Raised wooden planter at 'just the right height to avoid back pain' gets £40 price slash
Many people enjoy bringing their garden a new lease of life by planting colourful flowers and plants and growing their own fruit and veg. While this is a hobby that requires determination and patience, it boasts a range of fruitful rewards.
However, as vibrant as the garden may look, the tasks required can lead to a lot of back ache as gardeners are constantly kneeling down and bending over to tend to their favourite plants. If this is something gardeners are struggling with, it may be worth considering buying a raised planter to ease the pain.
Over on Yimbly, which is owned by Daily Record's parent company Reach Plc, the shopping marketplace has dropped the price of the VegTrug Raised Wooden Planter by £40. Normally retailing for £199.99, garden lovers can now buy this sturdy plant bed for £159.99.
Crafted from 100 per cent fsc-certified cedar wood, this medium classic sized planter is said to 'elevate your gardening game'. Treated in a water-based preservative, this planter was built to withstand the elements and be a sturdy home for your new plants.
As well as having six plastic feet covers for extra durability, the planter is said to be 'breeze to assemble' from a flat pack and is the ideal solution for those who have limited gardening areas.
Additionally, the planter is raised to an ergonomic working height to help ease any aches and pains while working. With a massive 420L soil capacity, gardeners will be able to use the space for a variety of different crops as the 'v' shape design allows for a mixed cultivation of deep-rooted and shallow-rooted produce.

Product Description
The planter also comes with a pre-formed liner that helps promote soil health and aeration, as well as gradually bio-degrading.
With dimensions of H80 x W183.4 x D76 cm, this planter offers hassle-free maintenance and is available in either a natural or grey colour to seamlessly blend in with the garden's aesthetic.
Alternatively, Amazon has reduced the price of the Outsunny Wooden Raised Garden Bed. Normally retailing for £63.99, shoppers can now snap up the planter for £56.68. Able to hold 99L of soil, the planter is said to be long and deep enough to allow plants and veg to breathe and grow healthily.
Over on B&Q, the retailer is selling the Silver Oval-Shaped Metal Raised Bed for £124.99. Crafted with durable galvanised steel, this flower bed was designed to resist rust and corrosion. Easy to assemble, this planter is said to be perfect for flowers, herbs and small vegetables.
Back to the VegTrug planter, some shoppers have praised the bed for its easy assembly and how it has helped gardeners with back ache. However, some reviewers had contrasting opinions about the delivery service.
One five-star reviewer simply wrote: "Very good service and nice product." With another adding: "Absolutely brilliant. Well made, very simple to put together, everything you need is included. Looks very nice too."
However, it should be noted that a few shoppers complained about the delivery time of the wooden planter and having to be available at home within a delivery window. Additionally, one shopper reported the planter had been damaged upon arrival.

