I can barely keep up here! The O'Brien brothers scythe their way through the red shirts as full back Jimmy makes space for his brother who sears away down the right wing and over for a try that Crowley converts.

The teams are out and the anthems have been belted out at a rather sparsely-populated Estadio Nacional do Jamor!
This is the first ever test between these two and the 21st new side Ireland have awarded caps against. The last new side Ireland faced was Russia in Siberia way back in 2002!
The conditions here are certainly not Siberia-esque as it is a hot sunny night in the Portuguese capital. Similar temperatures to home with the mercury in the low 20s.
Much different to the pouring rain in Tbilisi last week!

Title: 'Endless competition' at Leinster driving McCarthy
Content: Portugal v Ireland (19:00 BST)
Ireland hooker Gus McCarthy believes competition for places at Leinster is helping him develop as a player as he prepares for his sixth cap in Lisbon tonight.
The 21-year-old also started his side's 34-5 win over Georgia in Tbilisi last week having made his debut against Fiji in November.
With British and Irish Lions Dan Sheehan and Ronan Kelleher ahead of him in the pecking order at Leinster, McCarthy played just three times for his province between the end of the Six Nations and conclusion of the domestic season in June.
"I haven't played a huge amount. I didn't really get involved in the URC knock-out matches or the latter end of the Champions Cup," said McCarthy.

Title: Portugal Test 'to be taken very seriously' - Tucker
Content: Portugal v Ireland (19:00 BST)
Ireland interim forwards coach Cullie Tucker says tonight's Test match is one that will provide a "significant" challenge for his side.
While pleased with their performance in the victory in Tbilisi last week, Tucker believes Portugal - under former Racing 92 and Munster assistant Simon Mannix - will provide another stern test.
"They're a very good rugby team and it is a game that needs to be taken very seriously," he said.
"We're here to win two games and they're going to provide a different challenge to Georgia and a significant one with the heat on top of that.

Title: Crowley can follow 'excellent' Prendergast display
Content: Portugal v Ireland (19:00 BST)
Ireland interim head coach Paul O'Connell says Jack Crowley has the opportunity to "follow up" on Sam Prendergast's "excellent" performance in the win over Georgia in tonight's test against Portugal.
With Crowley having started Ireland's final Six Nations game, Prendergast shone on his return to the line-up in Tbilisi, converting all six of his kicks off the tee in a 34-5 Irish win in tough conditions.
The 22-year-old, who also had what would have been his first international try ruled out, is not included in the matchday squad for the contest at Estadio Nacional do Jamor in Lisbon.
"It's a very important position, out-half, I think more and more important in the game than it's ever been," said O'Connell.

Title: O'Brien keen to make most of Ireland chance
Content: Portugal v Ireland (19:00 BST)
Versatile back Jimmy O'Brien says he is keen to make the most of his chance with Ireland while the bulk of the squad are on British and Irish Lions duty.
O'Brien made his Test debut against South Africa in 2022, but has been in and out of the squad since, with injuries playing their part.
The 28-year-old, who can operate at full-back, centre and on either wing, has been retained for tonight's game, having played 80 minutes of last weekend's 34-5 win over Georgia in the 15 jersey.
"It's about taking the opportunity," said O'Brien, who was a key part of Leinster's 2024-25 United Rugby Championship win.
"Obviously some of the lads are away with Lions and there's a lot of lads, myself included, who have been waiting for an opportunity to play over the last couple of years.

Ireland interim head coach Paul O'Connell has included three new caps in a team showing six changes for from last week's win in Tbilisi.
Connacht wing Shayne Bolton and Munster back row Kendellen were originally named in O'Connell's line-up, while Connacht centre Hugh Gavin was promoted to the starting team after Jamie Osborne's call-up to the British and Irish Lions squad.
Munster wing Calvin Nash takes Gavin's place on the Ireland bench.
Bolton replaces Ulster wing Jacob Stockdale, who injured his shoulder in the 34-5 win over Georgia in Tbilisi last week, while Kendellen comes in at open-side flanker for Nick Timoney, who drops out of the squad.
Connacht's Cian Prendergast, who was forced to withdraw from last week's game because of illness, starts at number eight.
"I have been really pleased with the attitude of the players over the last number of weeks," said O'Connell.
"The dedication and diligence of the squad in testing conditions over in Tbilisi demonstrated the players' willingness to embrace challenges and hopefully that bodes well again this weekend."
Portugal Head Coach Simon Mannix names his first test team since a 21-7 defeat to Romania in the Rugby Europe Championship in March. The former All Black was Rob Penney's assistant at Munster from 2012-2014.

Title: Welcome to Lisbon!
Content: Portugal v Ireland (19:00 BST)
Good evening and welcome to the Estadio Nacional do Jamor in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
Sporting CP defeated rivals Benfica 3-1 here in the Portuguese Cup final 48 days ago with Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres scoring a goal.
But never mind the Gunners, it's Ireland's young guns who take on Portugal this evening in their second summer Test under interim head coach Paul O'Connell.
Can they build on last week's victory over Georgia in Tbilisi and give Andy Farrell some selection headaches when he returns from British and Irish Lions duty for the Autumn internationals?
Stick with us for all of the action. Glad you could join us this evening.

