him. While the latter initially thinks he is successful in doing so, the former returns with cold revenge against betrayal by someone he considered his own. Cast and crew of Thug Life The film features some of the biggest names in Tamil cinema, including Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Rohit Saraf, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nassar, Mahesh Manjrekar, and more. It is directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by Kamal Haasan himself under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films. AR Rahman has composed the musical score of the movie.
