Many people enjoy bringing their garden a new lease of life by planting colourful flowers and plants and growing their own fruit and veg. While this is a hobby that requires determination and patience, it boasts a range of fruitful rewards.
However, as vibrant as the garden may look, the tasks required can lead to a lot of back ache as gardeners are constantly kneeling down and bending over to tend to their favourite plants. If this is something gardeners are struggling with, it may be worth considering buying a raised planter to ease the pain.
Over on Yimbly, which is owned by Daily Record's parent company Reach Plc, the shopping marketplace has dropped the price of the VegTrug Raised Wooden Planter by £40. Normally retailing for £199.99, garden lovers can now buy this sturdy plant bed for £159.99.
Crafted from 100 per cent fsc-certified cedar wood, this medium classic sized planter is said to 'elevate your gardening game'. Treated in a water-based preservative, this planter was built to withstand the elements and be a sturdy home for your new plants.
As well as having six plastic feet covers for extra durability, the planter is said to be 'breeze to assemble' from a flat pack and is the ideal solution for those who have limited gardening areas.
Additionally, the planter is raised to an ergonomic working height to help ease any aches and pains while working. With a massive 420L soil capacity, gardeners will be able to use the space for a variety of different crops as the 'v' shape design allows for a mixed cultivation of deep-rooted and shallow-rooted produce.

Over on B&Q, the retailer is selling the Silver Oval-Shaped Metal Raised Bed for £124.99. Crafted with durable galvanised steel, this flower bed was designed to resist rust and corrosion. Easy to assemble, this planter is said to be perfect for flowers, herbs and small vegetables.
Back to the VegTrug planter, some shoppers have praised the bed for its easy assembly and how it has helped gardeners with back ache. However, some reviewers had contrasting opinions about the delivery service.
One five-star reviewer simply wrote: "Very good service and nice product." With another adding: "Absolutely brilliant. Well made, very simple to put together, everything you need is included. Looks very nice too."
However, it should be noted that a few shoppers complained about the delivery time of the wooden planter and having to be available at home within a delivery window. Additionally, one shopper reported the planter had been damaged upon arrival.
