The Carolina Panthers' first run with their second Muhsin Muhammad has already come to an end.
As announced on Tuesday afternoon, the team has waived-injured wide receiver Muhsin "Moose" Muhammad III, the son of franchise great Muhsin Muhammad. Muhammad signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M University at the end of April.
Little "Moose," a Charlotte, N.C. native, played for the Aggies from 2020 to 2024. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder tallied 81 receptions for 1,163 yards and 12 touchdowns over his five collegiate seasons.
His father, Muhsin, suited up with the Panthers for 11 of his 14 NFL seasons. He is the franchise's second all-time leading receiver and one of eight members of the organization's Hall of Honor.
Taking Muhammad's place on the roster will be fellow wideout T.J. Luther. Luther first joined the Panthers as a member of their practice squad this past December.

Texas A&M will reportedly host 2026 4-star SF for an official visit next month

New Texas A&M basketball head coach Bucky McMillan has been hard at work building his first roster with the program, already landing 13 players, including 11 from the transfer portal, led by forward Mackenzie Mgbako (Indiana) and guard Pop Isaacs (Creighton), who will more than likely lead the Aggies in several categories next season. This month, outside of looking for two more veterans to add to the roster, coupled with transfer forward Rashaun Agee's impending eligibility news, McMillan has offered a long list of 2026 recruits, looking to land at least three, four, or five prospects in the cycle, which would be an impressive feat for a Texas A&M program that isn't considered a blue-blood basketball program. On Saturday, more progress was made, as it was announced that the son of former Dallas Mavericks star forward Josh Howard, 2026 four-star SF Bryson Howard, is set to take an official visit to Texas A&M on August 29-30, followed by North Carolina, Texas, Duke, Houston, Kentucky, UConn, and Tennessee in September and early October. This is great news for the Aggies, who offered Howard two months ago, while McMillan and his veteran staff have already developed a solid relationship with the incoming senior. Last season, Howard averaged 17.1 points per game, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game in nearly 26 minutes of play. According to 247Sports, Howard is currently positioned as the 28th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the 11th-ranked small forward, and the 2nd-ranked prospect in Texas. Steelers will induct Ben Roethlisberger, Joey Porter Sr., Maurkice Pouncey into their Hall of Honor

The Steelers announced plans to honor three former members of the team during the 2025 season. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, linebacker Joey Porter Jr., and center Maurkice Pouncey will be inducted into the team's Hall of Honor during their Monday night game against the Dolphins on December 15. 'It's special,' Steelers president Art Rooney II said in a statement. 'Just to welcome a group of guys that mean so much to Steelers football, mean so to our fans. These three guys made a difference for us over the course of their careers. This group is a pretty special group and belong in there with the rest of them.' Roethlisberger won two Super Bowls during an 18-year run with the team that started when they selected him with the 11th overall pick of the 2004 draft. He is the franchise leader in all significant passing categories and will be eligible to be voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2027. Porter was a 1999 third-round pick who had 60 sacks and won a Super Bowl in eight seasons with the Steelers. His son Joey is now a Steelers cornerback and the Hall of Honor announcement came on the younger Porter's 25th birthday. Pouncey started 134 regular season games and eight playoff games after the Steelers took him in the first round in 2010. He was a two-time All-Pro selection during his time in Pittsburgh.

Texas A&M freshman 5-star WR is looking healthy in latest video

Texas A&M's 2025 wide receiver rotation is built on speed and quickness, which should result in consistent separation in coverage after head coach Mike Elko and his staff landed KC Concepcion (NC State), Mario Craver (Mississippi State), and Jonah Wilson (Houston) from the transfer portal, while 2025 signees TK Norman, Kelshaun Johnson and five-star Jerome Myles represent the future rotation. However, after missing a majority of his senior high school season in Draper, Utah due to a knee injury, Jerome Myles is back and 100% healthy with an eye on contributing at a high level during the 2025 season, bringing his notable size at 6'2" and 220 pounds and speed that fits what Elko and OC Collin Klein are looking for to fill the void left by junior Noah Thomas, who transferred to Georgia this offseason. While many worried that health would be an issue after Myles was the last signee from the 2025 class to make it to campus, that is now in the rearview mirror, meaning getting up to speed with the rest of the wide receiver rotation is key to make an instant impact this fall. In a new video from Myles' Instagram, courtesy of On3/Rivals recruiting insider Jaxson Callaway, the Utah native is already looking the part before fall camp officially begins next week. For someone coming off an ACL injury, Myles is looking like a player with a chance to crack the starting lineup, but will more than likely be the No. 4 option for starting quarterback Marcel Reed once he gets acclimated to the speed of college offenses. Either way, this is a great sign for the Aggies, who know that no matter how long it takes, Jerome Myles is destined for stardom.
