Reliever Santillan strikes out Bohm with bases loaded in the 8th, Reds beat Phillies 9-6
Phillies starter Jesús Luzardo lasted only two-plus innings and Reds starter Andrew Abbott — both pitchers entered with seven wins — couldn't get out of the fourth. The Reds or Phillies scored at least one run in each of the first six innings and the defending NL East champion Phillies finished with 14 hits. The Reds had 11.
Nick Castellanos hit a two-run homer in the first inning to help stake Luzardo (7-5) to a 3-0 lead.
Luzardo pitched like an All-Star deep into May with an ERA hovering under 2.00 through his first 10 starts. He has been rocked in most of his outings since. He allowed a run in the second inning and gave up two run-scoring singles, a sacrifice fly and Steer's double in the third that made it 6-3.
Elly De La Cruz added an RBI single in the fourth and the Reds tacked on two more runs in the fifth for a 9-4 lead.
Sam Moll — one of seven Reds pitchers — tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win and Emilio Pagán got his 19th save. Santillan truly saved the game when he caught Bohm looking on a 98 mph fastball to keep the score 9-6.

Trailing 7-4 in the fifth, the Phillies had runners on the corners with one out and Kyle Schwarber at bat. Schwarber hit a comebacker to the pitcher, who got the forceout at second. Edmundo Sosa hesitated on the basepath and got a late jump before he decided to scurry home. De La Cruz nailed Sosa at the plate to end the inning.

Hülkenberg's long wait is over after first podium finish in his 239th F1 race
SILVERSTONE, England (AP) — Fifteen years, 239 races, one trophy. Nico Hülkenberg finally made it onto the podium with third place at the British Grand Prix on Sunday. That ended the longest wait in career starts for a driver before claiming a top-three finish in Formula 1 history. To do this, he had to hold off none other than Lewis Hamilton, so often unbeatable in Britain. 'I was thinking that he's going to give it all here in front of his home crowd,' Hülkenberg said. 'And I was like: 'Sorry, guys, but it's also my day.'' Starting from 19th on the grid, a perfectly judged drive in the rain and smart strategy saw the 37-year-old German outperform his uncompetitive Sauber car as other contenders span off the road. He showed off his attacking skill by overtaking Lance Stroll for third and then had the toughest test of all, holding off seven-time champion Hamilton, who'd won his home race nine times. 'It's pretty surreal and to be honest, not sure how it all happened. Obviously crazy conditions, mixed conditions. It was a survival fight for a lot of the race,' Hülkenberg said. Euro 2025: Norway's Graham Hansen overcomes Finland with late goal in 2-1 win
SION, Switzerland (AP) — Norway did it again at the Women's European Championship on Sunday with another 2-1 win, this time over impressive Finland after being outshined for much of the game. Caroline Graham Hansen provided the class Norway often lacked, deciding the game in the 84th minute with a cross that turned into a shot ending in the Finland net off a post. Norway's Barcelona forward had forced an own-goal from Finland defender Eva Nyström in the third minute after excellent play on the right wing. Oona Sevenius deservedly leveled for Finland in the 32nd, showing fine balance to direct a rising left-foot shot from 16 yards (meters). Finland's tidy play had impressed more than Norway's more star-studded lineup for much of the game, just as Switzerland did in the first half of Norway's opening 2-1 win four days earlier. Norway now sits atop Group A with six points. Host Switzerland plays Iceland later Sunday in a clash of two teams which lost their opener at Euro 2025. Norway will go to the quarterfinals as Group A winner if Iceland does not beat Switzerland. Tigers' Tarik Skubal looks to hand Guardians 10th straight loss

Skubal (10-2, 2.15 ERA) takes on Guardians right-hander Gavin Williams (5-4, 3.86) in what is forecast to be one of the hottest days of the year in Northeast Ohio with temperatures at the ballpark in the mid-90s. The Tigers won the opener 2-1 on homers from Wenceel Perez and Zach McKinstry, then squeaked out a 1-0 victory Saturday, thanks to a solo shot from Spencer Torkelson. American League-leading Detroit managed just two hits in the second win -- both by Torkelson -- while sending Cleveland to its season-high ninth consecutive loss. 'We won the series, so we don't care how explosive we are or how we do it, especially within the division,' Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said. 'Tork is going to try to do damage every time he takes a swing, and he's doing it. It's hard to argue with his approach.' Skubal has made nine regular-season starts against Cleveland, compiling a 3-2 record and 2.84 ERA with 57 strikeouts in 50 2/3 innings. He also went 0-1 with a 3.46 ERA in two road appearances against the Guardians during the 2024 AL Division Series.
