Three arrested in raids across Hyderabad, drugs worth ₹4.36 lakh seized
In the first case, Kanishk Kevin, a former IIIT Delhi student who became addicted to drugs during his time in the city. After abandoning his studies, Kevin shifted to Hyderabad and enrolled in a hotel management course. According to officials, he had been sourcing LSD from Delhi and distributing it locally. Kevin was arrested in DD Nagar in Kacheguda, leading to the seizure of 113 LSD blots and 16 grams of OG Kush from his possession. Alongside him, three others — M. Deepak Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, and Jethin — have also been booked in connection with the case.
In the second operation, Nerugonda Sai was arrested near a well-known temple in Quthbullapur. The officials seized nine LSD blots from him.
Meanwhile, another man, identified as Desik, was arrested while he was trying to sell 4.69 grams of MDMA at Banjara Hills Road Number 3. A native of Bengaluru, Desik purchased the contraband from a Nigerian national in the city. He has been handed over to the Ameerpet excise station along with the seized drugs.

Two foreign nationals held with mephedrone in MP
Bhopal, Aug 5 (PTI) Two foreign nationals have been arrested for alleged possession of mephedrone during the Madhya Pradesh police's anti-drug campaign, an official said on Tuesday. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Shailendra Singh Chauhan said that the crime branch arrested Orakor Onyeka (34), a Nigerian national, and Benchamat Moon (41), a woman hailing from Thailand. He said the woman, who worked in spas in Bhopal, allegedly peddled drugs online in Bhopal and Delhi, and 2.95 gms of mephedrone was recovered from her. The official said the accused duo have criminal cases in Delhi and Bhopal and had been arrested in the past as well. How MP police anti-drugs campaign earned pride of place in world record books
A Madhya Pradesh police drive against substance abuse and addiction has notched unprecedented success and a place in the World Book of Records. State director general of police Kailash Makwana will be in the British parliament on September 13 for a special felicitation ceremony for the London-based World Book of Records recognised the anti-addiction drive 'Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori', organised from July 15 to July 30, for its scale of engagement with people and impact. The campaign directly reached an estimated 2.3 million people besides millions through social media World Book of Records has already organised a felicitation event at the Madhya Pradesh police headquarters in Bhopal, where the certificate was presented to Makwana. Top police officials, such as K.P. Venkateshwara Rao, additional director general (narcotics), were 'Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori' programme was conceptualised by the Madhya Pradesh police and run through all field units, including the 1,700-odd police stations across 57 districts of the state. The police also roped in influencers for anti-addiction messaging to the people. The Indore police commissionerate was the most proactive, organising massive human chains and oath-taking activity during the fortnight. The campaign, also involving the education, social welfare and health departments, was focused on narcotics. MP is one of the few states allowing licenced cultivation of opium in the western districts of Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam and Shajapur. The opium is used by the pharma there have been reports of illegal opium cultivation as well. Of late, incidents have emerged of the manufacturing and supply of party drugs such as MDMA (3, 4-methylenedioxy-methamphetamine), popularly known as ecstasy. Last October, Gujarat sleuths busted a factory producing MDMA in an industrial area on the outskirts of Bhopal. And just last week, MDMA was found on one of the three men arrested in the arrest of the suspect and his family members coincided with the anti-addiction campaign. The administration deployed bulldozers to dismantle properties owned by the business to National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data for 2022, Madhya Pradesh, with 4,811 cases, ranked seventh in the country for cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Fake envoy case: Jain's 2 kin now suspects for removing documents, evidence
Ghaziabad: Two relatives of fake envoy Harsha Vardhan Jain have now become suspects for allegedly removing documents and evidence linked to the ongoing case from Ghaziabad to Delhi, the Ghaziabad police said on Monday. Jain, 47, a resident of Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh special task force (STF) for allegedly operating a fake consulate from his rented residence while claiming diplomatic status from unrecognised micronations such as Westarctica, Seborga, Ladonia, and the fictional state of Paulovia. He is currently in judicial custody having spent five days in police remand from July 29 - August 2. 'During this period, police came to know about two relatives of Jain who removed documents and evidence linked to the case from his house in Kavi Nagar to Delhi. These were recovered during the raids in Delhi last Thursday. Now, the two relatives of Jain are also suspects in the case (for causing the disappearance of evidence). In all, we now have three suspects in the case,' said deputy commissioner of police (DCP) (City Zone) Dhawal Jaiswal. The police said 'they will face BNS section 238 (causing disappearance of evidence)', said assistant commissioner of police (Kavi Nagar circle) Bhaskar Verma. Officers, however, did not divulge their names.
