ICAI CA Topper Success Story: Mumbai's Rajan Kabra has topped the CA Final May 2025 exams with a score of 516 out of 600; known for his curiosity-driven learning.
ICAI CA Topper Success Story: Mumbai's Rajan Kabra has once again demonstrated exceptional academic performance by topping the CA Final May 2025 exams with an impressive score of 516 out of 600. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results for Foundation, Intermediate, and Final levels on July 6.
Scoring a remarkable 86 percent, Rajan is no stranger to success. He previously secured All India Rank 1 in the CA Intermediate exam in May 2022 and began his journey with a Foundation score of 378 out of 400 in July 2021. His steady rise in the CA journey reflects more than just dedication; it reveals a mindset driven by curiosity, discipline, and a desire to understand concepts rather than rely on rote learning truly.
'I don't study just for the answers—I study to ask better questions," Rajan says, explaining his approach. He believes in valuing the process of learning as much as the final result, a perspective that has shaped his success.
Rajan's achievements extend beyond textbooks. Currently working as an industrial trainee at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), he blends academic theory with practical experience in strategy and business. Outside the world of finance and numbers, he enjoys reading fiction—Harry Potter being a favorite—and actively participates in debates, quizzes, and elocution contests, showcasing a well-rounded personality.
Following Rajan in the CA Final topper list is Nishtha Bothra from Kolkata, who secured 503 marks, while Manav Rakesh Shah claimed the third spot with 493 marks.
In the Intermediate category, Disha Ashish Gokhru secured AIR 1 with 513 marks. She was followed by Devidan Yash Sandeep with 503, while Yamish Jain and Nilay Dangi shared third place with 502 each.
At the Foundation level, Vrinda Agarwal topped with 362 out of 400. Yadnesh Rajesh Narkar and Shardul Shekar Vichare closely followed with impressive scores.
The ICAI results this year not only highlighted high achievers but also showcased inspiring stories of determination and passion. Among them, Rajan Kabra stands out as a reminder that academic success is not only about marks, but also about embracing the journey with purpose and persistence.

Land pooling scheme: Farmers to get Rs 1 lakh per acre until land is developed

Chandigarh, Jul 21 (PTI) Farmers will initially receive Rs 50,000 per acre along with the letter of intent (LOI) within 21 days of applying for the land-pooling scheme, said Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Monday. He further said the amount of Rs 50,000 will be hiked to Rs 1 lakh per acre when the government takes over the possession of the land. Mundian also said there will be a 10 per cent hike per annum until the land development is complete. The housing and urban development minister held deliberations with the farmers of 164 villages regarding the land-pooling scheme here to get their feedback and address their concerns related to the scheme. Mundian said farmers who opt for the land-pooling scheme can continue farming on the land until the development work on the land starts. The minister said farmers will get the LOI within 21 days of applying for the scheme. The day the government takes possession of the land, the amount of Rs 1 lakh per acre per annum will be given and if the government takes two or three years in land development, there will be a 10 per cent annual increase in the lease amount, he said. The AAP government has been facing flak from the opposition parties which dubbed the land-pooling policy a 'looting" scheme to 'rob" farmers of their land. Punjab CM Mann emphasises stronger ties with UK in key sectors

Chandigarh, Jul 21 (PTI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday emphasised the need for stronger ties with the United Kingdom in key sectors such as textile, horticulture, education, light engineering, sports, bicycle manufacturing and defence. During a meeting with British Deputy High Commissioner Caroline Rowett at his official residence here, the chief minister highlighted the age-old relationship between Punjab and the UK, noting the significant contributions of the Punjabi diaspora to the UK's economy. He also underscored the importance of developing more ambitious and comprehensive agreements, particularly in the aforementioned sectors. In a statement, Mann advocated for the establishment of a structured communication mechanism between the governments of Punjab and the UK. Mann said such a framework would facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, thereby promoting growth and prosperity on both sides. There is tremendous potential for collaboration between Punjab and the UK, particularly in the sectors of mutual importance, Mann said. Raising a pressing concern, Mann drew attention to the exploitation of young people by unscrupulous visa agents who take advantage of their aspirations. He pointed out that these agents often make false promises and employ illegal methods, leading to severe financial and emotional losses for the families of the visa aspirants. Mann also sought the British High Commission's help to check this problem effectively by formulating a joint strategy, especially by making people aware about the correct visa channels. Rowett praised the Punjab government for its firm stance against drug abuse and expressed optimism that the upcoming free trade agreement (FTA) between India and the UK will prove beneficial for both Punjab and the UK, an official statement said. She also said the British High Commission's 'Visa Fraud Ton Bacho' campaign and its WhatsApp chatbot provide reliable information on safe and legal pathways to the UK, adding that the Punjab government and the UK can further motivate the people to have direct access to accurate guidance for visa related information.
