The 'miracle in a bottle' Nivea anti-wrinkle serum is said to 'reverse skin age in two weeks'

The 'miracle in a bottle' Nivea anti-wrinkle serum is said to 'reverse skin age in two weeks'

Daily Record3 days ago
This anti-ageing serum has been crafted with a break-through ingredient after 15 years of scientific research.
The world of anti-ageing skincare is packed with lotions and potions. More choice is a bit of a double-edged sword, as that means it can be hard to find one that actually works.
However, it looks like Nivea has cracked the secret to "youthful, plumped" skin with its Cellular Epigenetics Age Rewind Face Serum that costs £34.99 for a 30ml on Amazon and Boots.
Formulated after 15 years of research, this serum has been crafted with break-through ingredient Epicelline, an ingredient in epigenetics science that is said to "rewind skin age in two weeks."
It does so by 'reactivating' older skin cells' youth functions through patented age technology, making them act more like the younger versions of themselves, leading to a "100 percent proven more youthful appearance."
That's not all, it also contains three types of hyaluronic acid to help hydrate the skin, targeting 10 signs of ageing including wrinkles, firmness, radiance, moisture, elasticity and plumpness.
It's not the only product backed by science, as Boots No7 Future Renew Serum boasts the world's first peptide technology to "reverse" the signs of ageing, with a 50ml costing £47.95.
Another powerful, yet proven to work, product on the market is Medik8's Crystal Retinal range that is priced from £45. Using the brand's patented vitamin A derivative, it is said to act "11 times faster" than regular retinol.
As for the Nivea Epigenetics Serum, it doesn't currently have any reviews on Amazon, but we have spotted it with two five-star reviews on the Boots website.
One shopper said: "I very rarely leave a review but this is a miracle in a bottle. I am over 50 and have tried many many lotions and potions to help with ageing and over the years I've spent a lot.
"But this little bottle is amazing. I have literally used it 3 days so far and I can see a noticeable difference. This is now my new go to serum. Amazing."
The second read: "Absolutely love this product and the texture when applying it onto the skin. It is super lightweight and leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated after the first use. I am excited to see further results as I continue to use the product."
While we haven't spotted any negative reviews, it is worth noting that, unlike a few other Amazon purchases, it is not available for next day delivery, with purchases taking a couple of days to arrive.
Beauty deal of the week
YSL Black Opium remains an iconic perfume - and we know where to bag the newest edition for its cheapest price.
The YSL BLack Opium Le Parfum offers a more vanilla-heavy fragrance that has been hailed as "intoxicating" in reviews, with a 50ml now half-price at Boots after being dropped from £115 to £57.50.
Massive saving aside, it's the cheapest it can be bought for at the moment, as rival retailers Superdrug, Lookfantastic and The Perfume Shop still stock it at full-price.
This interpretation of the iconic perfume was only launched in 2022, with its original floral gourmand fragrance still offering its famed notes that include pear accord, green mandarin, orange flower petals, jasmine sambac and cinnamon.
However, the iconic coffee accord has been twisted with four different, yet still complimentary, notes of vanilla, which is said to be its most important ingredient, to create an "unexpected smoothness, with uncompromising intensity."
Meanwhile, the unique glossy bottle that has been crafted from a precious black stone, with its dazzling glitter emblem at the heart, eludes to the luxuriousness of the fragrance contained within.
As for the YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Boots shoppers wanting to take advantage of the half-price discount will be glad to hear it has amassed a 4.7 rating from thousands of customers who say it "lasts all day" and "literally turns heads" when it is worn.
One five-star review read: "I love the fragrance. I used a lot the first time, not realising how intense it was. It lasts all day and continues to smell great. I literally turn heads when I wear it."
Don't miss Boots' half-price discount on the YSL Black Opium Le Parfum (50ml) that is now £57.50, down from £115.
On Trustpilot, quite a few beauty enthusiasts have more mixed opinions on the skincare brand in general. One shopper who left a three-star review did urge the firm to "revise" its range of products.
They added: "They didn't help me to moisturise my face even if it's states that the cream is moisturising, lol. Nevertheless, I should pay homage to this company as it has a vast line of different products."
Meanwhile, a few others did leave the company quite a few negative comments, with stating "formula changes" to their favourite products, such as the Nivea Crème, and customer service as reasons for their feedback.

