Two drivers have been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash on the Lasalle extension in Greater Sudbury on Tuesday morning.
Police have closed the road between Frood Road and Elm Street with no estimated reopening time.
Motorists are asked to find an alternative route.
The police traffic management unit is on scene investigating.
There is no word yet on the cause or if any charges are pending.

Highway 11 partially reopens after transport crash
A single-vehicle crash closed Highway 11 for several hours in both directions in Oro-Medonte Friday afternoon. 5:30 p.m. Orillia OPP confirmed that the right northbound reopened between Line 7 and Line 10. Both southbound lanes remained closed. Police advised drivers to remain patient as significant delays continue to be expected. 4:30 p.m. Police say the truck experienced a tire blowout, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the guardrail. The crash resulted in damage to the guardrail and a diesel spill. No injuries were reported in the incident. Crews remained on scene to cleanup the spill and repair the guardrail. 12:30 p.m. According to Orillia OPP, officers were notified at around noon that a transport truck crashed between Line 7 and Line 10, closing the highway in the area. Motorists have been urged to avoid the area and detour via Ridge Road East or Sideroad 15 and 16, as significant delays are expected. Note: This is a developing news story. Garage fire in Saskatoon under investigation
Saskatoon fire crews responded to a garage fire early Saturday morning. The blaze was reported shortly after 4 a.m., in the 1400 block of East Heights, Saskatoon Fire Department (SFD) said in a release. Arriving crews observed a large amount of flames coming from the detached garage before being extinguished. According to SFD, there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. A thorough search confirmed all occupants had safely evacuated the area. As of 6:30 a.m., a fire investigator was on the scene, conducting an examination to determine the cause, origin, and extent of the damage. SFD says further details will be released as more information becomes available.

Serious crash closes Highway 560

The crash, announced by Ontario Provincial Police just before 11:30 a.m., has closed the roadway at Fourth Avenue. 'Please avoid the area and expect lengthy closures,' police said on social media. OPP said members of the Temiskaming detachment are on scene.
