When Gwyneth Paltrow Called Brad Pitt's Taste In Women ‘Terrible'

News183 days ago
Brad Pitt was already an established name in the industry when he began dating Gwyneth Paltrow.
A new biography titled Gwyneth: The Biography, which was released on July 29, has given more insights into the actress and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow's relationship with Brad Pitt. The two dated for four years in the 1990s and were even engaged for a year before they decided to walk separate ways. The book's author, Amy Odell, claimed that 18 months into the relationship, the actress would often visit her makeup artist, Kevyn Aucoin, to unload.
Brad and Gwyneth used to be one of the most talked-about couples in the industry in the '90s. But behind their glamorous appearances, all was not well. As reported by Page Six, the author claimed in the biography that the Fight Club was not very happy about his then-girlfriend's success. Citing an unnamed source, the author mentioned that Brad 'seemed to feel threatened by her success and all the attention she received."
When the duo was dating, Brad was already among the top names in the industry. With hits like 12 Monkeys and Legends of the Fall, he was a star, but Gwyneth's popularity was also skyrocketing.
Amy Odell also wrote that Gwyneth would often go to her then-makeup artist and 'cried about Pitt multiple times." And the latter's only response to her was that she should 'end" things with Brad, suggesting it was not healthy.
How Long Did Brad Pitt And Gwyneth Paltrow Date?
The two stars began dating after meeting in 1994 on the sets of the crime thriller Se7en, directed by David Fincher. Brad was immediately captivated by Gwyneth's personality. In an interview with Rolling Stone back then, the actor shared, 'I knew immediately, I'll tell you that much. I got within 10 feet of her, and I got goofy. I couldn't talk."
Within two years of their relationship, the Ocean's Eleven actor had popped the question to his girlfriend, and she answered with a yes. They got engaged in 1996. That year, while receiving his award for the Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes, he thanked Gwyneth and even called her 'my angel" and 'the love of my life." In 1997, the two called off their engagement.
When Gwyneth Paltrow Was 'Sad' Over Brad Pitt's Marriage To Jennifer Aniston
Following his break-up with Gwyneth, Brad started dating the Friends star Jennifer Aniston in 1998. He proposed to her in 1999, and they got married in Malibu on 29 July 2000. Their marriage lasted five years. Back when he was getting married, Gwyneth felt 'sad", as revealed by the author of her biography.
'Gwyneth confided to friends that she'd felt sad when she learned they were getting married. She was also fond of telling them that Brad 'has terrible taste in women,'" Amy mentioned in her book.
Following her split with Brad, she briefly dated Ben Affleck. In 2003, Gwyneth married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, with whom she has two children, Apple and Moses. The duo got divorced in 2014 after more than a decade of marriage. And since 2018, she has been married to producer Brad Falchuk.

Fast Song Out: Demi Lovato Returns To Pop Music, Releases First Single In Three Years

Last Updated: Demi Lovato released her first single in three years, Fast, returning to pop after her rock album 'Holy Fvck'. She teased it on social media; her new album is expected this year. Demi Lovato has released her first new single in three years. The singer dropped the electro-pop track Fast on Friday, August 1, after she previously declared she was ready to return to her pop roots after dabbling with a rock sound on her last album Holy Fvck. As she teased the new single in posts on social media, Demi told fans: 'My pop music coming back to life after we had a funeral for it." The singer previously held a 'funeral" for her pop sound by sharing a picture of herself and her team dressed in black with Demi holding up her middle finger to the camera. She captioned the snap: 'A funeral for my pop music". Rolling Stone magazine recently reported Demi would be embracing pop again on her next project, with the publication suggesting the album – which will be her ninth studio record – is expected to be released later in the year. She has been working on her new music with songwriter/producer Zhone, who told Rolling Stone they had a lot of fun in the studio together while making the new record. He said: 'It's been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout." A source added to the publication: 'Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun. She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track." Demi – who married her fiance Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes in May – previously admitted she was still 'figuring out" her sound for the new album but was working on a number of love songs. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last year, Demi explained, 'It's true. I'm working on new music. I'm kind of figuring out my sound right now. I don't know when it'll come out but it'll come out when I'm ready." The host then asked his guest if it would be a max of 'happy songs and sad songs" and she replied, 'I tend to write from the place that I am in in the moment. Because it's actually been like… it's been amazing. I've been writing nothing but love songs and sexy songs because I'm in this really good place. It feels good to be able to write coming from that place." view comments First Published: August 02, 2025, 15:57 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. ‘Dark cloud of Meghan Markle': Ex-BFF Jessica Mulroney regrets royal wedding role that ‘blew up' her life

Meghan Markle's now-estranged best friend Jessica Mulroney doesn't exactly look back on their friendship fondly, in fact, she might just be hating it now. As per a Daily Mail report, Jessica believes the controversy that nearly derailed her career and shoved her out of the spotlight might never have happened if she hadn't been part of Meghan and Harry's 2018 wedding. Years later, with her 16-year marriage to Ben Mulroney over, she's back in the news, and now reportedly calling that royal friendship one of her biggest regrets. She was dropped by brands, stepped away from TV, and went into full damage-control mode. Her husband, Ben Mulroney, then a well-known Canadian TV host, also quit his job to support her. Insiders now say that Jessica's fame, exposure, and the constant media glare blew the controversy out of proportion, something that might've faded quietly had she not been linked to Meghan. 'If she could go back, a part of her wishes she was never in Meghan and Prince Harry's 2018 wedding,' a source said. 'While she enjoyed all the attention back then, that same exposure is what made the social media fallout explode, leading not just to the end of her friendship with Meghan, but also the breakdown of her marriage.' Jessica once claimed they were still close, even after the scandal, and called Meghan 'kind.' But now, she reportedly sees that entire chapter of her as a 'dark cloud.'
