Daily Mirror4 days ago
Cyberpunk 2077 has released its final major update, with the Cyberpunk 2.3 update adding a number of new features to the game including three new cars, one new motorcycle, and a host of photo mode improvements
The Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update is a fantastic enhancement to the gameplay, packed with numerous tweaks that will make your in-game photography more vibrant and driving smoother.

The chances to revisit Night City are plentiful in 2025, quite an achievement for an RPG that has been around as long as Cyberpunk 2077. The game has made itself unmissable with its debut as a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title, and most recently with its surprising inclusion in the PS Plus Extra and Premium July 2025 drop, ensuring gamers everywhere have a route to delve into the revamped RPG.

Despite a rocky start, the game has steadied itself over the years with regular patches – and now we're gearing up for one last hurrah with the Cyberpunk 2.3 update. The latest significant patch is making waves today (except for those on Nintendo Switch 2, who will receive it at a later date), introducing a range of features that will appeal to both newcomers to Night City and its seasoned residents.

New vehicles, quests and modifications to the photo mode are heading to the game – so what exactly should players be on the lookout for in the Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update? Here's the lowdown.

What's new in the Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update?
The most significant aspect of the new Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update is arguably its vehicles – specifically, the three new cars and one new motorbike. Each vehicle comes with its own quest, but all cars and bikes are receiving a handy upgrade with autodrive, allowing you to set a destination on the map and enjoy a cinematic journey. It's not the quickest mode of transport, but it does the job. The same applies to Delamain taxis, which will pick you up as long as you're near a road.

Vehicle customisation has also been expanded for the rest of your garage, with new paint jobs available for many existing weapons, particularly the low-tech ones you may have acquired by nicking from Night City's less affluent residents. You cheeky devil.
The update introduces some substantial enhancements for Photo Mode, including new NPCs with customisable outfits, time changes, and the ability to scroll through a timeline for that perfectly framed shot. There are also a few additions for PC players, with several updates for more advanced monitors and equipment. Plus, the game is making its way to Mac, and if you already own it on any PC digital storefront, you'll be able to play it on the platform at no extra cost.
While some gamers might grumble that the final major update for Cyberpunk 2077 isn't quite enough (it's free, so give it a break), there's still a hefty amount to enhance the Night City journey, making the 2.3 update a rather impressive expansion. Moan all you want, but remember, it's not costing you a penny, and that in itself is a reason to cheer.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 patch notes

Reward from a new side job (to unlock, complete The Beast in Me: Badlands, The Beast in Me: Santo Domingo, Transmission, and Search and Destroy).
Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa

Available for purchase on AUTOFIXER.

Introducing AutoDrive! This cutting-edge, autonomous driving feature will take you to your chosen destination (i.e. job objective or placed pin on the map). If you have no set destination, it will take you on a leisurely ride through the streets of Night City. Simply hop in any of your vehicles, make sure you're on a road, and hold H (PC) / Left Stick (consoles) to activate. This feature is disabled when you enter combat or when your vehicle is heavily damaged.
Implemented Cinematic Camera for AutoDrive. Hold Q (PC) / D-Pad Right (consoles) to activate. Sit back and enjoy cinematic views of Night City as you cruise toward your destination.
Self-driving Delamain cabs are now available on demand! Simply open the menu to call vehicles, then select "Delamain Cab" from the list to request a ride. This feature unlocks after completing the job Don't Lose Your Mind (regardless of outcome) and receiving a message from Delamain.
Rayfield's CrystalCoat™ is now available for vehicles from partner brands, including motorcycles. Additionally, the infamous hacker known as Cosmetic_Troll exploited a vulnerability and created a cracked version of Rayfield's CrystalCoat™ technology for lower-end vehicles. Jess Glynne finally meets Jet2 holiday voiceover star Zoe Lister as their aeroplane advert goes viral

