How do you feel this role is different from the ones you've played before?
I've never played a character who's a mathematics genius and also street smart—a geek, yet streetwise.

He's emotionally mature but struggles to express himself clearly. This contrast, yet the realistic nature of the character, is something completely new to me, and that's what makes it so fun to play.
What excites you about this role?
As I mentioned, the contradictory layers of the character really excite me. I've met people like this in real life. This might be my shot at portraying a multi-layered personality on screen.
Being into fitness, how do you manage time between studies, shoots, and workouts?
It definitely affects your schedule, but you have to find time—either before or after shoots. I don't strictly follow a gym routine. I prefer cycling, swimming, jogging, and weightlifting. When I have late call times or an off day, I make the most of it.

It's not always possible for the story to revolve around just one character. People start assuming things, but I stay focused on the storyline and ignore these rumours," Asit Modi told ETimes. For the unversed, rumours of Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta's exit from TMKOC made headlines last month. It all started after fans noticed that Jethalal and Babita Ji had been missing from the 'Bhootni' plot for a long time. All the members of the Gokuldham society were on vacation in a haunted bungalow. While other characters like Bapu ji, Popatlal, Sodhi and others joined Taarak Mehta and Anjali on this vacation, Jethalal and Babita Ji were missing in action. This left everyone wondering if Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta were planning to quit the show. Previously too, Asit Modi issued a statement and clarified that Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta were still a part of his popular sitcom. 'As you know, social media these days has become so negative that you should try to keep a positive mindset. And Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a completely positive show.
