Sol Phenduka embraces the cringe, laughing off his viral Cassper Nyovest moment
Amidst criticism stemming from a video showing Cassper Nyovest seemingly ignoring him, Sol Phenduka responded on social media by sharing a meme.

Sol Phenduka is trending for a moment he probably wishes we'd all forget.
A viral video shows the "Podcast and Chill" co-host trying - unsuccessfully, might I add - to get rapper Cassper Nyovest's attention during a recent encounter, and let's just say, the vibes were not mutual.
In the now-famous clip, Phenduka appears visibly intoxicated, repeatedly calling out to Nyovest with slurred affection.
'I love you,' he says at one point, arms outstretched like a long-lost friend. Nyovest, however, doesn't flinch; he keeps it moving, not even offering a courtesy nod. Eish.
Mzansi, of course, ran with it. Within hours, timelines were flooded with memes, jokes, and spicy commentary. While some viewers found the moment hilarious, others cringed on his behalf, calling it painful to watch and plenty of side-eyes.
While others found the moment hilarious.
Some even reckon Nyovest's snub was low-key revenge. Fans haven't forgotten a "Podcast and Chill" episode where MacG and Sol discussed the "Mama I Made It" rapper's career.
MacG, who's not afraid to speak his mind, even if it bites him in the a**, called the rapper 'washed up', while Phenduka added his two cents: 'Cassper is capable of better. We're putting the cart before the horse ... South Africans love good music without dance challenges.'
After the backlash, Phenduka did what he does best: leaned into the joke.
He posted a meme video with a man saying, 'I'm taking a break. You're not going to see me here for a long time, but I'll be around.'

At least some tried to encourage the bloke, "Nah ... not necessary bro. It's going to be a long week for you on here, but just mize the trolls and proceed as per normal. Some of us have had many bad weeks here but have mastered the art of mizing," another commented.

Umhlanga actress inspires youth to be the change
Umhlanga actress inspires youth to be the change 'The Changemakers is a non-profit organisation that I started a year ago. It's dedicated to helping people and inspiring others to do the same. I wanted to do my part to bring about real change in our country,' said Sukuram. Sukuram holds a BCom in accounting but her heart has always belonged to the arts, particularly acting. 'I've loved acting since I was a little girl. It allows people to explore different characters and stories, and connect on a deeper level.' While she's made strides in her acting career, becoming the first South African actress to appear in multiple Zee TV series, it's her work with The Changemakers that speaks volumes about her commitment to social justice. Also read: Greenwood Park youth celebrate leadership, diversity One of the organisation's standout initiatives is a gender-based violence awareness campaign launched in 2023. 'We partnered with EnviroSpecSA to visit schools and teach girls self-defence. Self-defence is a vital skill as it empowers girls to protect themselves and gives them confidence.' Balancing a career in entertainment with activism isn't easy, but Sukuram said time management and passion keep her grounded. 'I create a calendar that accommodates both my acting and NPO responsibilities. I prioritise what matters most, whether it's preparing for a role or planning our next outreach.' Youth Month, she said, is a powerful reminder of what young South Africans are capable of. 'To me, Youth Month acknowledges the important role we play in shaping the future. It's about recognising our potential and giving us the tools to lead.' She encourages other young people to speak up and take action in their communities. Watch: Gen Z shares what Youth Day means to them 30 years into democracy 'Use your voice. Use your talents. Whether it's art, music, or leadership, your passion can create change.' Through The Changemakers, Sukuram hopes to continue addressing a range of issues, from GBV to education, and dreams of one day helping thousands of South Africans. She wants it to be an organisation that's known for getting things done, for being effective and impactful. 'You as the youth of South Africa are the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow. Keep pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and striving for greatness. Don't wait for change, be the change.' Victoria Beckham shares update on David's hospital stay
Victoria Beckham has revealed that her husband, former football star David Beckham, was recently hospitalised. The fashion designer shared the news on her Instagram Story, posting photos of David resting in a hospital bed with a blue sling on his right arm. He wore a hospital gown and had wires attached to his chest. 'Get well soon, Daddy,' Victoria, 51, wrote alongside the heartfelt images. Victoria later posted another photo showing David after his discharge. He was comfortably tucked into a plush white bed, holding a friendship bracelet spelling out 'Get well soon.' The couple's fans were quick to send their best wishes. David, 50, also enjoyed BeeUp fruit snacks, a natural honey-sweetened energy treat, during his recovery. Victoria shared this to give a glimpse of his healing process. The Beckhams have not officially disclosed the exact reason for David's hospital stay. However, reports from the Irish Star suggest that David underwent surgery to address a wrist injury dating back to 2003. An X-ray revealed a screw stuck in his forearm from the original operation that had not dissolved properly. A source close to the family told Page Six , 'David's old injury needed attention. The screw caused discomfort, so surgery was necessary.' David and Victoria have shared their marriage since 1999. They share four children: Brooklyn (26), Romeo (22), Cruz (20), and Harper (13). The family has faced some public tensions recently. Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz reportedly missed David's 50th birthday celebrations. Rumours of a family rift grew when Brooklyn found out about his father's knighthood through social media rather than from family members. David Beckham remains a global icon, admired by many South Africans for his football legacy and philanthropic work. His hospitalisation reminds fans of the physical toll that professional sports can take, even years after retirement. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
