USA Todaya day ago
With 57 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 57.
We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals and are less than nine weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 57 days away.
As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let's look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals.
Who has worn No. 57?
Cardinals players to wear No. 57
No. 57 is unused currently in 2025. It hasn't been used in a couple of years.
This has not been a number of much consequence. McKinnon was very good for a while and Arneson was good in the 70s, but it isn't a number that has made much historic impact.

Arizona Cardinals to face 2 of NFL's top OTs in 2025

The Cardinals will avoid most of the NFL's top tackles in 2025 As NFL training camp approaches for most NFL teams (the Los Angeles Chargers reported on Saturday), sites continue to publish lists, rankings and predictions. ESPN has been revealing player rankings at different positions, but with a twist. They are based on the votes of coaches, scouts and executives. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler revealed the rankings for the offensive tackles— the top 10 and several honorable mentions. Neither Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson nor right tackle Jonah Williams made the top 10 or received honorable mention, but Johnson did get votes in the top 10. The Cardinals avoid most of the top tackles in the league in 2025. Of the top 10, they face only two, although they face two of the top four. They also will face a pair who received honorable mention NFL top OTs: Arizona Cardinals 2025 opponents Wirfs required offseason knee surgery and will start the season on PUP. By the time the Cardinals and Bucs play, he should be in good shape. The Cardinals have an upgraded edge presence this year, adding Josh Sweat and getting BJ Ojulari back from a torn ACL. The combination of avoiding most of the league's top tackles and an improved pass rush should mean good things for the Cardinals in 2025. 2025 Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: CB Jaylon Jones

We will preview every player on the Cardinals roster leading up to training camp. This is about CB Jaylon Jones. The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team. Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2024, questions they face and their roster outlook. Next up is cornerback Jaylon Jones. Jaylon Jones background, 2024 season An undrafted free agent from Ole Miss with the Bears in 2022, Jones became a free agent on March 12 when he wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent. He was signed by the Cardinals nine days later. He played eight games with one start last season, but was placed on injured reserve Nov. 7 with a shoulder injury and missed the remainder of the season. The injury occurred in a Week 9 game against the Cardinals in State Farm Stadium. In those eight games, Jones played 76 defensive snaps (15 percent) and 140 (66 percent) on special teams. On defense, he had 10 tackles (nine solo) with two passes defensed, while adding five tackles on special teams, which tied for seventh on the team. In the game he was injured, Jones played 16 special-teams snaps (57 percent). Jaylon Jones 2025 contract details, cap hit Jones signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals worth $1.2 million and included a $50,000 signing bonus. His salary-cap charge is also $1.2 million. 2025 questions, roster outlook It feels like a broken record analyzing the numerous cornerbacks vying for spots in a crowded cornerbacks room. Jones is another. He has experience with the Bears, which could help him as he tries to earn a roster spot that will likely depend on special-teams production.
