Cassie gives birth two weeks after testifying against ex Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Cassie Ventura has welcomed her third child with husband Alex Fine just weeks after testifying at Sean 'Diddy' Combs' high profile trail. The singer already shares two daughters - Frankie, five and Sunny, Four - with Alex, and the couple announced they were expecting a son on social media this Febrary.
The news has now emerged that Cassie has now welcomed her third child. According to sources close to the star, she gave birth on Tuesday at a hospital in New York City. Despite the baby arriving a bit earlier than expected, both mother and child are said to be doing well, TMZ reports.
The Long Way 2 Go singer shared professional back-and-white snaps of her posing with her family as she showed off her baby bump. In one picture, her two young daughters kissed her bump while another showed Alex cradling her belly with his hands.
She kept the caption simple, using just a pregnant woman emoji and the hashtag "#3". At the time, celebrities like Karrueche Tran, Lauren London, Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute, and Ciara expressed their excitement in the comments, the Mirror reports.
On May 27, it was revealed that Cassie was rushed to a hospital in New York after going into labour. A source told TMZ that Cassie was in labour and in the delivery room, having been approximately eight months pregnant when she gave her testimony during the trail.
Cassie's ex-partner, Diddy, is currently facing multiple serious charges, including racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking through force, fraud or coercion and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He has denied all the allegations against him.
Earlier this month, Cassie - who was pregnant with her third child at the time - took to the stands and made some explosive claims about the disgraced rapper.
Following her testimony, Cassie's lawyer, Doug Wigdor, issued a statement on her behalf.
The singers statement read: "This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me.
"For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget. I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support, and I'm grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received.
"I'm glad to put this chapter of my life to rest. As I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy, I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family."
Cassie and Diddy were first romantically linked in 2007 and broke up in 2018. She met the disgraced rapper when she was just 19-years-old and starting off in the music industry, she was an aspiring singer and Diddy signed her to a 10-year contract with his Bad Boy Records label.
She filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023, accusing him of sexual assault and physical abuse.

The child star who played Charlie in Gene Wilder's 1971 hit film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory still makes a small amount of money from the film after choosing a totally different career Child star Peter Ostrum still makes royalties from his role as Charlie in the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 54 years after it was released in 1971. Although Ostrum was one of the classic movie's lead characters, alongside Gene Wilder, he completely turned his back on acting, and instead chose a very different career. Ostrum, now 67, is a retired veterinarian, and is a father of two. He never starred in another film, making his role as Charlie his one and only acting job. In an interview at a screening of the movie at his local Snowtown Film Festival in 2018, he was asked if he makes any money from his short-lived acting career. Due to residuals from screenings of the film on TV, he revealed he gets a cheque for roughly $8 to $9 every few months, despite the Johnny Depp remake making half a billion dollars. It comes after reports Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set for new 'goldmine' offer - but could face issue. During the same interview, he revealed that his wife, Loretta M. Lepkowski, had no idea he had been a small part of Hollywood history when she met him. She said: 'Once I saw it, I realised — 'Wow, he had a major part.'' He spoke about the reception of the movie, which he described as "lukewarm" at the time. Despite having major film star Gene Wilder as the titular character, he said people simply "forgot about it", with it making around $4million at the box office. You can't kill Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... it keeps resurfacing in different formats. 'We had no idea at the time that it would have any kind of success at all so it's pretty neat that it is still so loved. I know my kids have read it and they liked it.' He added: "I have a great affection for the story idea that if you are honest and hardworking and do the right thing, good things happen to you." Although he went on to get an offer for a three-film deal, he turned it down as he hated spending time away from home. Peter said said: 'I enjoyed doing it but I couldn't really see myself doing it for the rest of my life. How many kids carry a successful child acting career into an adult acting career? "The Jodie Fosters and Ron Howards you can count on one hand. I think I just played myself in the film – in real life I am a horrible singer and they told me that they weren't going to use my voice but they did. 'Acting was fine, but I wanted something more steady. The key is to find something you love doing, and that's what I got."

She added: "As someone who's probably not going to have children, it's hard to think about regrets now, because what am I going to regret? "That I sold my house in LA to move to the UK? Well, there's nothing stopping me from moving back to LA. If I regret something, I'll just go back and change it!'