LA28 unveils Olympic competition schedule, marks PlayLA milestone
LOS ANGELES, July 14 (Reuters) - Organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics on Monday released the first look at the Olympic competition schedule, highlighting a historic reshuffling of key events and the most ambitious sports lineup in Games history. The announcement comes as the city marks three years to go until the Opening Ceremony and celebrates a major legacy milestone: more than one million enrolments in the PlayLA youth sports programme. For the first time in nearly three decades, the Summer Olympics will return to the United States, with Los Angeles hosting for the third time after 1932 and 1984. The 2028 Games are set to feature 844 ticketed events designed to maximize both domestic and international viewership. Organizers revealed that the Opening Ceremony will take place on July 14, 2028, at 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT), split between the LA Memorial Coliseum and SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The Closing Ceremony is scheduled for July 30 at the Coliseum. In a notable departure from tradition, the LA28 schedule swaps the usual order of athletics and swimming competitions. Track and field events will open the Games in the first week, with swimming moving to the second week, culminating in its finale on the penultimate day at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The first Olympic champion of LA28 will be crowned at Venice Beach in the triathlon event, while the marathon will close out athletics on the final weekend. Day 15 is expected to be the busiest for medal events, with 16 team sport finals and 19 individual sport finals taking place. "The Olympic competition schedule has been meticulously developed to ensure the world's best athletes can compete in LA," LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover said in a statement. "We are energized by today's milestones and remain focused on the work ahead as the Road to 2028 continues." Organizers said the schedule will continue to be refined, with a more detailed breakdown to be released later this year. "When the world comes here for these Games, we will highlight every neighbourhood as we host a Games for all and work to ensure it leaves a monumental legacy," LA Mayor Karen Bass said. Meanwhile, Hoover joined city officials on Monday at an event at the Coliseum to celebrate PlayLA surpassing one million programme enrolments. The initiative, backed by up to $160 million in investment from LA28, the city's Recreation and Parks Department, and the IOC, provides affordable and inclusive sports programming for children aged 3-17 across more than 40 Olympic and adaptive sports.

Fox Sports reporter who quit over vaccine mandate gets promotion
Allison Williams has landed herself a new role as an NFL sideline reporter at Fox Sports, as she prepares to replace one of their long-standing presenters. Williams will be looking to make further strides at the network which she joined in 2022, after her unceremonious exit from rival broadcasters ESPN a year prior. In 2021, Williams left ESPN after they refused to accommodate her decision not to get the COVID-19 vaccine because she was trying to get pregnant. The Walt Disney Company, which owns ESPN, mandated that all cast members need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 — however, Williams was trying for a child and announced that she would not be getting it. She eventually left the network — where she worked on the sidelines at college football and basketball games — and swiftly joined Fox Sports. Since then, she has worked as a college football sideline reporter and studio host for Fox. However, she is now set to make another step forward in her career. According to Front Office Sports, Williams will take on the role of NFL sideline reporter on one of the network's announce teams this season and replace the departing Laura Okmin. Okmin will bid farewell to the network after turning down a contract extension. She is the third-longest-tenured sideline reporter in NFL history. She was initially barred from working on the sidelines of college football games this season because she refused to comply with the network's vaccine mandate while she and her husband try for their second child. In an Instagram video shared at the time, a visibly emotional Williams said that her 'request for accommodation' had been denied, about a month after announcing she would be sitting the season out because she hadn't yet received the vaccination. 'Ultimately, I can not put a paycheck over principal and I will not sacrifice something I believe in strongly to maintain a career,' Williams said near-tears in the video. Shortly after that, she confirmed that she would be 'separating' from ESPN. 'Belief is a word I've been thinking about a lot lately, because in addition to the medical apprehensions regarding my desire to have another child in regards to receiving this injection, I am also so morally and ethically not aligned with this,' Williams said. 'And I've had to really dig deep and analyze my values and my morals, and ultimately I need to put them first.' 'And the irony in all this is that a lot of those same values and principals I hold so dear are what made me a really good employee and probably helped with the success that I've been able to have in my career.' Williams, who had been with the network since 2011, said she was having trouble coming to terms with the fact that the national championship game she covered in January, 2021, may now be the last college football game she will work. In a statement, a spokesman for ESPN told 'We aren't going to comment on an individual. We are going through a thorough review of accommodation requests on a case by case basis, and are granting accommodations consistent with our legal obligations. Our focus is on a safe work environment for everyone.'

Tense exchanges made Lord's test more exciting, says Gill
LONDON, July 14 (Reuters) - Heated exchanges between England and India players made the Lord's test more exciting and challenging, India captain Shubman Gill said after England took a 2-1 lead in the series with a dramatic 22-run win on Monday. Tension flared between the teams during the intense third test, with Gill sarcastically clapping England batters for unnecessary delays, and India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj roaring in the face of England opener Ben Duckett after taking his wicket. Siraj was fined 15% of his match fee for his aggressive behaviour. "You're giving everything, mentally, physically. There would be times when there would be a little bit of heat from both sides. But I think that's what makes it so exciting, more challenging," Gill told a news conference. "At the end of the day, there's a lot of admiration within the two teams. Both the teams try their best to win." Gill said staying calm under pressure would be crucial going forward in the five-match series. "The longer the match goes, shows how well both the teams are balanced. It's just a matter of which team keeps their calm and composure longer," he said. The fourth test in Manchester starts on July 23.
