Queen Camilla's subtle beauty change 'takes years off her look'– was it inspired by Kate?

Daily Mirror2 days ago
Can you tell what's different about Queen Camilla's beauty look?
Queen Camilla celebrated her 78th birthday last week, and we're wondering if she gifted herself a beauty treatment for the occasion– one that's seemingly inspired by her step-daughter-in-law, Princess Kate. Eagle-eyed Royal fans have spotted a change to Camilla's usual beauty look, and it's helping to give her a youthful appearance.
The change? Her eyebrows. In pictures taken this month, Camilla's brows look darker and more defined than usual, prompting one expert to speculate that she may have turned to a popular treatment to get lasting results.
Karen Betts, a renowned authority on permanent make-up, explains: 'To the trained eye, it appears Queen Camilla may have had a machine-based brow tattoo. The defined, darker look is typical just after treatment—brows usually soften in colour and shape within 7 to 10 days."
She continues: "While I cannot confirm with certainty whether Queen Camilla has recently undergone a permanent make-up procedure, to the trained eye, it does appear that she may have had a machine-based method of eyebrow tattooing. The brows appear quite defined and darker than usual, which is typical in the immediate days following treatment. This initial intensity is completely normal and brows typically soften in both colour and appearance as they heal, gradually settling to a lighter, more natural-looking shade."
Of course, Queen Camilla could just be using a different eyebrow pencil, or perhaps she's turned to a tint to get a slightly darker shade, but it's true that her eyebrows do appear to have had a makeover in recent weeks – and she's not the first royal to cause a stir with a new beauty look.
Though Princess Kate isn't rumoured to have had a tattoo brow treatment, you might remember when she debuted a new brow look in 2021 and caused the Internet to go into overdrive with speculation about what she used to give her arches a thicker, more youthful appearance. The overwhelming theory at the time was that she may have tried out brow lamination – where the hairs are set into a brushed-up position with the help of chemical solutions – but again, this was never confirmed.
However, it was generally agreed by beauty experts that the bushier brow style helped to give Kate a younger look. Along with a fuller-looking brow, Karen explains that "a slightly lifted arch, rather than a flat or overly straight brow, can open up the eye area, give the face a more refreshed effect and create a natural, youthful lift."
She explains, " Well-defined brows have a transformative effect. They frame the eyes, restore balance to the face, and can subtly lift the features, often giving the impression of a more youthful and well-rested appearance without the need for more invasive treatments."

Kate Garraway's clever way to style a suit co-ord takes years off her look

Kate Garraway looked radiant in a summer-ready blue ensemble earlier this week, as she styled a versatile co-ord to create a fun and youthful aesthetic you can still replicate Ever the one to watch when it comes to fashion inspiration, especially for that oh-so-confusing category of smart/casual workwear, Kate Garraway has yet again wowed fans in a head-turning ensemble that's perfect for switching out a boring suit for something a bit more whimsical while you work. Taking to Instagram to show off the look properly, Kate wore a powder blue tailored trouser and waistcoat co-ord from Nobody's Child, paired with a blue and white striped blouse from Boden. Creating a monochromatic effect in a shade perfect for summer, Kate's keen styling creates a smart suit look that doesn't feel old or tired. It is worth noting that Kate's exact waistcoat is no longer available to shop at Nobody's Child, though it has been replaced with a very similar alternative to use in the same powder blue co-ord, featuring a high boat neckline instead of the classic V-shape Kate opted for. If you had your heart set on the same silhouette, Whistles has this Pale Blue Molly Linen Waistcoat that's ideal for copying the look. Kate donned a pair of these Blue Wide-Leg Tailored Trousers from Nobody's Child, which added a fun and bright twist to the classic blue suit attire. Coming in a flatteringly loose fit to keep you cool during summer temperatures, these trousers are a new take on tailoring. Designed to flatter, these blue pleated trousers hug the waist and fall effortlessly to the floor with a relaxed, wide leg. Kate's exact trousers are currently reduced to £47, and come in sizes 4 to 12, with sizes from 14 to 18 no longer in stock. If your size is no longer available, check out these Wide Leg Trousers in pale blue from La Redoute for the reduced price of £37.69. The shirt Kate opted for was this Sienna Cotton Shirt, which comes in a huge variety of shades and patterns to suit your look. Retailing for £65, this blouse boasts a straight-fitting shape with a feminine curved hem that makes it easy to pair with other items, whether it's waistcoats for that work-ready look or sweaters as we head closer to autumn. This piece is available in sizes 4 to 22 on Boden's website. If you're looking for an alternative look, check out this Pure Cotton Striped Relaxed Shirt at Marks & Spencer for £55.
