Amazon slashes $120 off the popular JBL Boombox 3, making it even more appealing
Firstly, with a width of 19 inches, a height of 10.1 inches, and a depth of 7.9 inches (48.2 x 25.7 x 20.0 cm), it's one big fella—easily landing in the 'large, portable player' category. Thanks to its size, though, it houses one subwoofer, two midrange drivers, and two tweeters, delivering powerful audio perfect for parties and huge gatherings.
$120 off (24%)
The JBL Boombox 3 in Camouflage is now selling for $120 off on Amazon. This lets you get one for just under $380. The speaker offers powerful sound, has great durability, and is a must-have at its current price. Save while you can! Buy at Amazon But it gets even better! You can pair it with another JBL speaker via its PartyBoost feature for an even more boombastic sound experience. Plus, with the built-in EQ in the JBL Portable companion app, you can fine-tune the audio to match your preferences.Another feature we like about this bad boy is its superb durability. With a robust IP67 rating, it's dustproof and water-resistant, so you can bring it along to the beach, to the park—wherever. And with up to 24 hours of listening time on a single charge, you won't worry that it will die on you during your gathering. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, though. There's one thing we don't love about the JBL Boombox 3—its price. Granted, you do get a lot, but at $500, it feels a bit steep in our books. Fortunately, Amazon has slashed $120 off the cost of the model in Camouflage color. This allows you to treat yourself to one for just under $380—a bargain price for everything it brings to the table.
We don't know how long this promo will last, so if the JBL Boombox 3 fits the bill for you—don't miss out! Tap the offer button in this article and save big now!

Faster charging speeds for some iPhone 17 models hinted at in new photos
With the unveiling of the iPhone 17 series roughly five weeks away, leakster (to coin a term) Majin Bu says that one of his sources has sent him photographs of the iPhone 17 Pro battery inside a stainless steel case. Two different versions of the battery case were revealed. One is for the U.S. market and the other for the Chinese market. The U.S. version has a smaller "L-shaped" cutout compared with the cutout on the Chinese variant of the stainless steel battery case. The Chinese version of the steel battery case also differs from the U.S. version because of its ability to host a SIM tray. Starting with the iPhone 14 series in 2022, new model iPhone units sold in the U.S. are not equipped with a physical SIM tray. The U.S. version of the stainless steel battery case is also wider. Photo of the stainless steel battery case for the U.S. iPhone 17 Pro. | Image credit-Majin Bu Majin Bu notes how the battery case in both variations comes with a welded edge, and Apple will use new adhesives to make replacing the battery easier. The"leakster" also believes that the steel case indicates that the new iPhone 17 Pro models will have a better grip on thermal management for charging at faster speeds. Apple is way behind when it comes to fast charging, especially compared to some of the outrageous charging speeds available on some phones made by Chinese firms such as Xiaomi, vivo, and realme. Photo of the stainless steel battery case for the Chinese version of the iPhone 17 Pro. | Image credit-Majin Bu Some of the fastest charging phones can completely replenish the battery in tens of minutes. Apple, worrying about the cumulative effects of fast charging on the longevity of the battery, and the amount of heat such charging speeds generate, is too conservative when it comes to fast charging. In addition to doing a better job of managing heat dissipation, the stainless steel battery cases are more durable and less prone to puncture than the previously used "soft packs." The latter held the battery cells in a pouch made of a thin, flexible foil-like material and are prone to accidental punctures, which makes it harder to replace the phone's battery. Thus, the new stainless steel cases should make battery replacement easier. The "soft packs" weigh less than the stainless steel battery cases, and takes up less room. But the stainless steel cases are not only more durable, they also do a better job of dissipating heat. Apple first tested the stainless steel battery case with last year's iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro Max came with a "soft pack" battery case. According to Majin Bu, besides the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, we could see the stainless steel battery case employed on the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air.

