Cowboys LT Tyler Guyton fractures bone in right knee during practice, reports say
According to multiple reports, Guyton has a broken bone in his right knee that will not require surgery and he could miss four to six weeks. The Cowboys open the season at the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 4, meaning a recovery on the longer end of that timeframe would put Guyton's availability in question for that NFC East game.
Guyton, a first-round pick out of Oklahoma, started 11 games and played in 15 as a rookie last season. The Cowboys have been counting on the 6-foot-7, 325-pound Guyton taking a step forward in his second season as part of a reconfigured offensive line.
Dallas lost reserve lineman Rob Jones for two to three months because of a broken bone in his neck sustained during its first padded practice on Sunday. Jones had been competing with rookie first-round draft pick Tyler Booker to start at right guard.

Oklahoma Sooners offer USC 4-star offensive tackle commit
The Oklahoma Sooners have the majority of their 2026 recruiting class committed at this point in the cycle. A couple of key names to watch are four-star wide receiver Davian Groce and four-star defensive end Jake Kreul. But as July turned to August, the Sooners offered another big-time target in the 2026 cycle in four-star offensive tackle Vlad Dyakonov, according to a post he made on X (formerly known as Twitter). Dyakonov, out of Folsom, Calif., is currently committed to Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans. But Oklahoma issued an offer on August 1 in an attempt to sway a big-time tackle prospect to leave the state of California. He holds 23 Power Four offers and has been committed to USC since April. He's a four-star prospect across the board and ranks as high as No. 12 at offensive tackle according to the Rivals Industry rankings. Rivals also considers Dyakonov the No. 12 player in California and the No. 101 player in the nation. When you flip on the highlights, it's easy to see why. To say that Dyakonov is a physical presence is an understatement. His play strength jumps off the screen, and combined with his ability to move in space, he's a force in the run game. In pass protection, once he latches on to a defender, they're pretty much done. Dyakonov displays excellent footwork for a guy his size, showing off good lateral agility. He's one of those players that every coach will love because he plays with a physical demeanor and goes through the whistle. Dyakonov has experience at both left and right tackle and has the size and athleticism to be a star at tackle at the collegiate level. Though the Oklahoma Sooners offered Dyakonov fairly late in the cycle, he's a player who's worth the pursuit. However, it may be difficult to pull the USC commit out of California. Currently, Oklahoma has just two offensive linemen committed in the 2026 cycle, four-star prospects Deacon Schmitt and Noah Best. Texas A&M senior RB predicted to lead the SEC in rushing this season
Texas A&M's 2025 running game will be headlined by senior running back Le'Veon Moss, who, after missing the final four games of the 2024 season due to a lower body injury sustained against South Carolina, will be back. Moss is back and 100% healthy, according to himself and head coach Mike Elko, which was further confirmed during the first two practices of the preseason last week. However, Moss has not received the national coverage he deserves, while a small portion of the Aggie fan base is worried that he could face issues returning to complete form, based on the wear and tear of playing running back in the SEC. Still, Moss has dealt with setbacks in the past, and the depth behind him, including Rueben Owens, Amari Daniels, EJ Smith, and freshmen Deondrae Riden and Jamarion Morrow. Last season, depth was a significant issue after Rueben Owens was lost early in the preseason, leaving just Amari Daniels and EJ Smith, who was also dealing with an injury, as the only options behind Moss. As we all witnessed, the lack of depth hurt the Aggie offense, forcing starting quarterback Marcel Reed to drop back more than OC Collin Klein wanted late in the season. On Saturday, Michael Bratton of That SEC Podcast listed his top 10 SEC running backs who will finish the 2025 season as the top rushers, and for what seems like the first time all offseason, Bratton chose Le'Veon Moss to finish the year as the leading rusher in the SEC. Before his injury, Moss led the SEC with 765 rushing yards and ten touchdowns while averaging 6.3 yards per carry. Currently listed at 5'11" and 210 pounds, Moss is a complete back with a bright NFL future, and if he stays healthy, combined with the offense living up to its elite potential, expect Moss not only to lead the SEC in rushing, but also to finish in the top five nationally.
