Zuhair Murad Resort 2026 Collection

Vogue30-06-2025
In Zuhair Murad's world, opulence is always in season. Even so, with Resort the designer pushed it one step further by lavishing jewels on clothing, from piercing-style trimmings and shimmying pearls to winking crescent moon embroidery and straight-up Maharaja grandeur.
Focusing on the intricacies of craftsmanship, the designer reckons, is the best tactic for keeping good vibes flowing in the studio. And, as any jewelry lover can attest, such adornments can also be armor.
Here, Murad drew inspiration from the Orientalist trend of a century ago, arranging color, crystals, embroidery and faux pearls into chokers, sautoirs, baubles and brooches or working them directly into the drape of a dress. Day wear was fair game, too: a blazer might have an integrated scarf with piercings—pearls, charms, crystals, the brand's sunburst logo—running the length of its edge; those elements could also be found on an easy jumpsuit with a panel scarf meant to 'give daywear a touch of evening.'
While many shapes here were familiar, the designer also tried a few new ones, such as balloon-y pants that scrunched at the ankles, or a shantung silk tunic with tie closures, seed pearls and gradient floral embroidery.
A restrained palette of oyster beige, baby's breath pink or black was punched up here and there with sage green or canary yellow, for example on a relatively spare openwork dress. But mostly, this collection was all about jewelry-as-attire. On one dress, a jeweled body harness ran from choker to hips with a sensuality of movement that is lost in a still. A tapestry of gems appeared on a transparent mesh bodysuit that, in some very specific contexts, might conceivably venture out under a jacket in broad daylight but will come into its own by night.
Murad does know when to pull back, however. A pink dress, for example, stood out for its simplicity, embellished with nothing more than fan pleating. Asymmetrical lace placements brought lashings of sheer to otherwise unembellished dresses. A couple of georgette dresses with contrasting lace inlay, and another number in Italianate print made room for a little more romance.
New accessories included brooches designed to wear on jacket lapels, as halter ties, or as embellishments on goddess gowns in jersey. Resort means ready-to-wear, but couture ideas are always in the mix— and what is couture but a space to dream? In an uncertain world, it's as good a coping mechanism as any.

She told Travel + Leisure, "It's all near and dear to me — it's like having kids — you have some [that are] prettier than others, but you love them all and you think they're all pretty, right? I love everything about the park, so it's hard for me to pick out one particular thing."

Philipp Plein Resort 2026 Menswear Collection

'When there's a crisis in fashion, brands usually tone down, but some people are still looking for our maximalism and consistency.' So said Philipp Plein over a Zoom call from his villa in Cannes. For resort, he zeroed in on geometric tattoos as inspiration, looking at different artists and old-school aesthetics and translating them into prints, which resulted in a collection of what the designer deemed 'Philipp Plein classics; not too experimental, always very wearable.' Symmetrical tattoo prints were laser-etched on denim trucker jackets and jorts, while shirts had playful, subtle details like skull-shaped buttons. One big novelty was the introduction of bright colors, like the suit and crocodile-printed leather bomber in shiny orange, which contrasted with the earthy tones of sand and chocolate brown. Colorful varsity jackets bore the names of cities where Plein has stores, and denim played a starring role on casual and tailored separates, double-breasted coats, and even duffle bags. Sleek black tailoring decorated with studs in the shape of stars or with multicolored tattoo-inspired patches, and biker jackets almost fully studded in contrasting silver or matte black studs, with intricate embroideries of tattoos, rounded out the collection.

Pair These Autumn Winter Boots To Your Summer Mini Dress For A Cool Girl Outfit Recipe

Summer may not be over yet, but I've already got one eye keenly set on Autumn's sartorial horizon. As the heatwave abates, knee high boots and chore jackets are singing their siren song, though, I'm not quite ready to give up my summer dresses yet. Thankfully, according to Alexa Chung, I don't need to. The broadcaster and style icon has worn multiple iterations of a knee high boot (namely Celine's patent version) plus nightie mini dress (Dôen's Cecilia dress in particular) outfit recipe over summer and I find it very charming. Hero-ing a key trend of the summer - the nightie dress - and adding a 1960s, Françoise Hardy-esque vibe with the boots, Chung ensured her flimsy minis could withstand the every-changing Great British summer. I tried the combination myself, wearing a vintage nightdress I've had shortened with my Dear Frances boots, adding a vintage Mulberry bag and an &Daughter vest for the temperate weather. Chloé's recent Resort collection also features a similar look - with a pair of brown, over-the-knee, heeled boots styled with a silk, lace-trimmed slip-style nightie dress. The pairing is an easy way to make your nightie mini work harder: extending its life from summer into autumn and offering a more polished feel.