It offers a compact design with a large 7.5L capacity serving up to eight people. Air fryers have fast become a kitchen staple for their speed, simplicity, and energy-saving benefits. And now, one of Tefal's top-rated models, praised as "easy to use" and a genuine source of "convenience", is available at a significant discount. The Tefal Easy Fry Mega Air Fryer is now priced at just £63.99 on Amazon, down from £139.99, a 54 percent price cut on this extra-large capacity model. Finished in grey, this compact but high-capacity appliance boasts a 7.5L cooking space, enough to serve up to eight people, making it ideal for families or batch cooking. Despite its size, the design is surprisingly space-saving, and it comes with eight preset cooking programs, one manual mode, and a rotary knob for precise control over time (up to 60 minutes) and temperature (from 80C to 200C). In addition to its large basket and ease of use, the Tefal Easy Fry Mega Air Fryer is also energy-efficient, with tests showing it uses up to 65 percent less energy and cooks up to 37 percent faster than a traditional oven when preparing frozen fries. The basket is dishwasher-safe, and Tefal promises 15-year reparability with parts available at over 6,200 global centres, a strong selling point for anyone thinking long term. If you're exploring other air fryer options, the Tower T17182 7.2L Air Fryer is available at £60 on Argos and offers similar capacity and functionality with a sleek black finish. Another option is the more advanced Ninja 6-in-1 Dual Zone Air Fryer 7.6L, currently £129.99, down from £199.99. While pricier, it allows for dual-zone cooking and boasts strong reviews, but if it's the Tefal air fryer's simplicity and size you're after, this model remains a popular pick with a 4.7-star rating from 357 reviews. One user said: "Clean, convenient and quick, this little fryer has made a big difference to the convenience of my life in a very short time… I'm very pleased by the taste and texture of meals produced by this excellent little gadget." However, some reviews were less enthusiastic. "Airfryer is great, works well and cooks well too. My only issue is that the screen has a ton of scratches all over it… disheartened." Another user praised its beginner-friendly design: "This is my very first air fryer… it looks smart, is quiet and is very easy to operate. It cooks superbly well and cleaning isn't a chore." Amazon reduces price of ‘stylish' and ‘powerful' £100 smartwatch to £23
The watch has a range of impressive features, including 3D full touch and step counting Great news for tech fans: Amazon has slashed the price of an 'impressive' smartwatch that customers describe as 'stylish and functional.' While the online giant's recent Prime Day sale may officially be over, it has left a treasure trove of bargains still available. The Soudorv smartwatch has plummeted from its original £99.99 price tag to £23.74. This timepiece boasts an extensive array of capabilities, including 3D full touch technology, step counting, stroke monitoring, sleep tracking, alarm functionality, sedentary reminders, remote photography control, and music management. Wearers can also conduct and receive phone calls, record conversations, and monitor weather conditions, reports the Daily Record. The device doubles as a fitness companion, offering over 100 exercise modes, magnetic charging, app notification alerts, and extended battery performance. For shoppers happy to avoid the big names of smart watches like Apple and Samsung, there are plenty of good deals available currently. Shoppers can snap up the Reflex Active Series 12 Smartwatch for £29.95 from Currys. Otherwise, H. Samuel has the Sekonda Flex Rose Gold Tone Bracelet Smartwatch for £65, while Argos has the Fitbit Charge 6 Fitness Tracker for £99. Meanwhile, the Amazon timepiece has garnered glowing feedback from users, earning a stellar 4.9-star rating. One satisfied customer commented: "Stylish and functional. Impressive smartwatch with great features at a great price." A second reviewer said: "This is a great watch for daily use. It is light, comfortable, and looks nice on the wrist. The screen is clear, and the touch response is smooth and effective. I use it to track my steps, monitor my heart rate, and assess my sleep quality. It's also waterproof, so I don't have to take it off when washing my hands. "The battery lasts a few days, which is very good. It connects easily to my phone, and I can see messages and calls right on the watch. It's good for men and women. It's simple, smart and very useful for the price." Another customer said: " Sleek and powerful. This smartwatch combines sleek design with powerful features like fitness tracking, notifications, and heart rate monitoring. The touchscreen is responsive, and the battery lasts well for daily use. It's a great companion for staying organised and active on the go." However, not all customers were completely satisfied. One unimpressed buyer said: "The strap broke after three weeks, so it's now unusable. Can't send it back as it's a week after the return date." Another customer, while generally happy, did encounter a hiccup: "Only minor issue was syncing it with the app at first, but it's been smooth since." Despite these issues, many continued to sing the praises of the watch. A satisfied shopper commented: "This ladies' smartwatch fitness tracker is easy to use and looks beautiful. It helps track your steps, heart rate, sleep, and more to keep you healthy. "The design is simple and stylish, perfect for everyday wear. The battery lasts a long time, and the app is easy to understand. Overall, it's a great choice for women who want to stay fit and look good too." Another satisfied customer said: "Very nice watch. I am amazed by this watch. It's packed with amazing features, and the build quality is exceptional. I am really happy with it. The readings are pretty accurate, and the battery life is so good."

Health fans praise 'fantastic' kitchen gadget that uses little to no oil or butter
The device can be used to sear meats and make omelettes, toasties, pancakes and more Health kicks are praising Drew & Cole's 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe for helping them to stay on track at mealtimes. The hot plate-style gadget can cook everything from fluffy omelettes to juicy burgers and golden toasties. Drew & Cole's 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe is £49.99 on Yimbly (a marketplace owned by The Mirror's parent company, Reach Plc). Throughout July, consumers can drive the price down further using the discount code SUMMERDAYS10. The offer reduces the price to £44.99. The 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe can also be purchased on Littlewoods for £46.99, where prospective buyers can find upwards of 1,000 ratings and reviews. The gadget is built with three easy-to-change plates, including an omelette plate, a grill plate for paninis and meats, and a waffle plate. The plates are non-stick, so owners can reduce the amount of oil or butter they use when cooking. Yimbly also sells a cheaper version of the CleverChef for £29.99 (£26.99 with the discount code SUMMERDAYS10 applied); however, this version does not come with interchangeable plates. It is cheaper to buy on Amazon, where it is priced at £24. Alternatively, Currys offers the famous George Foreman Flexe Grill for £59.99. It requires little to no oil and has a built-in drip tray to collect any extra fat. One Littlewoods reviewer left a detailed review for Drew & Cole's 5-Minute Cleverchef Deluxe, saying: "This little monster is so good I have bought a second one. I absolutely love it. Omlettes are a breeze and those toasties. Just so crispy. "It helped me out so much when my mum was in the late stages of her life. She wouldn't eat, but if I asked if she wanted a baby omlette, she knew what it was and always said yes, it was the one thing she always ate. Thanks for making a little machine that did so much good in the end. Highly recommend this little machine." An additional shopper was underwhelmed with the device, writing: "It's okay, but not quite what I expected. It's a bit small, and it doesn't cook well." A third added: "I bought this grill for portion control as I'm on a diet. This is absolutely perfect. It makes a fantastic omelette and cooks a cheese toastie to perfection (all I've tried so far, as I'm addicted to the omelette). "It's so easy to use and clean. I'm really pleased." Another alternative to Drew & Cole's Cleverchef Deluxe is Ninja's Sizzle Pro XL Grill & Flat Plate, which costs £179.99. The wide grill surface fits up to ten burgers, chicken (breast, thigh or leg) or salmon fillets. It is intended for outdoor cooking only.