Amazon users praise 'holy grail' £14 rosemary oil that makes hair 'grow like crazy'

Beauty fans can't stop raving over the results that has left their locks "noticeable stronger and healthier." By now we've all heard about the benefits of using rosemary oil in our hair routine. From new growth to scalp protection, it's said to offer many benefits. With so many different bottles available to buy these days, it can be difficult to find one worth spending money on. Fortunately, Amazon shoppers have found one they say makes hair "grow like crazy." It's the Artnaturals Organic Rosemary Castor Hair Oil and Scalp Massager Kit. Boasting an incredible 4.5 rating overall, it will only set beauty enthusiasts back just £14.67. The particular kit is said to provide a "holistic approach" to hair and scalp care, with the "lightweight" blend of four different oils to create an elixir that doesn't just promote hair growth, but healthier-looking strands overall. It's main ingredient is, of course, rosemary oil for hair growth and scalp care, while castor oil helps to strengthen and moisturize. Meanwhile, olive oil offers nourishment and softness, while coconut oil offers hydration and conditioning. With all four combined in just one 118ml bottle, reviews have suggested that it is a "game changer" for dry, damaged hair, with some saying their tresses have "never looked so alive." The kit also comes complete with a scalp massager to boost blood circulation to the scalp, further supporting new growth, alongside gently cleansing and exfoliating the scalp, while also boosting a sense of wellbeing. Meanwhile, over at Lookfantastic, shoppers can get this Grow Gorgeous Healthy Scalp Duo, that offers a two-month treatment, for £39, down from £57, offering a 30 per cent discount. And Superdrug is offering a great value bundle with this Nature Spell Growth Complex Hair Growth Set that costs £29.99, and it comes complete with a shampoo, conditioner, mask, leave-in conditioner and hair oil. However, beauty buffs who have purchased the Artnaturals kit have branded it as a "holy grail" product, as it has "saved" dry, damaged hair in need of some TLC. One shopper who branded the oil a "miracle" praised: "I've been using this hair oil for a few weeks now, and I'm already seeing amazing results! "My hair feels noticeably stronger and healthier, and I'm starting to see new growth around my hairline. The oil is lightweight and doesn't leave any greasy residue, so it's easy to apply daily. "I also love that it doesn't have a strong scent, making it perfect for layering with other products. Highly recommend this if you're looking to strengthen your hair and promote growth!" A second five-star review read: "I love it sooo much. It is my holy grail, it saved my damaged hair and made it start growing like crazy. If u want hair repair I highly recommend this hair oil, it will save your hair in many many ways." It may be worth noting that the consistency of the oil might not be suitable for everyone, as one three-star review read: "Very greasy on the scalp and hair. Difficult to wash off." I got rid of my deep forehead wrinkles with a 20p beauty buy – people accuse me of having Botox, my skin is so smooth

IF YOU'VE developed a deep set wrinkles and lines on your forehead, you might be looking for ways to smooth them out. Naturally, many beauty buffs may resort to Botox. 2 2 But there is no need to fork out on expensive fillers to achieve a youthful glow. One beauty lover fanatic has shared her secret go-to product for getting rid of stubborn forehead lines. And the dramatic before and after photos have blown TikTokers away. Laura Elle posted on her TikTok account, @lauraelle111, where she was raving about a wrinkle-busting product from the online marketplace Amazon. In the video, the dark-haired stunner thanked Frownies Anti-Wrinkle patches for knocking years off her appearance - and at £30 for 144 patches, they're a total bargain. The young beauty shared a snap of herself aged 25 before she started using the product and wrote: "I had a Botox consultation and it scared me. So I found a natural alternative that worked for me.'' Although Laura looked great in the first photo, it was clear she was suffering from some stubborn forehead wrinkles. The stunner, now 28, then shared another image where she showed off her jaw-dropping skin transformation. As if by magic, the once-stubborn wrinkles had vanished into thin air her radiant complexion was line-free. Raving about the bargain buy, she went on in the video: ''If you are looking for a natural Botox alternative, give frownies a try.'' My nan is 77 but doesn't look it - she swears by her boiling water hack & a £10 No7 buy for beautiful smooth skin How do Frownies work? According to Amazon, Frownies "train the underlying facial muscles to regain the strength and tone they have lost." You simply apply one of the patches to your skin and leave it for a minimum of three hours - making sure the patch is covering the entire wrinkle. To remove, you just wash off with warm water. How is celery juice an anti-ageing potion? Celery juice is packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and flavonoids, which combat free radicals that cause cellular damage and aging. Its high water content keeps your skin hydrated and plump, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The anti-inflammatory compounds in celery, such as apigenin and luteolin, help reduce chronic inflammation linked to ageing. Rich in essential nutrients like vitamin K and potassium, celery juice supports overall skin health and body functions. Drinking celery juice regularly can complement a balanced diet and skincare routine, promoting a youthful glow from within. The product - which works out at just 20p per patch - is plant-based, non-irritating, non-comedogenic and safe for sensitive skin. And it's stood the test of time, having been available since 1889. In the clip, Laura also spilled the beans on her new skincare routine, writing: ''So it hasn't been one specific routine or one specific set of products for my overall skincare, except the forehead was frownies . ''What I did was I stopped tanning my face, started wearing sunscreen twice per day and double cleansing, milky toners, collagen masks and creams, retinol, vitamin C, varying moisturisers. ''I use different serums and I try a lot of brands! ''I discovered my skin needed and still needs a lot of moisture so I also use face sprays throughout the day and pack in moisturising products as much as possible.