Jess Glynne has finally met the Jet2 holiday voiceover star Zoe Lister after their aeroplane advert became the latest trend on TikTok. Their viral sound has been all over social media this summer - with users adding the soundtrack over clips of travel fails - and while their advert has become a favourite for influencers, Jess, 35, and Zoe, 43, have never officially met. Now the duo have given their fans what they wanted as they recreated the advert live in the Capital Breakfast studio. Speaking with Jordan North and Chris Stark on their morning show, Zoe revealed that she has developed such a close bond with the singer that she feels she is 'in her band'. Referring to the song, Jordan said: 'It genuinely is a banger. You go in any club, and it sounds so good.' To which Chris said: 'But it's wild how you always hear that song whenever you go on a plane and then it's in the advert. 'And then, for reasons no one really understands, this summer, it just exploded on TikTok. Has it surprised you how massive this has all gone?' Jess replied: 'Yeah, it's a massive surprise one hundred per cent. It's the most amazing thing to see though. 'It's mad because I feel like when I do my gigs, I feel like when I go to sing the hook, I feel like they're waiting for me to go ''nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday''. It is tempting but I need to take this seriously it can't be a joke.' Chris replied: 'Well, we want to make this moment happen Jess. I'm not going to lie we want to do something very special this morning. 'The whole of the UK is so excited about this. I've had so many messages over the weekend. So, we've not just invited you guys. 'Obviously Rudimental are here, Jess Glynne you're here, we've also invited the voice of the Jet 2 holiday advert. She's here, please welcome to the show Zoe! To which Zoe quipped: 'We're bonded I feel like I'm basically in your band now To finish the conversation, Chris said: 'The dream here is getting you guys to do the sound, that everyone is hearing, live together!' Speaking with Jordan North and Chris Stark on their morning show, Zoe revealed that she has developed such a close bond with the singer that she feels she is 'in her band' It took a while for people to realise that the voice behind the viral - and widely spoofed - Jet2Holidays advert belongs to the British soap actress. The UK-based organisation's ad, which features popstar Jess's 'Hold My Hand', shows a family of four enjoying a fun-filled holiday abroad while the voiceover skips through the offers and discounts available. The high-energy voice that viewers hear throughout the 30-second 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' ad has become almost as distinctive as Glynne's UK chart-topping track - but until recently people had no idea that it belonged to ex-Hollyoaks actress Zoë. Zoe played Zoe Carpenter in the Channel 4 show between 2006 and 2010, making a brief return in April 2017. A writer as well as a performer, mother-of-two Zoe has also contributed to 56 episodes of the soap, which marked its 30th anniversary this year. Other past acting jobs include roles in Midsomer Murders, Crime Stories and Staff Room. According to her management company Harvey Voice's website, she has been the voice of Jet2Holidays for four years. Yet, it was only relatively recently that the mother-of-two revealed herself as the voice of the ad on TikTok - much to fans' delight.

'I was dress coded by a flight attendant and it left me on the brink of tears'

"It was literally so embarrassing, just being s*** shamed in front of everybody" A woman claimed she was "dress coded" and "sl** shamed" by a flight attendant for what she was wearing on a plane. Singer Jacy boarded a Southwest Airlines flight in 2022 wearing a corset top. ‌ Due to the hot weather, with the temperature around 39C at the time, Jacy and many of her fellow flyers were wearing light clothing. But she was left on the brink of tears after the confrontation. ‌ She alleges that the cabin crew member approached her in front of other passengers and asked her to cover herself up. Not only was she hurt by the comment, Jacy felt she was "more clothed than half the plane". ‌ In a TikTok recorded after the incident, she said that the majority of travellers were wearing shorts and tank tops due to the heat, so she didn't understand why she was picked out - or her outfit deemed inappropriate. Another passenger, an actor called Melinna Bobadilla, stood up for Jacy - and claims she was thrown off the flight for doing so, The Mirror reports. Both women turned to social media in the aftermath of the 'dress coding' incident to tell their stories. Jacy, who goes by the TikTok username @maybejacy, said she was approached before getting on the plane. ‌ She said that the flight attendant tapped her on the shoulder and asked whether she had a jacket or another item of clothing she could use to put over the corset top. Jacy refused and the Southwest Airlines employee said she would get a T-shirt for the flyer to wear over her clothes. Jacy said she wouldn't wear it and boarded the plane as planned. ‌ Posting about the incident, she said: "I was literally going to cry. I was about to cry. It was literally so embarrassing, just being s*** shamed in front of everybody. If it wasn't for this lady [Melinna], my angel, I love her." Her TikTok video has accrued more than 620,000 likes since being posted. In it, Jacy is sitting in her seat holding up the T-shirt in question. ‌ She wrote: 'Bro I got dress coded on a flight? Are we in high school? Are you upset about my shoulders? It's 102F? My torso is fully clothed. And it caused a scene because some sweet lady stuck up for me and then got kicked off the flight." She captioned the video: "Give me my money back... or send me a bottle of expensive champagne." Melinna has since come forward on X, formerly Twitter, to tell her side of the story. She alleged that the flight attendant "became defensive when I asked about what rules the young woman was breaking." ‌ According to Melinna: "She responded with 'She is wearing a corset and this is a family company. Some people find it offensive.' I then told the employee that I felt threatened and offended by the man directly behind me wearing a 'Let's Go Brandon' shirt, and she did not care." She added: "Basically, Southwest Airlines s*** shamed a young woman of colour for wearing a tank top they deemed offensive, forced her to wear a company-issued sweater, removed me for questioning their misogynistic policy, exercised a double standard when enforcing an alleged offensive attire rule ‌ "The raggedy folks at Southwest Airlines in Sacramento disrespected two women of colour, endangered one by needlessly calling the cops, and went out of their way to protect a conservative white man. Yup, that tracks. Southwest Airlines is steamy, stale trash. Go out of business already." Southwest Airlines replied to Melinna's thread, which has been widely retweeted, advising her to message them directly with any further details about her experience. However, Melinna replied: "I don't have faith that this can be rectified via DMs Brenna, unless you are authorised to issue an official apology, reimburse me for all costs incurred related to booking new travel, and issue a check for damages and emotional distress." Melinna went on to claim she had called up the airline, only to be placed on hold for more than an hour on two separate calls, meaning she was unable to resolve the matter. She also advised she will be seeking legal counsel. The Mirror approached Southwest Airlines for comment when the story first came to light in 2022. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

