The five-star Sainsbury's dress that's only £15, flatters pear shapes and makes curvy shoppers ‘feel confident'

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHOPPERS are racing to Sainsbury's after spotting the perfect summer dress in the sale for just £15. The supermarket's in-house fashion label Tu is one of the best-loved brands on the high street, and is constantly wowing us with its stylish but affordable fashion. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 Shoppers are loving this £15 dress in Sainsbury's Credit: Instagram/Tu Clothing 3 The frock is perfect for pear shapes Credit: Sainsburys From cute dresses to on-trend work attire, the supermarket fast-fashion range always hits the mark, and its new summer collection is no exception. One dress in particular that has caught the attention of fashion fans thanks to its discounted price is the White Structured Midaxi Summer Dress. Usually priced at £30, it has been slashed to just £15 in the 50 per cent off flash sale. The elegant white frock is perfect for dressing up for girly brunches or city sight-seeing on holiday. The structured bodice and flared hem give the dress a flattering shape and cinches you in. And the dress is made of lightweight cotton, perfect for keeping cool in the heat. In their online description, the Sainsbury's team said: "This white dress is an elegant choice for summer outings. Designed with a structured bodice and a flared hem for a flattering shape. "Cut to a midaxi length, it has been made from a lightweight, cotton-rich fabric, perfect for warmer days." The gorgeous frock is available in a wide range of sizes, from size 6 to size 24. But it is almost completely sold out online already, so you'll have to leg it to your nearest store to pick it up. I'm a size 14 and did the best Tesco summer haul - run before new co-ord sells out And it has already racked up a flurry of five-star reviews from delighted fashionistas who have hailed it as perfect for pear shapes and curvy figures. One gushed: "Real winner. I love this dress. It fits perfectly and I adore the unusual detail to it. "A very pleasant surprise - well done Sainsbury's! Great value for money. I can't wait to wear it." A second wrote: "I bought this dress as a curvy size 20 and told myself that it would not fit …..but it was stunning! "I felt special in it and confident. The material is lovely and the fit was perfect. A must-have for your summer wardrobe." "So pleased with this dress, it's perfect fit and looks stunning", chimed in a third. A fourth echoed: "Such a lovely dress. Looks great on. Very well made. No one will ever think it came from Tu." Meanwhile, a fifth cried: "This dress is beautiful. Cut and style is akin to a premium brand. It's stunning! "I was anticipating the dress wouldn't be completely opaque at the price but it is well lined, an unexpected bonus. The fit is perfect and flattering on a size 18 pear shape with a slight flare to the skirt. "The pleats sit beautifully. Looking forward to wearing in Ibiza this summer!" And a sixth said: "Bought this dress was so pleased with it material is beautiful and it fits perfectly." Is supermarket fashion the new high street? DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in: The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family. Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a 'strong growth in clothing' and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street. Asda's clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury's clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year. So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful? Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it's good quality too - with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative. A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year. Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes. Designer Dupe As well as being purse-friendly, the Sainbury's dress looks strikingly similar to the Everett Linen Dress, which is priced at £298. This makes the Tu dress a whopping £283 cheaper. Both dresses have a similar structured bodice and flared hem, but the premium buy comes in a wider range of colours, including pink and blue.

Grand Slam finalist Danielle Collins reveals vile cameraman KISSED her & opens up on being called ‘b****' by sexist fans

TENNIS star Danielle Collins has opened up on her experience of dealing with vile sexism and misogyny in her career. The American, 31, has won four career titles and reached the final of the Australian Open Grand Slam. The former world No7 has been outspoken on the subject of abuse women have received in the sport. She revealed how whenever people have seen her getting upset on the court, fans never truly know the full picture of what has happened. Collins says that whenever she voices an opinion on a situation, it is because she has reached "boiling point" after sitting on it for a "very long time". The Florida native explains: "And you know, a lot of the people that are watching sports and watching TV they only get to see a small clip of what takes place. "They see me getting upset with the cameraman. They don't see everything that led up to why I got upset... "It definitely seems like when you're a female, if I use my voice and I push back and I ask a question or I set a boundary or even if I don't set a boundary, and I just simply make a request for personal space it's like, how dare I, like I don't have the right to respond or I'm crazy." Collins highlights one example of when a cameraman "made out" with the side of her face after asking her for a hug. She explained: "I had a situation a bunch of years ago when I first got on tour and I was dealing with a cameraman that was very persistent. "And I remember I came off the court, I lost a long three set match, I'm kind of like cramping, I'm tired and all the things are happening. Moment Emma Raducanu clocks 'fixated' man in crowd & breaks down behind umpire's chair before he's 'escorted out' "And this guy goes, 'oh, Danielle, you know, I'm so sorry. Can I give you a hug?' And I, I look at my coach, I'm like, 'uh, sure.' "So I'm like, standing like this and he goes in to hug me and then all of a sudden he goes in to kiss me and I'm like, 'oh no, oh my gosh.' "And he literally starts making out with a side of my face." Collins adds that people often don't see behind the scenes interactions with "weird men" who show up at events before stalking them and following them to their hotels. British No1 Emma Raducanu was the victim of a terrifying stalking case which saw her burst into tears on court at the Dubai Tennis Championship in February. The 22-tear-old hid behind the umpire's chair as the "fixated man" was removed by security after she spotted him just two points into her game. Raducanu's former coach Roman Kelecic, claimed the man previously stalked her in Singapore, the UAE and Qatar and had even given her a letter and asked for a photo in a coffee shop the day before. He was handed a restraining order from Dubai police while his name was also circulated among tennis authorities before it was revealed in June that the sick man had applied for tickets to this year's Wimbledon. Collins spoke about stalking issues for tennis stars last year, saying it was something many people outside of the sport weren't even aware of, with the tennis pro telling The Telegraph how she doesn't really go places without security detail. But no matter how much these issues need highlighting, Collins will still be the victim of insults. However, Collins actually takes great pride in being insulted, believing that being called a "b****" is often directed at women she "loves and respects". Collins says: "When somebody says that, 'Danielle Collins is a b****.' I kind of just take it as a compliment because so many of the women that I love and respect have been labelled as a 'b****,' and they're a badass woman. "There are women that get s*** done. There are women that go after their dreams. There are women that are assertive, powerful, hardworking and they are people that I strive to be. "So I feel like being a b**** can actually be kind of like a good thing because it also means you're not afraid to back down when someone's being a jerk. "It means that you're not afraid to be yourself, and you're okay with not being liked and you're gonna be confident regardless of what other people think about you."
