'The Browns own you': Viral video shows fan harassing Joe Burrow in public
There's rivalry, and then there's straight-up harassment and unfortunately, Joe Burrow just experienced the second one. The Bengals superstar quarterback was out at night, minding his own business, when a Cleveland Browns fan spotted him and began heckling.
Not playful trash talk. Just loud, repeated yelling.
Burrow, classy as ever, didn't even react. But the moment quickly went viral and fans across the league are calling it disgusting.
A Browns fan screamed 'We own you' at Joe Burrow while he walked, and the video sparked outrage
The video, shared online shows Burrow walking with his security when a Browns fan starts taunting him loudly and relentlessly. It's unclear where the incident happened, but the fan repeatedly yells,
'The Browns own you, bro! The Browns own you!'
— NFL_DovKleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman)
Burrow doesn't stop, doesn't respond, and doesn't even look at the guy.
His security team, though, makes their stance clear, telling the fan to back off.
The clip has since gone viral, and while some found it amusing, the overwhelming majority of fans were shocked not just at what was said, but at where and how it was said.
NFL fans are defending Joe Burrow and calling out the Browns fan for going too far
Trash talk between AFC North fans is nothing new but this felt different. Bengals fans rushed to Burrow's defense online, praising his calm and blasting the fan for being obnoxious.

Even some Browns fans chimed in, saying it was cringe and disrespectful. The general consensus? This isn't sports rivalry, it's just weird.
NFL fans furious after Browns fan verbally attacks Joe Burrow in public. X
There's a difference between passionate fandom and crossing personal boundaries
Rivalries fuel the NFL. Browns vs. Bengals has always been intense, and sure Burrow hasn't had the best win record against Cleveland. But there's a big difference between what happens inside the stadium and what fans do on the street.
Players, like anyone else, deserve privacy and peace when they're off the clock. Harassing someone with a phone out and shouting in their face isn't 'supporting your team', it's just bad behavior.
This moment isn't just about one fan or one team. It's part of a bigger problem where players get treated like public property, not people.
Despite the taunting, Burrow didn't flinch. He didn't clap back. He didn't escalate. He just kept walking like it didn't even phase him.

Scary scene! Shubman Gill takes nasty blow to the head, Rishabh Pant's reaction goes viral
Shubman Gill NEW DELHI: Tension gripped the Indian camp when captain Shubman Gill was struck hard on the head while fielding at first slip during Day 3 of the second Test against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Friday. The incident occurred during Ravindra Jadeja's over, when Harry Brook unleashed a powerful drive off one of his deliveries. The ball flew off the bat with pace, giving Gill very little time to react — and struck him on top of the head. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Gill appeared to be in pain. He showed his head to Rishabh Pant and then signalled for the physio. The physio rushed out to assess him, provided some treatment, and thankfully, Gill looked better and resumed fielding shortly after. WATCH: Earlier in the match, Gill had been full of emotion after receiving a heartfelt message from his parents following his career-best 269. The 25-year-old made history by becoming the first Indian captain to score a double hundred in England, and the first Indian batter to hit a double ton in Tests outside Asia since Virat Kohli 's 200 in 2016. India vs England 2nd Test: Shubman Gill's 269, Ravindra Jadeja's class light up Edgbaston His monumental knock not only broke Kohli's record of 254* for the highest score by an Indian Test captain, but also surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's 241* as the highest by an Indian batter in a Test outside Asia. After the day's play, the BCCI shared a video in which Gill was seen listening to voice messages from his parents. The emotional moment clearly meant a lot to him. 'Means a lot coming from him,' Gill said. 'Growing up, I played all of my cricket for my dad. It was because of him I started playing cricket. He and my best friend, whom I practised with, are the only two people I care about and listen to when it comes to cricket. But he also said I missed my triple century.' Gill's knock helped India post a mammoth 587 — their highest Test total in England in 18 years. Connor McDavid trade rumors heat up as 9-year old Canucks fan's bold wish goes viral amid Oilers uncertainty
Young Canucks fan's McDavid wish goes viral (Image via: Getty Images) Connor McDavid's future with the Edmonton Oilers is once again under the spotlight. With no contract extension in place and silence from the Oilers' front office, speculation around the NHL superstar's next move continues to build. Adding a surprising twist to the growing buzz, a 9-year-old Vancouver Canucks fan's bold wish has gone viral, capturing the imagination of hockey fans everywhere. Canucks fan's Connor McDavid wish goes viral amid Oilers contract silence and trade rumors The offseason has stirred plenty of Connor McDavid trade rumors, but none as charming as a recent social media post shared by NHL insider Dave Hall. On July 3, Hall revealed that his 9-year-old son had one big wish: to see McDavid suit up for the Vancouver Canucks. What started as a sweet father-son moment quickly caught traction online, largely due to the unusual backdrop of uncertainty coming out of Edmonton. Hall's son didn't stop with McDavid either. The young fan added Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, and Jack Hughes to his dream roster, creating an NHL superteam only possible in video games. But his wish comes at a time when the Oilers' silence on McDavid's extension has made even the most far-fetched ideas seem worth talking about. Oilers face questions about McDavid's long-term future Oilers GM Stan Bowman recently confirmed that the team hasn't yet begun contract talks with McDavid, despite the superstar entering the final stretch of his current deal. Bowman's comments—'we really haven't talked to him at all about his contract'—did little to calm nerves among fans or squash growing trade chatter across the league. Back-to-back Stanley Cup Final losses and a lack of roster upgrades may leave McDavid wondering if his championship hopes are better pursued elsewhere. Meanwhile, other fanbases like that of the Canucks are daring to dream, no matter how improbable it sounds. Also Read: Florida Panthers sign Jeff Petry for $775K as key defensive addition; veteran calls it a 'No-Brainer' move to chase Stanley Cup Since being drafted in 2015, McDavid has carried Edmonton on and off the ice. From his dominant performances to community involvement, he's been more than just a franchise player. Still, with the Oilers showing little urgency, even loyal fans are starting to question how long he'll stay.