BBC told to make more shows for YouTube or risk irrelevance

The BBC and other public broadcasters have been told to make more shows for YouTube or risk fading into irrelevance. Ofcom warned that the future of public service broadcasters (PSB) such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 was under 'serious threat' unless they were able to win over a young generation of disenfranchised viewers. The watchdog said traditional channels would have to work much harder to create programmes specifically for online platforms as audiences increasingly turn away from TV. Cristina Nicolotti Squires, Ofcom's head of broadcasting, said PSBs had a remit 'to make content that reflects the whole of the UK and it's important that they take their content to where audiences are'. She added: 'If audiences are increasingly watching things on platforms like YouTube, then they need to work hard to make sure that their content is seen there. 'That's specifically the case for the BBC, to be honest. They are funded by all of us and at the end of the day they need to make content where people are viewing it.' In a report published on Monday, Ofcom warned that the precipitous growth of streaming services and video apps such as YouTube and TikTok meant younger audiences may not form a connection with traditional broadcasters. Netflix the go-to destination for under-35s Research found that only adults aged 35 and older were most likely to turn to BBC One when seeking out things to watch. In contrast, Netflix is the most popular destination for 16 to 34-year-olds, while children aged between four and 15 are most likely to turn to YouTube. The crisis for broadcasters is most acute among teenagers, with 13 to 15-year-olds spending nearly half their in-home viewing time on YouTube and TikTok. In a speech earlier this year, BBC director-general Tim Davie said the corporation would start making news programming specifically for streaming platforms and social media apps. Channel 4, which has a remit to serve young viewers, has already struck deals with both YouTube and Spotify to make online-specific shows, while ITV last year inked a deal to put hundreds of hours of programmes on YouTube. The race to win back younger viewers has seen traditional broadcasters turn to shorter-form videos, while some have also signed up popular influencers and YouTube personalities. But Ofcom warned traditional channels had more to do as they accounted for only a small proportion of Britons' online viewing. Only about a fifth of the time Britons spend on YouTube is spent on content made in the UK, while North America accounts for more than half. Ms Nicolotti Squires insisted PSBs could branch out into different types of shows without overlooking their traditional programmes and audiences. She said: 'You don't have to dumb down ... Audiences are smart – they know when they're being talked down to – but it's perfectly possible to have the same standards across all different outputs.' In addition to ramping up their programming, Ofcom urged broadcasters to work with YouTube to ensure their shows were prominent and easy to find on the platform. While the regulator said this should be agreed under fair commercial terms, it said there was a strong case for the Government to intervene with new laws forcing the tech firm to show PSB programming prominently. This would build on legislation introduced last year to ensure shows from British broadcasters are easy to find on smart TVs and streaming devices. Ofcom also warned of deep-seated financial challenges facing traditional broadcasters as audiences splinter and costs rise. The regulator urged channels to forge more partnerships such ITV's recent streaming deal with Disney and a broader advertising tie-up between ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, while finding 'creative' ways to fund programmes amid strained budgets. A BBC spokesman said: 'We welcome Ofcom's support and recognition that public service media is a vital part of the UK and its economy. We are also very clear about the challenges, with areas like local news and the TV production sector under particular pressure. 'The BBC will continue to focus on delivering value for all audiences and we look forward to working with other public service media to support the success and future sustainability of the sector.'