Deals: Moto Razr prices drop to compete with the Z Flip7 and FE, Galaxy S25 series also discounted
Samsung launched its next generation of foldables last week, but they are not without competition. Google will unveil the Pixel 10 Pro Fold (and the rest of the Pixel 10 series) on August 20 to compete with the Z Fold. Meanwhile, the two Z Flip models have to go up against Motorola's Razrs right now. The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 carries a $200 discount, which evens out with the free storage upgrade on the Galaxy Z Flip7, making the 512GB models cost the same - $1,100. The Razr Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the Galaxy has a Samsung Exynos – yes, even in the US this time. The 7.0' inner display of the Moto stands out with a slightly higher pixel density, higher brightness (4,500 nits vs. 2,600 nits), Dolby Vision support and higher refresh rate (165Hz vs. 120Hz). The cover displays are more evenly matched – 4.0' 165Hz 3,000 nits vs. 4.1' 120Hz 2,600 nits for the Moto and Samsung, respectively. The main cameras on both phones have 50MP sensors with 1.0µm pixels and f/1.8 lenses with OIS. The Motorola has the better ultra-wide (50MP vs. 12MP) and selfie cameras (50MP vs. 10MP), however. It also has a bigger battery (4,700mAh vs. 4,300mAh) with faster charging (68W wired, 30W wireless vs. 25W/15W). Both phones have the same IP48 rating, but the Razr Ultra is chunkier – it is 15.7mm folded, 7.2mm unfolded and weighs 199g, while the Z Flip7 is 13.7mm folded, 6.5mm unfolded and weighs 188g. We'll leave the choice between Hello UI and One UI to you. Motorola also refreshed the 2024 flagship as the Razr+ 2025. It gets the better ingress protection (IP48) and some new colors, but that's about it. You are still looking at a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 phone with 6.9' main (165Hz, Dolby Vision, 3,000 nits) and 4.0' cover displays and a 4,000mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. Unfortunately, the current discount is not very favorable – if you're spending near $1,000, you may as well spend a bit more and get a proper flagship. Motorola Razr+ 2025 $50 off Read our review 12/256GB - $950 at Amazon US Instead, have a look at the Motorola Razr 2025, the actual budget option this year. It's only $600 and measures up to the Razr+ 2025 pretty well in most categories except for the chipset – the Dimensity 7400X is well behind the Snapdragon in terms of performance. Motorola Razr 2025 $100 off Read our review 8/256GB - $600 at Amazon US The 2025 vanilla model is a fairly minor upgrade over the Motorola Razr 2024. The Dimensity 7400X is essentially an overclocked 7300X and the IP4X ingress protection only guards against large particles (1mm), not dust. So, you may be tempted to save $100 and go for the 2024 model, but be warned – it will only get 3 OS updates and 4 years of security patches. Considering that it launched with Android 14 and the Android 16 update should be coming soon, leaving you with only 1 OS update to go. At least security patches will keep rolling in until 2028. Motorola Razr 2024 $100 off Read our review 8/256GB - $500 at Amazon US Both of these phones are competing against the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. Itself a sort of re-release of a 2024 model, this one uses the Exynos 2500 – it's better than the Dimensity 7300X/7400X, but for this price you may be better off with the Razr+ and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The Z Flip7 FE has that weirdly-shaped 3.4' cover display, a smaller 6.7' inner display and a smaller 4,000mAh battery with 25W/15W charging. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE Read our review 8/256GB - $960 at Amazon US At this point you should be well familiar with the Galaxy S25 series, so we'll go over them quickly. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is $300 off, so the base 12/256GB model starts at $1,000. The thin and light Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is also $300 off, but note that only the 512GB variant is in stock. With a price of $920, it's $200 cheaper than the 512GB S25 Ultra. Check out our Galaxy S25 Edge vs. S25 Ultra article if you need help deciding between these two. The Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 just don't have particularly impressive discounts at the moment – the vanilla model especially. If you're looking at the Plus, make sure to check out our S25+ vs. S25 Edge article for a detailed comparison since they both cost practically the same at the moment. Samsung Galaxy S25+ $170 off Read our review 12/512GB - $950 at Amazon US Samsung Galaxy S25 $80 off Read our review 12/256GB - $780 at Amazon US Leaving the world of Android behind, let's wrap up with some MacBooks. This year Apple refreshed the MacBook Air 13.6' and 15.3' models with the M4 chip and an improved 12MP Center Stage camera (borrowed from the Pros). There are several RAM and storage configurations to choose from with the base 12/256GB 13.6' model starting at $800 and the 15.3' one starting at $1,000 after a $200 discount for both. The Apple MacBook Pro 14.2' and 16.2' come with a mix of M4 chips and even more options for RAM and storage. The Pro displays are sharper and have double the brightness (1,000 nits), plus they are ProMotion displays, i.e. they run at 120Hz instead of 60Hz. They are slightly larger too, but the Air laptops are thinner and lighter. We may get a commission from qualifying sales.

I find the Garmin Vivoactive 5 a no-brainer for budget-conscious shoppers at $110 off
Though I'm more of a Galaxy Watch fan, I'm a bargain hunter first. And as someone who's constantly on the lookout for incredible smartwatch deals, I couldn't resist telling you about Amazon's offer on the Garmin Vivoactive 5. The retailer is selling this puppy at a sweet 37% discount, letting you score one for just under $190. That means you'll save $110, which is a pretty awesome deal, if you ask me. $110 off (37%) Act fast and save $110 on the Garmin Vivoactive 5 on Amazon with this awesome deal. The smartwatch is laded with features, has an OLED display, offers up to 11 days of battery life, and is a great choice for someone on a budget. Don't miss out! Buy at Amazon While I wouldn't exactly categorize the Vivoactive 5 as one of the best smartwatches on the market, I'd definitely consider getting one if I were looking for a more affordable lifestyle Garmin timepiece and didn't want to overspend on the Venu 3. It may lack Venu 3's premium feel, since it's made of plastic, but it's packed with features, including energy monitoring and a dedicated sleep coach to help you track and improve your sleep. Another feature I really appreciate is Garmin Coach, which provides training plans that adapt to you.I also really like the fact that it supports smart notifications, Garmin Pay, and Garmin's Connect IQ store, where you can find various apps and watch faces. However, a big drawback for me is the lack of a built-in microphone, as it means you can't take phone calls directly from it. At the very least, it comes with a vibrant AMOLED touchscreen display and offers up to 11 days of use on a single charge. And honestly, I'd say the lack of a microphone is a forgivable drawback when you consider you'll probably forget the last time you charged your smartwatch. So, yeah! For me, the Garmin Vivoactive 5 is a no-brainer if you want a feature-rich Garmin smartwatch without breaking the bank. If it fits the bill for you, too, don't miss out.
